I visit this cafe regular with residents I look after at the dementia home I work in. They are always so friendly and helping in any way they can to give our residents the best service when there. If I ever want to go all i need to do it ring and reserve a couple of seats on the ground floor. Fantastic place with fantastic staff

Lovely tea in the Lovely palm court. Excellent service and quiet music. Highly recommended. Also in the menâs room they had books to read! Super.

" Gastropub " it says on their website....NEVER ! We went for Sunday lunch after reading how popular this place was on our local FB page. Not the nicest of dining areas , certainly not like their photos. Tiled floor , mis-matched furniture, more like a transport cafe for lorry drivers. The whole place is very rundown and drab , peeling wallpaper, damp patches etc. No starters available . Meat was tender and plates piled high but frozen soggy sprouts, cabbage with loads of stalk and nothing seasoned at all . Very bland .Not a good experience. We like to support local businesses but sadly won't return here. The staff were lovely but it needs a lot of money and a total revamp in order to survive . I hope it does!

The food was good - the service a little on the 'iffy' side - the disabled toilet facilities were dire. There was not enough room to get my wheelchair alongside the toilet. I no longer have a right leg and my left one is permanently bent; an extremely bad situation that should never have been allowed to occur. The facility urgently requires updating to modern standards. Consult someone who knows what they are talking about - physiotherapist and/or an occupational therapist.

We have being visiting this cafe for over 15 years and always enjoyed visisting with family. The team in the yellow uniforms were always friendly and the prices VERY resonable. We enjoyed Xmas luches here and have great memories playing crazy / mini golf. Visited today hoping to enyoy cake and a latte, but noticed new owners have taken over. Sadly not a patch on previous set up and sorry to say the wonerful home made baking was replaced with uninspiring offerings. Latte was the worsed i have had in many years, can only be described it as white coffee, the owner was unimpressed and rude with me asking for a replacement. Will not be returning.

The food was absolutely amazing, no doubt about it. We all enjoyed our food and was full up for the week with the ma - hoo - sive portions!!! The waitress that served us was really pleasant and gave us some great service - quick and with a smile. Even on a busy Saturday night. However I noticed the manager making offhand comments towards her staff that came off as mild bullying, made us sad to see such wonderful staff not enjoy the lovely place they work.

Went for special occasion and was very impressed. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and we will be going again soon.

What's happened to the portion size? Now much less than before the recent closure. đ˘ staff still really pleasant though.

Walked into the Swan Humanby for Sunday lunch could have either one two or three corses reasonably priced. We Ordered the beef it took an hour to arrive and was cold the parsnips burnt to a cinder, veg cold and gravy well the smallest jug ever, ordered the sticky toffee pudding, never again. Sorry but not good at all itâs a local friendly pub but doesnât really cater well for food, need more organised staff.
