Like most spoons this is very similar clean and tidy

Awful. Ordered a breakfast sarnie and an eggs benedict at the till. Sarnie came, but no sign of eggs benedict. Turned out it was forgotten and not ordered. Mistakes happen, so asked for it to be made. But it was now "past breakfast" so we could not order the dish we originally ordered!!! I was not expecting a free meal, but I was expecting to order the meal we originally wanted but couldn't due to a staff mistake. Shame.

As with most wetherspoons food is decent enough, competitive prices as is the alcohol. Setting in the old cinema has a nice feel. Nice to see pictures up to a nod to the Clifton cinema. We all had pizza which was tasty enough and served promptly even though they were caught out with being very busy due to a lot of us due to the theatre.

Fantastic korean bowl of chicken with chips! Really enjoyed it, hope it remains available on the menu. Service was quick and the place was reasonably quiet around lunchtime.

Came in for their new festive cocktail which I had been looking forward to all day and although advertised on the bar they weren't able to make it as no espresso I am gutted PS they have espresso in the coffee machine

Whether it be morning, lunchtime or evening. Breakfast, coffee with school mom's, lunch or drinks of an evening this place is welcoming, the staff work hard and the atmosphere is fantastic, the regulars are friendly and service is excellent. My daughter Frankie loves the staff Sarah is her bestie 💕 Keep doing a fantastic job 👏 👍

Staff super friendly and attentive. Quick service, food arrived hot and looking very tasty. Manager Tom was very polite, friendly and helpful, had a lot of guest ale recommendations too.

Wetherspoons food has gone down and up in price! Use to be nice , only thing that is worth eating and price is the breakfasts

Beer festival is on. Quality ales for £1.79, can't beat it. Parking is a bit of a problem, very few spaces and there is a charge, if you can't find street parking.

Pub was busy without being overly for a Thursday afternoon. Nice and tidy establishment set on multiple levels. Super quick service and food as expected, nice and warm and good value for money. Small little beer garden to the side and chargeable car park which can be redeemed at the bar

Worst Tuna panini ever, hardly any cheese and tuna in panini then I asked for more cheese when served had it taken away. It was received but bread was like eating cardboard

Had a lovely meal tonight before going to the Dormston Theatre. Speedy service. Friendly staff, great food. Loved my BBQ chicken. Also very reasonable.

This is becoming a regular occurrence, cold food.. it doesn't help when the plate is stone cold. Had leave most of it as it wasn't fit to eat. We also had the added bonus of having breath cigarette smoke in as the side door was left adjar and people were smoking next to it.

The food was all wrong (as usual) cold and nasty. Forgot to add things I had paid extra for. Staff were very rude (the ones on Saturday 20th July) other staff are lovely. The bull dog chewing a wasp told me I was barred. I wouldn't want to eat the horrible frozen food anyway, only went in there because my grandson likes the pancakes. I have spent a lot of money in there over the past 17 months but I won't be spending anymore, I will be going to Marley's next door where the staff are lovely and the food is FRESH

The service and atmosphere is excellent but on the day i visited, the food wasnt very nice. The food was burnt and tasted odd.

Lovely local, hit and miss on meals depending on quality of what has been delivered, but never on kitchen staffs abilities! Well kept drinks, much improved since Rachel has taken over! Even spirit bar is more organised! Door staff are friendly and personable, and not a bad word to say about the wonderful staff who have learned our names and are always a pleasure to see! Thank you so much for making this pub feel like home from home. Xxx

The Clifton is an old cinema building that has been transformed into a comfortable, relaxed environment. The beer is very good and also the food is what you would expect But I must say we have been to lots of witherspoon pubs all over the uk but here the staff are always on hand and the pub is kept very tidy A very warm and nice place

The food at this pub is simply good, especially the traditional breakfast—it's a must-try! Huge thanks to the food management for their great customer service that keep us coming back for more. We'll definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and family!

It's a decent spoons.... Not much else to say on that score. Food is the same. Beer is the same. Just another spoons..... which isn't a bad thing.

1 of the best Weatherspoons pubs have been in.myself and friends were drinking Oakham Citra which was in excellent condition.a well run pub.

Had a family Christmas get together today. The staff, service, food and atmosphere were second to none. Thank you Rachel, River and the whole team for making it so special. Nothing is ever too much trouble and no matter how busy you all are you’ve all got a smile and make people feel welcome.

Dropped into the Clifton for a quick breakfast. Food arrived very quickly and tasted great. Staff were also friendly and polite. For the price point, you can't beat it.

Busy spoons always great beer and I would assume from the amount of meals sold a decent place to eat..can't score food as I haven't tried it

Went for a breakfast with friends.. Food was bland. Service was just the minimum required, plonked on the table. For the price an independent cafe would always outshine a corporate pub like spoons where it is just a transaction. Money in, microwaved, frozen food out. Always my last choice.

Another of my favourite Wetherspoons - I often just drop in for a coffee.

Half cooked hash browns no mushroom as stated on menu and when food was served half my wife's breakfast ended up on the table

Been going here for food and drink for over 25 years. Recently the food hasn’t been a great standard. Drinks still a decent choice and great value as with all J D Wetherspoons. But the food has been cold, overcooked or just tasteless. The poppadoms were swimming in grease. Since the new menu came out the food hasn’t been the same standard. It’s cheap but people should stick to drinks here.

There is a good range of real ale but it’s a 50/50 chance as to whether you get a nice pint. Today I didn’t.

Quick bite to eat on Saturday afternoon very fast service and not too hard to get a seat for 3 of us. Good price 👍

Loved it, easy going atmosphere, great price food and drinks

Sticky tables full of glasses, sub-par food, drinks served in dirty glasses. I love cheap and cheerful but todays experience has put me off, staff friendly enough but it’s just too grim in there sometimes. Cheese panini came out with cheese still like a slice and barely warm, so clearly not grilled for long enough. Scampi came out dark brown so either overcooked or the fryer oil is in need of changing. Too much ice in glasses (but glasses filthy anyway so drank straight from bottles). Just missing the mark at every opportunity. Shame really as it’s a nice venue. To be fair it was busy but a bit of extra care would make all the difference.

Awful, staff very rude. Manager abusive. Evidence of drug dealing taking place and staff turning a blind eye.

Staff judgemental. Service was poor. The food took ages. The Toilets were dirty. Customers were vaping inside. Overall a bad experience.

Recommended good food right prices

Came in for a steak and a curry. Food was excellent, staff very polite and friendly and tables clean and very tidy pub. Have been several times and always enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

Drinks are good at night but the breakfast isn't great. Came out cold and just wasn't enjoyable, got the staff to blast it in the kitchen to heat it up but still wasn't the best however they gave a full refund and were helpful. Food did come quick and staff were nice. I've eaten here previously and it's been fine it was just this time really

Popped in for lunch with hubby. Busy place polite staff, ordered two curries both cold they were sent back to be reheated however returned to us not much warmer. It seemed as though everything was just thrown on the plate or we had someone's left overs. Second time we have had rubbish food from wetherspoons It might be cheap and cheerful but for £23 for cold food we won't be going back. On the positive drinks ok staff polite.

Family visiting, one in a wheelchair : When you get through the front doors you are met with a wall of tables, it's pretty busy, and impossible to navigate around in a wheelchair without having to get people to move. So not a great start. We found a table where I'd be least in the way as possible. There are no accessible tables at all. And spacing of tables is so tight. I ended up eating at an awkward angle. The service at the bar and the table was great. The staff were all extremely nice and good. Food was great. We had a kids pizza which was delicious. A hunters chicken which was moist and tasty, and a large mixed grille with peppercorn sauce, the steak was cooked perfectly and we couldn't fault our food at all. Access to the 'accessible' toilet is appalling. The door (one of two) is sandwiched between two tables. When you get near enough to use the radar key, you the have to reverse back whilst holding the door to get it open (try that in a chair please staff)... Then, the door has to be swung completely over to the left to open wide enough for a chair. Much to the discomfort of the person at that two seater table. As you get through to the second set of doors you then have to turn around, grab the first door and reverse back to close it (or leave it resting against the table with people say there). Getting back out was equally difficult. It's not really good enough. It's awkward, embarrassing and uncomfortable. For a big chain it's really poor. I'd recommend this place for cheap and fairly decent food. And for the service. But if you need accessible facilities I'd suggest going elsewhere. The access issues really take the shine off the experience.

Had a curry taste great. But within 30 mins was sat on the Toilet, my body way of saying was sumin wrong with it. Had many currys before no proms.

After visiting their cinema/pub in Stafford we decided to give the Clifton in Sedgley a go. Disappointing. Steak and chips were fine but from a "Specials" board with none of the usual trimmings and then paid extra for the Jack Daniels sauce. Male staff member not particularly interested when I queried it.
