Went for breakfast as been before and enjoyed the afternoon teas here. Ordered the breakfast, really wish we hadn't. Sausage cooked but looked anaemic as did the toast. Eggs were greasy and hard. Scrambled eggs were a bit rubbery and werent really scrambled. Beans were microwaved to nuclear heat!! Mushrooms were spat out as disgusting, must be old ones! Coffee was hot however delux hot chocolate was luke warm Pancakes we're very nice. Such a shame as we're always on the look out for a good breakfast

So the food was lovely we opted for the delux afternoon tea for £16.99 each We ate some of the food and was disappointed we were not asked once if we needed anything or if we were happy considering I had just spent £100 on food We took one of the teas as a take out as one of our party could not make the day and they advised as we had not given them 24hrs notice we would still have to pay We asked at the end for a couple of boxes to out our cakes in that we had not eaten We were offered flimsy paper bags and a Foil takeaway dish. I even offered to buy a box and was firmly told they have no boxes Which surprised me as the one to take away was in a box Seem happy to take yiur money but not much else in way of politeness or customer service Disappointed

The food here is lovely… however outside of the food this place is lacking in warmth. We booked afternoon tea and on arrival there were two ladies behind the counter. Neither acknowledged us with a “good afternoon ladies, we’ll be with you in a minute “ or even just a smile. We waited and I passed over the vouchers and the lady explained with some irritation that we had deluxe vouchers and had only booked for standard. Not knowing the difference she said she could soon rectify this. Anyway she ushered us to the side room for booked teas and we sat down. There was one flimsy napkin each and the food was brought in. The sandwiches and cakes were nice. My friend asked about if there was a different tea available… there was but this is extra. The staff were busy and my friend needed something so went to the counter. Again, no eye contact and staff seem to be so busy they are a bit irritated by your presence. Perhaps they need to employ an extra person and then they could give a better experience. On exit heads down, no acknowledgement of hope you had a nice time or even a thank you.

I had a voucher for £20 for a present from my daughter and my panini and cappuccino came to £9.60 i was told i couldnt give the 30p so I still had £10 left to spend and that i would loose it off my voucher remainder as it had to be rounded up. I come every week without fail and love the food and staff but unfortunately now i will be finding somewhere else to go

Decided to go here for lunch today. First thing we noticed as we walked in was a weird smell, like something was off. Found a table easily, the cafe was only half full. Decided what we wanted and I went to order. There was 1 customer in front of me. After she had been served the lady taking orders Decided to have a bit of a chat with her colleague and then went to clean tables. The other lady behind the counter didn't make any attempt to serve. The lady behind me in the queue left, I gave it a few more minutes, after this I also decided to leave. Awful customer service and not one of the staff were welcoming, in fact I thought they were rude. When I saw the state of the kitchen I'm glad I decided to go elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Plenty more eating places up Merryhill with pleasant staff.

After receiving afternoon tea vouchers for my 50th birthday I was looking forward to having a lovely afternoon with a friend. We were seated to a separate area for afternoon tea. The first thing I noticed once we were settled was my knife was dirty so I asked for it to be replaced, I then noticed my fork was also dirty in-between the forks and again asked for it to be replaced. When the tea came the teapot had a large chip at the end of the spout and the milk jug had brown stains on the inside. Not wanting to complain again I said nothing. I did pre order vegetarian food a week before and also explained that my vegetarian friend was allergic to onions. Which I reminded the staff again before the food was served. When afternoon tea food was served, it also had a sausage roll and a cheese and onion quiche, all placed on the SAME plate and touching the sandwiches. Without any thought for cross contamination of food or my friends allergies, or that she is vegetarian. The waitress realised the mistake for the sausage roll and took it off the plate. Leaving behind the remainder of the food. I took the quiche off the plate and ate the sandwiches on each end to ensure my friend would not have eaten a sandwich near the food that we previously asked to be excluded. I would have thought if this happened elsewhere the whole plate would ha e been taken back and replaced with fresh food because of contamination, not just take the meat off. The salad was nice until we found a large lettuce stalk inside and handed it back to the waitress explaining we could not eat that. There were also two cakes and scones served with the afternoon tea, one of the cakes had jellybeans on the top of the frosting, to be honest I dare not ask if they were suitable for vegetarians incase i did not like the answer, so we took them off the cake and left them on the plate. This is by far worst afternoon tea i have ever experienced and would not recommend anyone else go there. The staff looked like they were going through the motions and did not seem happy there, very unapologetic. On the plus side the crisps and tea was nice.

This is a lovely little cafe inaide a cute little shop. The staff are friendly, the food is good but something just doesn’t quite work about this place. It is far too overcrowded, almost to the point of being dangerous (please reconsider where you store your high chairs - in the far corner behind a load of tables is not appropriate). The wait time on food is always long, even when it is not busy. I think it would be better if they just served coffee and cake as they really cannot keep up with the orders they have.

Visited today for Afternoon tea, 1 adult & 2 deluxe children's. Children can't eat pork so sandwiches were 3 cheese fingers & 1 jam, crisps,, bowl of cucumber, cakes, marshmallows, although I told them in advance that no pork was allowed for the children there's came with sausage rolls!!!. There was no popcorn and no selection of savouries as advertised and paid for. When I asked if the children could have some scones a lady appeared from out the back with an attitude that would turn milk sour, and basically said no, if you want them you can buy them. The children's squash came in a glass jug as opposed to the tea pot as advertised. This is not an Afternoon tea for children, just a stand filled with sugary goods. My selection of sandwiches came with a finger of bread that appeared empty of filling, on closer inspection it had a couple of flakes of tuna, the rest of my food was just ok, my coffee came out luke warm, when cream was added it has to be drank immediately. I had to ask twice for the free gifts for the children, the first time I asked I was once again met with an abrupt, cold, miserable, snappy attitude and she said she'd find out, she never returned, so I asked on my way out, I was then given 3 thin small pieces of plywood in the shape of a heart. I'd paid for this in advance otherwise I would have refused payment. It was supposee to have been a special day for one of the grandchildren's birthday week, but in no way was this made special, even the children 5 yr old and 8 yr old mentioned the snappy, appalling attitude of the staff. You may ask if I'd made a complaint whilst in the establishment, no, NO I didn't and the reason being was that it clearly would not have been taken seriously, and would have been met with an aggressive, stern response ( there was a few people who had to approach staff while I was there for things that had been missed off their order) the staff there clearly have no idea of Customer service and its plain to see that they have no love or enjoyment of their job role, they really shouldn't be working face to face with the public. Very poor place. TIP....... for anyone thinking of going, do NOT pay in advance

I had a traditional breakfast, my wife had a jacket potato which she said was excellent and as good as it gets. My breakfast had great bacon and the egg was perfect but the whole luke warm plate was covered in juice presumably from the tinned tomatoes which was a let down and the baked beans were prematurely cold. The ambience of the premises is good but could do with being a bit warmer. Value for money was good and the expresso coffee was excellent. We will be back for another breakfast but without the tinned tomatoes!

What a let down. I took my elderly friend here, thinking it would be cosy and content. As this is the look it gives, How wrong. The room temperature was cold, Food: I had an omelette, which was sloppy runny watery and just eurgh. Although the salad presentation was ok. We had a pot of tea, this was cheap weak tea, warm not hot. My friend had a toasted tea cake that then had to tie with the rock hard slab of butter. And I had to ask for strawberry jam as extra. We left it all. I didn’t have the energy of time to discuss. Refund. Just means I’m doing this review to say save your money. I do have to say the same lady who served me at the till and bought out our food was enthusiastic and helped me with the menu. She was only doing what she’s paid to do and I can’t complain about her, just the quality of food was definitely on a cheap scale. I try to support small businesses but the week before for the same price of £11:95, Costa had it hands down. Will not be returning or recommending that’s for sure

Visited with family for Afternoon tea. Paid for deluxe. We had a good amount of cakes and sandwiches as well as crisps, coleslaw and salad. All very well presented on lovely plates and stands. Staff were welcoming too. The decor was beautiful and relaxing. We were asked if we wanted any more drinks. We all had a little gift each which was lovely. A lovely afternoon as a birthday treat. Improvements for the future could be a toilet installed to wash hands after eating. A wet wipe would have been nice on the table to clean hands afterwards otherwise it's quite a walk around the centre to get to a toilet.

Visited for an Afternoon Tea gift. Unassuming & tucked away at the entrance to the centre, it's easy to miss. Absolutely lovely place, a little small & busy during our visit. Nothing could spoil the day however as the food & service were excellent. A nice variation on a standard run of the mill offering. Oopsy Daisie offers a unique setting & atmosphere and the food matches! Super quality, variety & the portion sizes are more than enough for even the largest appetite. A choice of tea was a good start (decaff, my preference). Sandwiches were really tasty & supported by the unexpected addition of crisps, salad & coleslaw. My personal favourite was the scone which was fresh, crumbly & man-sized! If I'm being really critical, a choice of jam would have been nice & there was only one cake (a choice from the counter would have been the icing on the top of what was otherwise a 5* offering). The Staff were busy but still very friendly, polite & more than attentive. A couple of tricky issues for them to deal with while we were there, both handled smoothly, efficiently & without any drama. 10/10 for customer service! They also do Breakfasts & a good selection of cakes & refreshments for the weary shopper. A much better option than the (overpriced & underwhelming) generic commercial outlets in the rest of the centre. Thank you to all at Oopsy Daisie for a really good afternoon. Recommended to everyone. Make sure you take the time to find it & enjoy! You will be sure to make it a regular stop..

Lovely decorated tea room however had no confidence in their service or knowledge of products or allergies. Had to point out that they did in fact stock oat milk after requesting an iced oat latte and being told they didn’t offer that (the oat milk was in the fridge right next to the till) requesting a slice of vegan cake to be asked ‘which one is the vegan cake’ and then having drinks brought to the table and the waitress not knowing which drink what the full fat milk latte and which was the oat milk latte meaning the drinks had to be made again. Fortunately I am just dairy intolerant and do not have a huge allergy but as a strict vegan I am worried after my visit for people that do visit with allergies as their staff do not seem to have any knowledge or consideration for free from products. A real shame and hope this is something they will look to improve!

Went in a group of 3 for my daughter’s birthday for deluxe afternoon tea. The shop has a beautiful decor of shabby chic but I would not recommend going for afternoon tea. We had really been looking forward to going but the quality of the food was awful. The finger sandwiches were very basic-we thought on one they forgot the filling then realised it was a sliver of grey tuna sludge. Large dry scones with little jam and clotted cream. Very very basic food and dry. Was expecting so much more and would suggest anyone considering having afternoon tea not to waste their money.

Oops you definitely need to be more focused. Toast & Coffee isn’t difficult. Nothing nicer that lovely toast & hot coffee. It became very difficult because I wanted the toast spread with best butter. It completely thrown the lady at the counter. It arrived & yes butter was used but unfortunately the butter didn’t reach the edges of the toast. It confused me that the butter was just centred around the middle of the toast. Anchor do a spreadable butter. It would solve your problem. Coffee was not very hot either. You are charging enough, so please show little more warmth & friendliness towards your customers. We are willing to spend our cash but want value for money nice food & good customer service.

I had a phone message of an apology but when I took it in again to be sorted their response was there would be no reimbursement as they are putting the problem right! So complete lack of acknowledgement that it took 4 trips to this shop ( waste of time and petrol) and staff who seem to rather chat to their colleagues more than focusing on making their products! The sandwiches I was dissapointed in, the quality was lovely but there just wasnt enough to go round. There was the equivalent of 4 small triangles, a few crisps and a very small serving of salad.

I have been looking forward to today for so long, it was my baby shower that myself and family had been organising for months. 24 of us excited for an afternoon of all tea, cake, fun and games in a lovely setting. Oopsy Daisies was the perfect location as they offer a baby showier afternoon tea menu.

On visiting today I was disappointed. We have been several times and it is one of our favourite places even having had baby shower events here for friends and family. The staff today weren't the usual faces we have began to know and the food wasn't to the usual standard. Granted it was very busy and seating was limited but it just didn't feel as warm and chic as usual. Staff appeared to be unsure about orders and when we asked about menu choices and over hearing others ask there were what seemed almost chaotic moments. Staff walked around looking for table numbers for up to ten minutes with hot and cold food as well as drinks. I ordered a jacket potato and a chocolate brownie with a pot of tea. The jacket and tea were fine but the brownie was stale and very dry. This is unusual as we've not had this before but we did feel disappointed with knowing how lovely it can be. Hopefully this was a one off.

Surroundings were lovely, very vintage and quaint but afternoon tea not great value for money. £12 per person so not too expensive but not great value either. For 7 people to share there were 2 plates of sandwiches (i was charged £4 for an extra ham sandwich) crisps, scones but only 5 cupcakes to share between 7. I was expecting 1 platter between 2 people but it wasn't presented like that. Not sure I would rush back.

Me and my friend came here for Afternoon tea as we had heard really good feedback on the Afternoon tea. I booked the deluxe package a couple of weeks before. Upon arrival at 12 (booking time) we had to wait quite some time in a queue before anyone noticed us, when we got to the till we were told we could sit At our table and someone would be over shortly with our food and drinks ... it took approx 25 mins (12:25) before anyone came to us which was a little disappointing however we didn't let this affect us too much as we could clearly see the place was getting very busy and not many staff on. Whilst waiting we had chance to take in our surroundings and loved the shop itself and found it very authentic however some things were a little pricey but in all honesty I was expecting this due to the type of shop it is.

Called in here for lunch for the first time today. A beautiful calm atmosphere with lots of nice touches. Staff were very helpful and friendly and there was a surprisingly large seating area. Ordered coffee, panini and a cupcake. All arrived exactly as ordered and nicely presented on vintage china. Everything was delicious. Didn't feel at all uncomfortable being a solo diner. Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend trying here if you are at Merry Hill and want something different to the fast food in Grand Central.

To be honest, we didn't actually go to the restaurant as we were too busy looking round the shop and oohing and ahhing and squeaking with glee. (We WERE on holiday!!). Fantabulous shop and the restaurant DID look very nice, but they had a raucous middle aged party in and this was the first shop we had entered in our little two night break in Brierley Hill AND we had a whole shopping mall to explore, first. Delightful place and lots of little trinkets not found everywhere, to discover! A must visit for anyone looking for an unexpected gift.

Lovely shop we go in there all the time. It's cheaper than the bigger branded coffee shops in merryhill. Where it's positioned by argos it's good for last stop before car park. The only thing is you have to plan to go to toilet before going for coffee as once there you have a little walk back for the toilets. Cakes look and taste great. Well worth money. Staff very helpful and they do nice gift vouchers for you to give to spend in shop.or cafe. You can purchase afternoon tea which I have to had myself but they do lots of packages eg for bridal showers and vintage teas all different prices.

What a wonderful surprise to come across this individually-run tea room amongst all the corporate giants at the Merry Hill shopping centre. I stopped by recently to have a light lunch of pate on toast which was served with a salad garnish and a pot of tea - all beautifully served on vintage bone china. The staff were so lovely and helpful, too. I'll definitely be eating here again on shopping trips. God bless you all.

We had pre-booked our table, which we normally do (having frequented this pub for the past 15 years!!) When we arrived we were told by the Manager, Michelle, that we had been moved to the next table along. We weren't happy about this, but sat down & noticed that the 'reserved table board ' had been moved along to where we were sat but still had the original reserved number on it. We decided to bot order 'fish🐟 & chips 🍟 only to be told by the Manager, Michelle that the fish had all gone. Ironically enough the 4 people sat at our original reserved table all had 'fish & chips 🍟 '. This certainly 'rubbed salt 🧂 in the wound'. We then decided to leave without ordering food. The Manager, Michelle came over & said 'they are a party of four, whereas there's only 2 of you!!!!' We both felt very 'let down ' and disillusioned about this. We were frankly disgusted!!!!
