We've called in here twice today (not our first visit) and the cappuccinos on our first visit were fine, served pretty quickly, and we enjoyed sitting there sipping them before a long walk, in the cosy cafe area. Friendly staff too, and it's great to see such an eclectic mix of stuff in what's clearly a lively community hub - a number of bikers, walkers, cyclists and locals in and out and sitting outside too, on a chilly December Sunday. Lunch, after a delightful walk, was a different matter I'm afraid - and we really wanted the cafe to be a great place to eat. Only white bread for sandwiches and toasties ("we don't get enough call for brown..." - really?!) and the offer of gluten-free bread instead really didn't cut it. So Jenny had a teacake instead - a bit disappointing, thin and a bit dry, with a couple of tiny packs of butter - while I had a jacket potato with cheese and spring onion mayo filling. The potato was lovely and the filling was fine but there just wasn't enough of it. We were so disappointed: little community cafes like this can be great (& the cake selection looked great, but that's not what we needed) but it felt as if the staff hadn't realised they need to up their game. We will come back (for coffees, or to pick up some of the quirky artwork there - there are some interesting MJT prints of local iconic scenes on display which definitely caught our eye) but we won't be having lunch here again I'm afraid unless they can improve the range and quality of their food.

Went in with my wife and a friend. First thing I would say is that the seating area is always clean and tidy, no dirty cups and saucers left on the tables. We ordered coffee's and our friend ordered coffee and a sandwich. Unfortunately, his choice of filling was not available so he ordered an alternative, this the cafe sold out. He asked for a third choice and did get that. I find it strange that a cafe should be out of certain fillings as early as a Tuesday, perhaps they had a very busy weekend and deliveries had not been made. What our friend did eat, he said was fine. Next time we may be more fortunate.

Stopped here with a couple of friends for a snack. We all had varieties of bacon sandwiches, mine was with sausage. They were fantastic, with thick cuts of bacon's and tasty sausages. The coffee is top class the the staff and other people were friendly and chatty. A great place to stop during a walk or just for a coffee!

The picturesque village of Bradfield is justly popular with Sheffielders and tourists, and it is a perfect place in which to refresh yourself after a walk, bike or run in the adjacent countryside. There are a couple of fairly standard pub eateries serving the village, as well as two cafes. One of the cafes - Flask End - is excellent value for money. On my last visit, I rounded off a 9 mile run with a drink of Boveril and a ham & cheese toastie, and it knocked me back a mere £3:50; and both drink and sarnie were really tasty - the latter served with a slice of off-the-bone ham. The cafe is small and is part of a post-office: there are just a few tables inside and outside, all of which adds to the cosy atmosphere. The staff are a genuine and friendly welcome personified.

Not just the village general store and post office, this little gem is a café too. Tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes and other hot snacks served by a very pleasant and friendly lady. Even had the company and conversation of a local villager. Really nice place to rest awhile after a days walking the Bradfield Dale and reservoirs area. Recommended.

Got hot choc and it was a big watery, there was an ok bacon sandwich but I was slightly put off by staff who could have been a lot more cheerful and pleasant.

This absolute gem of a place is a post office, village store and tearoom. The lady who runs it is super friendly and bends over backwards to help in any way she can. So friendly and accommodating and the buns are delicious.

This is a lovely little café in the heart of Bradfield. This place has a real community hub feeling to it. The coffee and cake is a nice treat after a nice walk around Bradfield.

We stayed at the cottage behind the post office for valentines weekend and loved it. It's a really good size with 2 bedrooms and the bathroom downstairs, and a big kitchen, dining room lounge upstairs. The log burner is easy to use and incredibly warm. The kitchen is great with unexpected features such as a wok burner. Bradfield is a lovely quaint small village. In the day there's lots of walks to do plus the post office and the school rooms (cafe farm shop) for coffee needs. At night there's one pub in lower bradfield and one in upper bradfield. I prefer the later called the old horns. It's fantastic. Huge quality barginous meals, great ales and wonderful views. I've even seen Morris dancers in the carpark before. This cottage is perfect for a couple or a family, or even 2 couples! You must walk round dam flask water - takes about an hour. And if it's cricket season you have to watch the active cricket team while having an ice cream from the van or a loose leaf tea from the post office. Overall a quite peaceful village with lovely walks and very friendly and helpful villagers (they helped out when our car wouldn't start). I recommend liking Flask End on Facebook to be kept up to date with what wonderful cakes they have each week, very local weather reports, plus pictures of their lovely customers.

Waiter gave us a menu and explained the process for ordering etc very promptly. Young lady behind the coffee bar took my order nicely and asked me to wait for the coffee for me to take to our table. No problem with that. However, whilst waiting, the initial girl and the other girl barista chatted very loudly, no rush to make my drinks. They were discussing a story between them and we're swearing f***ING loudly and persistently in front of me and other customers . Unaware this is not a great experience.

We heard that the Angel Inn had re-opened under new management, and that the pub had been given a make-over and were now doing really good food - so we thought we would go and check it out! We went along mid-afternoon on Thursday 25th January, 2024, the place is very clean, warm and welcoming, a nice, cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Louise the manager, who we took-to immediately, is so enthusiastic and passionate about running a good pub. They have a wide range of drinks and the menu although limited at present, is set to be extended, and they do Sunday lunch. The chef, an ex-army chef but with lots of civilian experience in restaurants too, is also passionate about providing great, home-made food. We very much liked the look of things, so we booked for Sunday lunch - we went along on Sunday 28th January - the food did not disappoint! We had a choice of beef, pork or chicken, or we could have some of each. The plate came out with the meat, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, along with it came a large dish of vegetable and a gravy boat. As promised, everything was home-made, cooked from scratch and as we expected, totally delicious! Then came dessert, we all had treacle sponge with custard, but there was a choice of jam sponge, apple crumble or cheese-cake, - home made, and it too was delicious!, and all at a reasonable price - well worth it! We will be back - but we are also going to go along mid-week and check out their menu offers - they are going to be getting wine and drinks offers too - what more could you want! 👍😁.
