The Travellers Rest in Sheffield

Called Christmas eve and wished we hadn't bothered. Boring, no atmosphere, no Chistmas songs , just bland. Hope it's not like this all year round. It was like an old people's home.

This pub/restaurant is not far from where we live thankfully and I don't know why I haven't done a review before but will rectify this now. Been a few times for Sunday lunch and chose the smaller dinner option but you won't go hungry as there is more than enough to fill you and really tasty homemade food. Had a family celebration meal there last night and as there were nine of us they requested a pre order which wasn't a problem at all. Everyone had a different option for their meal and everything was really delicious and again home made, no complaints from anyone also can I mention the desserts are so good too. Reasonable prices for the meals and drinks and the hosts and staff are so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Tracey and everyone at the Travellers.

What a gem of a pub! We managed to get a table for 2 for Sunday lunch at short notice, but not because they weren't busy, just kind enough to fit us in around despite having a large family party at the same time. We both had roast beef Sunday lunch and it was one of the best I can remember having in a long, long time. Traditional home cooked and very good food as well as well kept ale. Also very friendly service. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks very much! David

Lovely little find after being let down by another local pub in Pebley. Landlady and staff very friendly and managed to squeeze us in at the last minute for Sunday dinner. My husband and I had roast beef which was great as were the perfectly cooked vegetables. We really appreciated them being so accommodating as we were half way home on a 250 mile journey.

Not a very nice meal poor quality tasteless the prawns in it tasted as though they had been frozen defrosted & refrozen we had to wait 50 mins to have it we won't be back

Great home cooked food and a lovely beer garden. We had the ribs, bbq chicken and garlic chicken. All were lovely, especially the home cooked chips and fresh salad. Dog friendly!

We had the Beef dinner, was excellent proper yorkshire pudding and plenty of vegetables. Lovely staff, really made us welcome. A real Gem of a place we found by accident

Got there and a group were playing folk music, lovely happy atmosphere, staff happy, pleasant, food was delicious. Highly recommend here, will call again.

Wonderful food and lovely bar staff

First time visiting and won't be the last. Food was lovely and the homemade puddings excellent. But mostly it was the welcome and friendly service from the lovely landlady that will bring myself and my dad back. Too many chain pubs these days that don't offer that personal touch. On such a hot day she was still smiling and chatting. Thanks for a lovely lunch 👍👍

We had the chicken & gammon meals. Well presented & very tasty. Friendly staff & a decent pint. Parked on front of pub adjacent main road. Clean throughout & Covid regulations observed. Can recommend. Best to book a meal in advance.

ZERO stars!!! Very disappointed from reading reviews. Asked if they were serving food as there was no one in apart from a couple of regulars drinking. Yes food was being served, we a family of 5 bought drinks sat down and started to review menu. The waitress started to take order and on the third order I asked for mixed grill, immediately told no mixed grill! We put 2 orders of steak in so asked for a third instead of mixed grill…waitress said I’ll check how much steak is left! Came back and told none! Why wasn’t we told it’s a limited menu before as I wouldn’t have got the family out of the car and pay £15 for drinks! Parish Oven was amazing, I’d recommend going there.

Beautiful pub, with excellent ales and really outstanding food. On fine days superb views can be enjoyed whilst either drinking or dining alfresco. Dog friendly, both indoors and out, an oasis of calm, an unhurried respite from a chaotic world.

Had my daughters 1st birthday party meal here. We all enjoyed it.

Don't come here if you're hungry . Food not bad but am a grown man I paid over £10 to be served with a portion suitable for an 8 Yr old . An when I maid a complaint they were a bit rude and mardy about it . I'm off to get a big mac now. Also went outside the door and she made my child leave cause kids aren't aloud in a pub with out an adult. The child was sat quietly

Been for a biker night here, but the travellers rest is very good atmosphere, friendly and welcoming, good food and drink, with very good quality service and great friendly staff all very helpful.

We went last week 4 of us for a meal food was lovely recommend fish and chips! Tracey the landlady is lovely and friendly we did the meat raffle and I won😁.Covid rules observed felt safe but good atmosphere too and welcoming. Nice selection of rum especially dead man's finger!

For me, it's local and they have different guest beers and ciders. Friendly Landlady and staff. They also do home cooked food and although I have yet to sample any of it, I have been told it's very nice.
