The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Good atmosphere here and pleasant surroundings. All the food was excellent. Really great coffee, too! Will definitely be back!

I was very disappointed in the meal that both myself and friend had off of the dinner menu recently. Food very small in quantity and almost inedible. Chips were brittle and steak garnish almost nil. Side salad very small and overpriced. The meal was not good quality and very overpriced for what was on the plate. On another note the surroundings were lovely and staff very attentive.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! We ordered large cod and large chips. Had to ask Jenny (owners wife for a price of a proper sized fish). They are counters... l will tell you why... they count the chips, they count everything. The portion size was so small compared to other establishments. When we got got the chips home, they were awful... about 3 x scoops for a large mix bag (battered and regular). As for the cod. They left the skin on. Who leaves the skin on their fish these days... just lazy! The food was cold. I rang to complain spoke to Jenny (wife of Wayne, owner). Was told no one had complained before in over 65 years! I Don't believe you Jenny. After waiting over 30mins for the food. You could not offer us any solution for a spoilt meal. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS... THE FOOD WAS ABYSMAL, COLD, GREASY, SMALL PORTION

Found this place on booking.com for an overnight stay for a wedding in one of the adjacent villages. We contacted them to see if we could check in slightly earlier as the wedding started during the orginal check in time , response time was quick and there was no issue. There was a bit of a stress during to find a car parking space and a taxi to the wedding venue but they helped us with both finding a nearby car park and also a lift to the venue for a small charge which we were most greatful for. The room was clean , vintage decour and a beautiful view over the river. Besides the couple above us being very loud all night which is out of the hotels control we had a pleasent stay and would return.

Once again a post regarding lack of toilets. There are more than 10 seats so legally they should offer toilet facilities. We’d cycled several miles and while the food was tasty and generous the lack of toilets was impactful. The place is in such a prime position it really isn’t making the most of its business potential.

I stayed here one night I had no heating no hot water the food was burnt I had to get out of there I can out with the flu because of it. Do not visit this hotel

Basic, but perfectly acceptable, pub food in a boring corporate dining room. It will fill you up but it certainly won't excite to the palate.

Oopsie Daisy is a great little 'coffee shop/teashop' it is a unique bespoke venue with lovely choice of light snacks, cakes etc & great drinks choice. It is highly recommended

I use this costa drive through a lot, however when I go now I feel like the staff in the drive through are very unprofessional and I also feel very uncomfortable when waiting for my drink. The girls answers the ordering system in the drive through laughing and distracted to the point I had to retell them my order again at the window. There was no greeting or morning said, just talking to themselves or talking through the head sets to each other (as no one else was in the queue) They make you feel uncomfortable because you are unsure of what they are talking about, or even if they are talking about you with the looks they give each other.

VERY mediocre, nothing at all exciting/special. The place will NOT be missed after the CIty Centre South development, to be quite honest.

We called here for breakfast & on the last Friday in January wity my daughter & I of my grandson We had 2 full English breakfast ,Poached eggs on toast an extra sausage We had various coffees etc to drink including flat whites .food came out quite speedily and looked really appetizing All very tasty & cooked to, perfection Ideal place for bringing grandchildren here as play area adjacent and very popular Overall excellent

Vinimos al azar a tomar algo con mis amigos, sintiéndonos un poco aprensivos ya que es parte de un hotel. Pero tan pronto como llegamos al bar, el joven nos puso completamente a gusto y limpió cualquier mal presentimiento. Él era muy amable y nos sirvió con gran profesionalidad. La próxima vez, sin duda nos alojaremos aquí!

Entramos en el pub para un asado de domingo y no nos decepcionó! Increíble almuerzo, la comida era fresca con verduras de temporada y carne tierna. La mujer detrás de la barra no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros y el jefe Martin vino y habló con nosotros! Definitivamente volveré

Pensé en darle a este encantador pub de campo una oportunidad de comida... OMG ojalá nunca nos molestáramos. el entrante era una excusa viscosa demasiado frita para un langostino y la comida principal (se supone que es el vástago de cordero) era dura como una roca, demasiado cocida en una pila de puré instantáneo SMASH con una pila de puerros prácticamente cruda. salsa era como alquitrán negro y todo totalmente no comestible. se negó a pagar por la "comida" y dejó el pub hambriento y tuvo que cocinar cuando llegué a casa. totalmente arruinado nuestro día de las madres golosinas. permanecer BIEN CLARO!

I will start by saying that do not normally eat in the pubs attached to premier inns, the food is nearly always dry and horrible but tonight, well, tonight, it was completely different. Firstly the staff on the floor all very pleasant and helpful , well done to you all. Secondly, to the kitchen staff. The food was perfectly cooked and presented. I can say it was the best mixed grill I have ever had In a pub attached to a hotel. Dan, Craig and Tom, really well done lads. You did the chain proud this evening. I had plans for visiting Asian restaurants this week but you will probably see me again in Thyme before Friday. Well done to all the staff. Ps, the wins were also great. Thanks for a great meal.
