Omega at Abbeydale in Sheffield

Asked for 2 meat burritos and could not find any sign of meat, just rice beans and cheese, with very little seasoning and no salt at all. As it was take away I only noticed it at home, or else I would have asked them to remake it or get my money back. Will not return and do not reccomend.

Awful food, ordered chimichangas with beef chilli and the meat was no where to be seen, wrap was full of rice. We also ordered and paid for some chilli poppers that we didn’t receive, will not order from there again!

The food is very delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

How is this place even open?! Terrible food, even worse service. Walked into a member of staff shouting down the phone to a customer (should have learnt from this not to order). Ordered anyway. Waited an ungodly amount of time. Food was cold despite us ordering at the shop. Took the hit an just dumped it in the bin. Never going back. Easily the worst place in Millhouses. Avoid.

The food was nice but the fries were cold and the lining paper they put in the box disintegrated so I spent the whole time picking bits of wrapped papers out of my mouth and food. Not pleasant.

Food was awful I've payed £22 for a meal deal and it's gone in the bin .. we got 2 beef burritos there was bearly no meat in them it was just full of rice and beans had no cheese on it and had no taste the curly fries was cold and over cooked and the chicken nachos was just a box of salad with tortilla chips and bits of awful chicken do not recommend

We ordered a takeaway from here a few months ago and the food was awful. It turns out they are now trading as 'Papi Taco' on UberEats/Deliveroo/JustEat (as well as still trading as 'Taco Mex') and we ordered without realising - the food just arrived and it's still awful. The burrito we ordered contained the wrong meat and was basically just rice, beans and a tiny amount of (wrong) meat - it was dry, cold and missing all of the sour cream, salsa and queso that was ordered. The burrito bowl came with no meat and no salsa, despite ordering both. The Papi's nachos were stale and bland. At the time of writing there are no contact details nor address for 'Papi Taco' available on the web, but if one clicks on the food hygiene rating for 'Papi Taco' in Deliveroo it takes you to the food hygiene rating for 'Taco Mex'. Given 'Taco Mex' has received some dreadful reviews since opening, it seems the owners have (rather deceptively) rebranded as 'Papi Taco' but continue to deliver wrong/terrible food.

Absolutely disgusting customer service hung the phone on us after taking over an hour. Food came freezing cold refused to give us our money back. Don't order from these people they should be shut down I wish I checked the reviews before hand.

Wanted this to be good but it wasn't I'm afraid. Poor quality chicken, cheap tasteless bread bun and very poor frozen chips.2 of our group reasonably satisfied but 3 disappointed. Not great value, won't order again. Shame for a new place. Sorry

Terrible, after ordering before from the London road store and it being really nice. This one is awful. Burrito was cold (and I don't like my food piping hot anyway) full of beans and rice and barely any other ingredients. Collected aswel so should've been fresh made and hot. Wouldn't waste my money again.

Recently paid a visit to this restaurant and had an excellent experience. The food, the service and everything about this restaurant was first class. There was a very good selection of food, cooked to perfection. There is plenty of car parking space, but please ring ahead and book as there are only about 30 covers and they are not open every day. Well done and keep up the good work.

The food is always incredibly good at the Omega and very reasonably priced. We had Sunday lunch yesterday with our son and two of our grandchildren. As usual it was a wonderful experience and the food was of such a high standard, we’ve already booked again. The staff were friendly and attentive, ably organised by Jamie.

Food was reasonable. Waited over an hour for delivery, nearly 1 hour 30, which wouldn't normally be an issue that I would highlight for a takeaway on a Friday night. However, it became an issue when there were no updates provided through the app when requested, nor would anyone answer the phone number provided. Had to locate another phone number from Google. Which was (eventually) answered Unfortunately this means I would not order from this business again, when there are takeaways with much more responsive customer service.

Don’t bother wasting your money better off going across the road and getting a bag of chips. Basically just got paid £7 for salad in a wrap.

We ordered here after being keen to try their new site that opened near us, hoping for a better experience than with their London Road shop a few years ago. Order arrived 50 minutes late (we are about 0.5mi away). We had to call the shop twice to ask about the progress and when to expect the food. We wouldn’t have minded if they gave us an accurate delivery time at the start, but it left us ravenous waiting for food that we didn’t know when it would arrive. It was warm, and all items arrived (unlike when we ordered from their London Road location a few years ago). Burritos were veggie, but contained vegan cheese (which was not requested). Burritos were very rice heavy, with much less of other fillings, which was a shame. We also ordered grande nachos for £10 and it was probably a mistake. It was a good large portion, but not much cheese (and again vegan, which we didn’t want), and a lot of raw onion (not to our tastes). We did request no chilli peppers but it arrived with them - not the end of the world as it was a sweet kind that I enjoyed a couple of, but meant they didn’t read our requests. All items were missing sour cream. Overall, it was edible, and it did arrive, but we won’t be recommending this place or ordering from here again.

Great venue, it's a comparatively new location for a legendary Sheffield establishment and it lived up to it's great reputation. Lovely food and service, choice of real ales followed by Sheffields favourite party band, the Acoustic Angels. Thanks for a fantastic night

Excellent night spent eating, drinking & dancing. A fabulous 3 course meal. Lovely salmon starter followed by melt in the mouth lamb, with seasonal vegetables, yorkshire pudding & a minted potato cake. Then strawberry cheesecake with fresh strawberries & cream. Finished off nicely with coffee/tea, homemade cookies, chocolates & brownies. All tastes and dietary requirements catered for in a professional but subtle way. Following the delicious food an opportunity to dance off a few calories with 2 sets from the fabulous Accoustic Angels. It was a warm evening but that didn’t stop everyone dancing & singing. Great evening, I really enjoyed it immensely

Went to a Summer Ball here on 30th July and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you; the food was lovely and served in a timely manner - never felt rushed but not kept waiting either. The entertainment was superb as ever - the Acoustic Angels. It was warm in the room but it was a very humid evening and it didn't stop us dancing!

What a disappointment...... Loaded fries chips not cooked toppings like slop. Burrito meatball vile tinned meatballs no sauce and wrapped in a tortilla wrap quesadillas same I could cook it better won't be using again !!!!!😠😡

A fabulous evening shared with good friends. The venue was warm but that didn't deter from the whole experience. The food was excellent, we opted for the vegetarian starter which was a mozzarella & tomato, salad, this was extremely tasty the main course was a lamb dish which everyone on our table of 8 thoroughly enjoyed. The meal finished with a strawberry cheesecake then coffee and cookies with hand made chocolates. A great raffle with the proceeds going to an extremely good cause. The live band entertainment was Sheffields premier band The Acoustic Angels anyone who has ever seen them will testify to how good they are you only had to look around the room and see people dancing everywhere. A wonderful night enjoyed by all (except 1 looking at the previous review)

There were 104 people on several tables but the conditions were very cramped and the waitress couldn't get behind some of the chairs on my by table, the temperature was very hot and humid. The starter of the meal was excellent consisting of smoked salmon but the lamb main course wasn't that thrilling with very few vegetables a strange potato dish and a soggy Yorkshire pudding, followed by a cheesecake which varied in portion size, at that point I decided to leave, not impressed so missed the entertainment. £45 for a mediocre meal. Wont be going back again.

Last night I attended a dinner and dance that I’d organised in partnership with Jamie at the Omega. There were 104 people who were served a 3 course meal followed by coffee and hand made chocolates and brownies. It was a resounding success! The food was tasty, plentiful and hot. The tables were beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and coloured serviettes. The music was fantastic. People were dancing in the aisles, by their tables as well as on the dance floor. Thank you to everyone involved!

The food was great, we had a chimichanga and a quesadilla with a side of cheesy wedges. All brilliant. Lots of meat in the dishes. Will definitely return!

Despite the change of location and the loss of its onlie begetter, the late David Baldwin, this place still shines brightly. The menu may be a little rickety but oh how well they do it - expertly judged scallops with a nut crust on a smear of potato puree, calves liver with ultra crisp pancetta, and an excellent, boozy orange and Cointreau panna cotta for our recent a la carte lunch. The only grouse - the water served is tepid. Ice and lemon please!

Just visited the Omega Restaurant. Fabulous meal. Well prepared, piping hot and very well presented. The atmosphere is great. The staff are extremely pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. The setting is lovely looking out over the cricket ground and sports area. Plenty of outdoor seating as well if you want it. I couldn't fault this place. Excellent. Will definitely be returning.
