Great coffee and cake, but a real shame they stop serving food so early, it was only 2.30pm. Cafe was clean and warm and good value though.

Who would have thought that finely sliced Celeriac served in a lemony and parsley dressing could be so tasty. Utterly inspiring salads were served with a kale pudding, a sort of savoury, cheesy, yummy bread and butter pudding. Very generous and very good value. Friendly, happy and relaxed atmosphere. I don't think they realise just how good their food is! The menu was inspiring. One of those places where the chef knows how to make humble and healthy ingredients into something original and delicious.

This is my go to place for fantastic coffee, wholesome Wholefoods and amazing sweet treats. Love that it’s mainly the vegan/veggie and the sustainable and ethical living ethos. Their porridge is killer. We are what we eat 💚

Very nice focaccia. Went on a Monday. Had lunch. Focaccia and tea. Meal was tasty. Focaccia home made, said lady staff. Everything clean. Friendly staff. Quite a few people in there. Sat by window people watching. Park at the back. Small charge to park. Cost £10.30. I would go again. Salad with focaccia. You can sit outside. I sat inside, bit wet and windy today.

Tambourine has consistently good food, including a range of vegetarian options (we are not vegetarian but still enjoy their meals). Lunches, for example, include frittatas, sandwiches, soups, and there’s lots of variety in salads. They usually have delicious homemade kombucha, and their hot chocolate rivals anything I ever had in Spain. Breakfasts are excellent, too (homemade granola with fresh fruit compote and yoghurt, for example), plus Tambourine makes very tasty and fresh homemade pastries and things like cheese scones — a favourite. On Friday, you can buy fresh-from-the-oven sourdough bread. Oh, and the coffees are delish. All in all, this place is a gift to the community and people touring Saltaire.

We eat here semi-frequently, and the quality is always amazing. Don't be fooled by 'salad' sides- they're really filling and interesting, and complement the main dish (I had squash galette, which was so delicious). Nice drinks options, quick service and a friendly atmosphere- really lovely for lunch.

Very disappointing to find a veggie cafe catering so poorly for vegans. Soup, usually a good bet, was cauliflower cheese, the only other option on the main menu was a plate of salads (!!) not great on a wet October day. Opted for toast and jam only to be told they had no vegan butter. We left.

Absolutely delicious food, friendly service and open on a Monday (which seems to be unique in this part of the world). So tasty :)

Called for brunch after a long walk. Expected more food choices. It was limited to granola, salad dishes or cake. My husband loves egg dishes, which are simple to make and would surely compliment the menu here. We stuck to just drinks and I had a small cake. My other gripe is when I order black coffee I always end up with a cup which is only three quarter full. I get fed up if asking for it to be topped up with water.

This independent coffee shop was open on a Sunday morning when we visited. It has quite a large and pleasant interior and serves good quality barista style coffee. We enjoyed two flat whites which cost £5.60.

First of all I will say the coffee is good but in busy periods you may need to wait a while to get it. After the change of hands and renovation it is very much a different experience. Don’t bother for brunch unless you want a salad, toasties and bacon sandwiches have been cut leaving a lacklustre menu. Go for coffee and cake, great if you will be satisfied with a salad.

Found Tambourine about a year ago. It was really relaxed with a slightly scruffy sofa and armchair in the seating area. The counter and display areas made of MDF and a bit thrown together. The drinks menu was as you would expect, cake offerings were great, including Gluten Free which was an absolute bonus and the small hit sandwich menu was really well done, possibly one of the best bacon sandwiches in the area. The coffee shop was closed over Easter for refurbishment. Was looking forward to Tambourine reopening and making a first visit (again). Left feeling deflated, it's totally changed, even the cups and teapots are new. It's very polished and like every other coffee shop. There's a bigger menu and no bacon sandwich.

Ordered 2 takeaway bacon sandwiches and asked for well done. When I got home to eat the bacon was basically just fat and not well cooked. Total disappointment.

The chap behind the counter was very accommodating, and so was the lady serving on. There was a set menu with locally sourced food. I had the sourdough bacon sandwich, which was lovely with lots of bacon between two slices of butter-toasted sourdough bread. I would call again, but I would try the vegan option next time for a change. The peanut brownie that I took away with me was absolutely divine.

The food here is good but there are limited choices for those who like meat dishes or do not like the vegetarian/vegan options. However the range of cakes is very extensive - personally I would have liked to see all these under cover rather than open to the elements but thisdoes not appears to deter regulars

Really pleased to find somewhere that does a great oat milk latte! I’ve also tried the hummus on sourdough (£5.50 which I thought was worth every penny) and also the vegan brownies are delicious. I have deducted one star as the toilet is a little smelly (think it’s the cleaning products that are stored in there- mop etc) and the baby change mat could do with replacing.

Bright, airy and welcoming. Food & style was nouveau but portions were not small. I enjoyed mashed with paprika on toasted For a supplement I added option of crispy . I paid around £6, but felt full. Friends ate the beans & . The ☕️ was good too. Nice little touch was a table with bottles of tap freely available. Whilst the cafe doesn’t serve a ‘full-English’ but are available and there is usually a ‘Specials’ board.

We stayed at the hotel for the night so we thought it was easier to eat in the restaurant before we went out as we had an event on at Dalby Forest. When we checked into the hotel we were asked to let them know if we would be having dinner in the restaurant, we said we would be but wasn't sure what time, that was all fine but they said it might be busy. We went down to the restaurant around 6pm and it was dead. There were quite a few in the sports bar but the restaurant itself was empty. There were 2 waiting staff on who both spent most of the time looking at their phones. The menu online was entirely different to what was given to us in the restaurant. The online menu made the food sound a la carte but it was pretty basic, usual pub grub menu- steak, burgers etc. I ordered a medium rare steak and my partner had a burger. My steak was OK and it was probably medium rare but it was quite tough and bland and nothing to be excited about. I cannot remember the exact amount of the total bill but we did think at the time that it was a bit over priced for what it was. Wouldn't recommend unless that's your only option to eat out. Not impressed.

Ate here with my partner whilst staying in Howarth. Up the hill from where we were staying but literally a 4 minute walk. We'd pre-booked online but there were some free tables. We ordered fish pie and veg and steak pie, mash and peas. Food was lovely, hot and tasty. Staff were good. We had 2 drinks (cider & gin) and our meal came to £40 so good value. Highly recommend.

This place seems to divide opinion judging by the reviews but we thought it hit the spot nicely. Yes, the owner does invite you in if he spots you looking at the menu but we felt able to walk away, check a couple of other places and come back with no pressure. Sat out the back where there is lots of Bronte and Railway Children memorabilia on the walls. Even on a dreary day there were decent views over the valley towards Crossroads. In the summer the terrace would probably be lovely. We had homemade lentil and vegetable soup each, two sandwiches served with salad, pot of tea, bottle of water and a toasted tea cake for £25. For Haworth that’s not bad. Food was served quickly and was good, solid, no frills stuff - ideal for a grey autumn day.
