Wakefield Walking Group Approved......12 of our walkers visited the "Lighthouse" on Saturday at about 3pm...we all had Fish and Chips and after a vote we were unaminously "Very Happy" with the meals we had.The staff were super friendly and the product was excellent....definitely on the list to visit again when next in Flamborough......good effort.

on our recent visit to the nearby caravan site run by a large company. We popped into the lighthouse fisheries, we had X2 large cod, chips and peas. The fish was absolutely delicious, the batter was so tasty, so crunchy, chips had loads of taste and the mushy peas were amazing, all in all it was probably the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. All cooked fresh as you order as you enter. The premises are clean and fresh looking and friendly polite staff. The price was very reasonable. Definitely going back and possibly going to try the crab cakes that looked absolutely delicious. A+++

We were staying nearby so had to try the fish and chips here. We weren’t disappointed. The haddock and chips were cooked to order and were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient too. Worth a try.

We popped here as it had great reviews we had haddock ( gf) & chip’s I had the crab cakes and tartare sauce everything was cooked to perfection the haddock was delicious lovely light batter and lovely chips not greasy and friendly staff 🤗

This has to be the best fish and chips in Yorkshire..Fish and chips cooked to perfection while you wait. Good size fish and plenty of chips.Not over priced either at less then £10. We will definitely return next time we're in Flamborough.

Very busy queuing outside when we arrived, but we were soon served, we went to the back garden to eat them it was a lovely buzzy feel just a shame another couple where smoking - we had large fish and chips both were absolutely delicious the batter was crispy and light the chip golden brown

Second weekend in a row visited, great service and excellent food. We are lightweights so the small fish and chips are an excellent choice. Well cooked and not too oily.

called in on a Sunday afternoon as my Wife is vegan, and i had seen that they cooked in Vegetable oil and offered Vegan choices, my wife had a vegan mini fish and chips with mushy peas and i had a large haddock and chips with peas as well, really good service, and well presented food, we went and sat in the back, as we had our dog with us, tables undercover or out in the sun, my wife said hers was the best she had eaten, mine was the tastiest fish and chips i have had in a long while, and sad to say i enjoy my fish and chips, so do eat them regular, for me this will be my go to if i visit Bridlington and area,

First time at the Lighthouse after reading recent articles about it. Had a short wait and fish freshly cooked to order. The food was nice but nothing special. Biggest disappointment was the crab cakes, although love crab didn't enjoy these. Live along the coast in Hornsea so travelled to try the Lighthouse. Maybe spoiled by our excellent fish and chops where we live.

The best fish we have had for a long time! Freshly cooked to order and delicious. With several different sizes to choose from, we opted for a regular haddock and regular cod with small chips. A nice portion for lunch. It's not a restaurant but there is an outside covered eating area with patio heaters. Highly recommended.

The fish was delicious cooked while you wait and it was cooked perfect and so was the Chips it was the best Fish&Chips we have had in a long time and we are pleased we made the choice and the customer service was very friendly I can understand why this was voted The Best Newcomer in 2023 Thank You for a delicious lunch

REVIEW OF LIGHTHOUSE FISHERIES , FLAMBOROUGH I'm an holiday-maker having a winter mini-break .I wanted to have fish&chips when I first arrived Thursday [1st Feb] but had to wait until Friday teatime [only open Fri/Sat/Sun – low season]. I opted for a large cod and regular chips which were cooked fresh while you wait . There is a large seating area to the rear – a good proportion of which is undercover with lighting and heating ! It was lovely to take advantage and by the looks of it must be very popular in the summer. My fish and chips were absolutely first class 10/10. I only wish I could have had a second visit before I left but couldn't as I was back home by lunchtime Friday . I've since found out they won a national fish&chip award last year and are in the top 10 shortlist this year [results end of Feb] GOOD LUCK! Now I know their high standard they're on my list for my next visit in September.

Absolutely brilliant fish and chips. We had 4 lots of F&C and mushy peas and 2 Gluten free versions of the same. Really wonderful. As a coeliac it was fabbo to get them and the large portion was more like a whale. Really recommended and a very friendly girl served us.

Top quality cod and chips, and you could even get sriracha mayo for the chips. Superb. The batter was feather light and the chips perfect. Generous portion size.

Website says open until 7pm. Got there at 6.15pm but doors locked and despite tapping on door no acknowledgement from the 2 staff inside. How theyve got awards is hard to understand as this is extremely poor service on their part.

Oh my goodness absolutely delicious as always! Wow, we had the best cod and fish I have every eaten at any chippie in the UK. The Cod was so 'meaty' and lovely crispy batter and the chips, I think frying in beef fat possibly. Highly recommended.

We'd previously (in april) had a good meal from this restaurant, unfortunately today's food was a big let down. The chips and homemade mushy peas were really yummy, however the main event of battered cod and haddock weren't nice at all, really soggy batter which was mostly inedible, the fish inside was OK, but the whole experience was spoiled by the battery. Hopefully they were just having a bad day.

We had the crab cakes chips , jumbo sausage and chips 2 curry sauces , the curry sauce was nice , crab cakes were dry , tasted like Tuna flakes mixed with sawdust served with hard tastless chips , the p jumbo sausage was soft/ raw inside with rubber thick skin the bill came to just under £16 definitely wouldn't eat there again unfortunately .

I ordered the crab cakes with chips and curry and they crab cakes were absolutely divine that came with a lovely chilli spicy red dip it was bliss ! The chips perfect and curry . I sat eating in the village in my car as the taste of the crab cakes was divine before heading back to my pad staying at Primrose valley , it rounded my day perfectly thanks guys x

4 of us went and we’re not disappointed, we tried the crab cakes, fish cakes, chips and curry sauce and we all ate the lot! Crab cakes were absolutely beautiful and not something I would normally choose, the fish cakes were massive and tasty, good size portion of chips and the curry sauce is the best I’ve ever had. We used the outdoor seating area which was clean and well kept. Definitely worth the trip from Brid!

Wanted takeaway on arrival in village so looked at both chippies - other empty and Lighthouse long queue so we decided queue indicated best option. Fish cooked to order so fresh but took 15 minutes before getting to front of queue. Mini fish and chips great value and quality better than a lot of chippies I have been to in the past. Would recommend if you have the patience to wait for fresh food. Only downside is that it is so popular they run out of some fish well before closing.

Really disappointed . Small slimy fish in greasy batter obviously cooked in oil not dripping . Find it hard to believe that some of the good reviews were actually eating the same fish we had
