Sherwood in Sheffield

Food was brilliant all cooked fresh and hot, the staff are very welcoming and sue was very helpful when ordering, the pub was very clean and we will be returning

After moving to Sheffield over a year ago and visiting the Sherwood a few times I never knew that they was on trip to leave a review! Which is bad on my side as I’ve never asked how to leave feedback! Sorry guys! I visited for the first time on Friday evening and was surprised to see that a DJ had been set up for the evening! ( felt like the good old days) the young chap being bar (around 5”5) was very well mannered and served me quite quickly even tho the bar was very busy!! Absolutely loved my evening and can’t wait to visit next Friday with a few mates for the same!! Hats off to the manager and team the pub was bouncing and should be proud of yourselves!!

Visited here since moving to the area.. very welcoming and food is top notch! Good selection of beers! Can’t wait to visit on a Friday when they have a DJ! Boogie on!

I went to the Sherwood with some of my friends we was welcomed by Susan who had a great big smile on her face the service was exceptional and the food and drinks we fantastic would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a lovely pub environment with great service and food.

Served by Shannon who was really polite and helpful throughout, she brought our drinks and food and offered us extras, a lovely young lady!

Came with my young daughter an Mum for lunch. Food was quick and hot, lamb kofta wrap was delicious! Fries were red hot and crispy. Kids burger was large and half was left and lasagna and garlic bread was nice and fresh too, not over cooked, just right. Staff were friendly and quick to serve us. Really enjoyable lunch. Thank you!!

Great pub to visit and relax with friends and family. While feasting on the amazingly tasty food prepared by their top chef. Staff and management are so helpful and attend to every need. Extra soure or condiments. Full range range of alcoholic and none alcohol beverages and soft drinks. It's a must drop in. Also a turns into a night club with dance floor in the other half of the pub sports bar area.

Lovely pub and service. Had a little problem with order but it was solved quickly and efficiently. The food was hot and was served in a reasonable amount of time.

Joseph was on the bar and as usual a nice welcome from him with drinks ready to pour as he always knows what we like best top service

Had a lovely time at Sherwood Pub! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Taylor was an outstanding waitress—friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, the Sherwoos had gone downhill. The service is poor, you could be waiting a long time to get served, the food is basic and the music is pretty much golden oldies.

Used to love coming here, now it feels so dreary, staff used to be friendly and cheerful now just slow, uninterested and some even rude. Food used to be decent and today was just abysmal, ordered a steak medium came more on well done side, so sent back and then next one was medium temp for 2 bites and then rest was just well done again.. after that we just left as was too late to wait again on a 3rd attempt. Used.to love it here but now we will just go elsewhere

Has a good atmosphere food and a range of wines beers spirits

Don’t know what’s going on here at minute but it’s gone downhilll fast, evenings seem to be full of teenage drinkers and some look underage dressed in tracksuits and sliders not the vibe most locals would like anymore . This pub was run like a tight ship and it worked , not sure how long this will go on for but let’s hope it changes for the better soon before we all stop going in .

Came for breakfast with santa kids loved it santa was lovely presents were decent and the food was really good. Staff couldn't do enough for you def come again.

Visited for our Christmas do and the staff were incredible. Alexx and courtney served us all night and were extremely kind and had a good laugh! Cannot recommend enough!

Came for tea as a family and always lovely food. My daughter always has to choose one of the deserts. It's a nice atmosphere and we always feel really chilled out as a family when we come. The staff are really friendly and always go out of their way. Toilets are always spotless. My daughter likes to sit on the booths and watch the children's programmes that are on while she has her food. Best pub by a mile!

Some meals not what we are use to

Had 3 mini mixed grills the sausage needed browning more the food came quickly & was lovely & Hot but it went Cold quickly Due to the Bar being freezing Cold I looked at the Christmas menu but due to it been so cold we won’t be coming it looks delicious maybe try you in summer.

Nice place , good food , reasonable prices. Everyday different deal for a meal etc . Crayons and colouring paper for kids what is extra plus to keep kids entertained.

When ordering food and drink, middle aged woman behind the bar was impatient, rude and unprofessional and she really annoyed me. The fishless fishfingers on baguette was awful. Dry and bland. No tomato sauce with the meal as advertised, had to ask for some. I also had to ask for butter as the whole food was dry and hard to swallow. Terrible service, terrible food. I won't be going back.

We are a group of ladies over 50 and we meet up every couple of months for a good catch up n lovely food. As usual we have had a lovely time and look forward to our next visit. The timing of our meal was perfect and no one had any complaints Service was fab and staff were very pleasant xx Many thanks

Called to the Sherwood with a friend for lunch. The woman who served me behind the bar was awful, really rude and impatient. When ordering food and drink she kept huffing and puffing, sighing and basically acting very unprofessional. She looked in her 40's, blonde hair. I ordered fishless fishfingers on a baguette with iceberg lettuce and tomato sauce. No tomato sauce, I had to ask for it. No butter, it was so dry I had to ask for some. The worst food I've ever had. So bad service, awful food. I will NEVER spend my money in there again.

Cheap and cheerful good family pub

£8.99 including bread an butter. Granted I asked for no mushrooms but seriously pathetic for £9 I mean 1 sausage - Seriously. Chain pubs suck!

We arrived as a booking of 15 and were quickly seated in an area which was private and had plenty of room for us all! Staff were incredibly friendly throughout our visit, especially the service at the bar. Will definitely return for future celebrations.

Went in for a wake after a funeral, this week one of the bar staff was really obnoxious little guy with glasses black hair, telling us he had the right to not serve us because we had been in along time, even though we had put X amount of money over the bar and just played pool and kept to our self's, the lasses round the other side were absolutely gems, He needs to check his attitude

Had a 21st birthday party for my son the staff where amazing the food was hot and very tasty the only down side was they didn't corner the area off so people kept walking in .

Ordered the new item sloppy Joe on Texas toast only to be givin something different to what I ordered because they haven't got it without asking me was given Mac cheese what I can't stand no apology no money back disgraceful and disappointing

A change in management has seen a reduction in staffing levels, whilst I accept that it is difficult to staff up on walk ins etc, it is also not acceptable to be waiting to be served at the bar for more than 5 minutes at a time, as a regular customer and noticing the difference I believe it is time for me to change venues, a shame as the staff who work there are approachable but now under immense pressure, certainly not a community venue anymore and falling under the corporate business of not caring anymore.

Went for a social drink and food on Friday night. Bar staff was very friendly. Staff was constantly collecting glasses and keeping the outside area clean

Went in for dinner last week was brilliant, food was fast and staff was lovely the new manager is great too think it's defo going to be my new place to eat out.

Had the Tues special - build your own meal. Half chicken,jacket spud and coleslaw. Shame the coleslaw was poor standard - not much taste and texture like chewing concrete

Really good prices on drinks, especially non alcoholic ones. Quick to serve, plenty of seating, and a car park. Would recommend

The food was so nice! We went on Saturday and had the "any special for £9" deal. So worth it. I had the Katsu special... fantastic, great portion size, brilliant value for money. It's a Hungry Horse, so: There's different deals on each day of the week. The menu is so diverse, there's something everyone would like. The atmosphere was lovely and the resturant was clean.

Good pub ,good value food but really ,three TVs playing full blast , different programs? You can't hear what they're actually saying , a cacophony of random sound , even if you did want to watch the TV ,which I don't ,vi don't go to the pub to watch the TV, mute the TVs please!! They sorted it 😂👍

First visit to the Sherwood as recommended by a friend. I ordered the mix it up special, there’s so much to choose from. The food was very tasty and hot. The staff serving were very polite and friendly and made up feel very welcome. They could do with updating the outdoor area as it looks a little tired, would be great in the summer time.

Friendly place and a good choice of gluten free food. Shame the cheese cake was out of stock. I will definitely be back...

Service is good, but the food wasn't nice today,we had chicken new Yorker,it tasted rubbery,didn't like It all all.also asked for no BBQ sauce as GF but they brought it out with it on then took it back n fetched me another without .wasn't enjoyable at all. But I still like it's local ,
