Zachary's Ice Cream in East Riding of Yorkshire

Shame the stars only go up to 5 as this place deserves more! Lovely warm welcome when we entered (myself, Mum and Sis) by a lovely lady behind the counter. We took our seats, which was quite amusing as we are all under 5' but we had a giggle getting up on the seats/benches which only made our visit more fun - and gave the owner a giggle too, as well as my Sis getting stuck on the chair! Having done some research we knew what we wanted so off we go to order two Knickerbocker Glory's and one 3 Scoop Sundae (which took some deciding from the 22 different flavours!) Have to say, my KG was absolutely gorgeous - so much fruit and jelly too, not all Gelato as in other places. My Mum and Sis enjoyed their KG and Sundae too. Was funny when the owner piped up with "That's what I like to hear - silence. It means you're all enjoying it!" to which Mum replied "It's not often we're all this quiet!" Such lovely welcome, lovely clean surroundings, so much choice, reasonable prices, lovely creamy Gelato and a good giggle and chat with the owner - what more could you ask for? Could be easily missed so please check out this place, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to my piece of Flapjack which I brought home for later - perfect ending to a wonderful Birthday :) :) Will definitely be back :)

It was very hot day so I decided to get a icecream there was plenty of flavours to choose from and if they didn't have flavour I wanted the lady went to the back of the palour and came back the icecream I had choosen

Fantastic visit to Zachary’s. We were a family group of 7 and 3 dogs all in need of a tasty ice cream dessert and we all really enjoyed it, great choice of flavours and extras, great service too for such a large group. Loved the outdoor spacious terrace great for the dogs. Definitely will visit again.

Portions of ice-cream extremely miserly and the manager's attitude left loads to be desired. Won't be visiting again!

My son and I visited Zachary's yesterday, and I have to say the service was fantastic and the ice cream out of this world, so much so we took some home along with 2 huge slabs of flapjack ! Totally recommend

Having visited Zachary’s many a time over the last few years I must say I’ve never had a bad experience. I visited today with my mum and we were welcomed with warm smiles and hellos. I had a bubble waffle with two scoops of ice cream and it was absolutely delicious (I cannot exaggerate enough!!) The actual shop is gorgeous with marble tables, rainbows walls and low & high seats accessible to all. The outside area is also lovely to sit and people watch and enjoy the fresh air. Overall our treats were very fairly priced for portions sizes and especially compared to other local ice cream / sweet treat shops. I’d 100% recommend to anyone but especially families due to the fun atmosphere!

Visited this place yesterday with my son after being recommended by a work colleague. I must say I was very impressed. Spoilt for choice with the yummy ice creams. My son said it was the best ice cream he has ever had! Will definitely be calling again. Beautiful cosy place with a warm welcome.

Firstly i’d like to say i do NOT agree with the negative reviews at all! Me and my friend visited today and it was worth the 30 minute drive out. Everything is made with top quality fresh ingredients…and it is shown in the taste you definitely get what you pay for, the quality is FAB! All made from scratch and have so much flavour! Their is a wide range of flavours and different deserts to suit even the picky eaters 😜 indoor and outdoor looks stunning such a nice place to sit in out outdoors, we had such a lovely warm welcome on arrival and spoke to the lady in charge for a while who does such a great job! We will be returning again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took my three children here recently for puddings when one needed the toilet suddenly. The owner would not let us use the customer toilet and claimed this is closed due to covid! Everywhere else has their toilets open and this is a legal requirement! As a place that predominantly attracts people with children the owner should address this.

Our favourite. We were going weekly before Covid. Hope our 5 year old daughter loves Zachary’s. Granted she only has a vanilla teddy bear cone but she loves it. The lemon cheesecake is to die for and always fabulous with one of their lovely lattes. Lots of fabulous flavours. My husband particular loves the unicorn icecream. If there’s no cheesecake I go for the fabulous ferrero rocher or Nutella icecream. Alcohol is available but we don’t usually partake in it. The staff are lovely especially the lady who owns it. We always have a chat with who we’ve found out since is her lovely dad. Lovely well run family business. Covid guidelines are kept. Only one person/family in and out at a time and the cleanliness is fantastic.

After partaking in a lot of ice cream shop visits throughout the region no one comes close to the delicious ice cream and choices at Zachary’s. I have been a few times over the year already and will keep coming even after Covid19. Just to address further comments below , totally understand the toilets being closed as covid19 clean means a lot of cleaning even for a small business . As for being rude , I haven’t ever found any of the staff rude hence I keep going back . Now in all of Hull I have visited the establishment on prinny ave as the previous report stated I should try there but to be fair when I did visit I found it dirty and struggled to find a table without plates on but that’s my opinion . Would I recommend zacharys to friends and family ..... without a doubt and keep up the good work !!!!

We popped in this afternoon for a cornet. Excellent range of delicious flavours and a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the lady behind the counter. Well worth a visit. We’ll be back! 😀

I would not consider having to access through the kitchen as being suitable disability access. As it was opened only a couple years ago why wasn't disabled access part of the alterations
