I will start by saying that do not normally eat in the pubs attached to premier inns, the food is nearly always dry and horrible but tonight, well, tonight, it was completely different. Firstly the staff on the floor all very pleasant and helpful , well done to you all. Secondly, to the kitchen staff. The food was perfectly cooked and presented. I can say it was the best mixed grill I have ever had In a pub attached to a hotel. Dan, Craig and Tom, really well done lads. You did the chain proud this evening. I had plans for visiting Asian restaurants this week but you will probably see me again in Thyme before Friday. Well done to all the staff. Ps, the wins were also great. Thanks for a great meal.

On Sunday morning went for breakfast and felt super sorry for the waitress Tracy as she was running round dealing with everything! As I heard the manager I think named Jack was nowhere to be seen and Tracy and a young girl were rushed off there feet and I didn’t see him once! I think that’s really poor management to have left these 2 ladies dealing with everything including clearing tables, serving customers and still remaining with a smile on there face. I would stay here again despite the poor management the majority of staff were super helpful. I think you may need to review who is running the place at times otherwise worse problems will occur and could put people in danger.

A limited menu of burgers, pizza, chicken wings, and a few more items. We sat down at 7pm in a dusty restaurant, with sticky tables, and cobwebs everywhere! We were told that almost half the items on the 'limited menu' were not available. The food was mediocre - rubbery gammon, poorly cooked fish n chips that was shameful. The service was awful, polite enough, but the staff seemed unorganised, ill experienced and poorly trained - it was like watching the 3 stooges. Our drinks arrived half way through our meal despite having chased them for 30 minutes. Salt and Pepper shakers were on a few tables, so we had to end our shaker to another table - not that there was any covid adherence any way.

Food wasn't great. It was expensive considering the quality of the food. We are here due to staying at the hotel and getting a meal deal. Nachos. 7 quid and you got hardly any tortilla chips. Joke. Burger was ok. Nothing special. Not worth the price. If you can be bothered to go elsewhere if you are staying in the hotel I would.

Staff are brilliant. Visited on their 1st and 2nd day of opening and they were evidently glad to be back serving customers. Yes, the menu is limited but what is available is good. Thank you to all of the staff in the restaurant for being professional, helpful and friendly especially as they were probably all feeling a little more unsettled in their roles. In a changed environment the staff handled the Covid changes excellently -Brilliant! Might even have the leek and potato soup next time xxxx

We had a one night stay at the Premier inn on 30th December. The attached restaurant was offering a meal deal with breakfast the following morning so decided to eat there rather than go into town. We had a very good meal all cooked well - hot and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast the next day was plentiful and freshly cooked. I would eat here again if I was saying in the Premier Inn.

Stayed at the Premier Inn and paid in advance for the meal deal which was 2 courses and a drink followed by breakfast the next day....checked in 7.10pm to be told there might be no tables!!! Luckily they had put one aside but we then waited about 40mins for our food...lots not available so I ordered theTandoori Platter (no Bhakti) which was so bad I couldn’t eat it....I complained and was offered nothing in return....then I ordered dessert again with items not available only to be told 5 mins after ordering...if I stayed again I wouldn’t eat here if you paid me!!

Had an excellent stay here 3 years ago. Reserved a table for dinner and the staff seemed under pressure. No bar staff and only two professional and hardworking waitresses dealing with an already busy restaurant. Most diners seemed to appreciate this and make allowances but criticism from one individual reduced one waitress to tears. They were in an untenable position and management (wherever they were) were entirely responsible.

We were staying in Hotel so pre-booked the meal-deal. We were seated quickly, but waited and waited for our drinks which we had to remind the waitress about. The drinks then came quickly (we could see them sitting on the Bar). We waited a long time for our starters, but didn't mind too much once we had our drinks. Our meals were fine, but I was slightly disappointed when we'd finished as could not have a cappuccino coffee as they were cleaning the machines although the restaurant was still half full. Breakfast was fine. Plenty of choice and it was all hot and replenished frequently.

My evening here was great, the food was exceptional, but, I do think that, the fact I put my cutlery down on my starter and within literally seconds my plate was whipped away and my main put before me, generally ppl like some time between courses, I like my food hot so was forced to eat it straight away. Staff need training to ask if you’re ready for the next course instead of cattle herding. Restaurant was not busy. Hence the mark down.

We had a meal here after a long day. One of us had the chicken makhani curry which was adequate and well presented. I had the halloumi salad. Now I am not a big eater at all but this was tiny and definitely not enough to be served as a main course. It consists of 4 thin slices of halloumi cut less than 2 mm and a pile of slightly wilting salad leaves and tomatoes. Poor effort Premier inn. I complained to the staff but was still charged full price. Humph. Was worth £5. Not nearly £10.

Seated quickly. The ‘while you order’ cheese/olives and garlic bread took 40 minutes to arrive, the starter another 20 minutes after that. But then the main arrived only 1 minutes after the starters were cleared. It was all a bit inconsistent and played havoc with our appetites. No one asked if we wanted more drinks during the whole service. No one apologised for the delays either. Food average, chicken over cooked, rice stale on the edges like it had been sat under a light for too long. Overall a pretty poor experience.

My wife and I visited Warwick on business and stayed at the Premier Inn. We decided to give the attached restaurant a try and were pleasantly surprised. A warm welcome from staff and we were seated straight away. Drinks ordered and delivered in double quick time. We ordered prawn cocktail for starters and Lamb Henry for the main mean. Both starter and mains were delivered in good time and both were delicious and well prepared. Prices were very reasonable. A very enjoyable experience all round which set us up well for our business the next day. Well done.

We ate here the 2 nights we stayed in the attached Premier Inn. We had spotted (on Trip Advisor) the need to pre-book tables for evening meal so ‘phoned the hotel and received an email confirming the booked times. However, when we checked in there was no record of our restaurant bookings - friendly lady on check-in desk managed to book the tables for us (luckily we were checking in early afternoon!). When we turned up at the booked time we were seated immediately and drink order taken promptly - I could see the bar from my seat and our drinks were sat on the bar for at least 10 minutes before being delivered to our table. We then ordered food, expecting it to arrive fairly shortly, but we had been seated for 50 minutes before getting our starters! Having said that, when the food finally arrived it was ok, although my husband’s chicken wings were almost cold. Main courses were good, with the steaks being tasty and cooked exactly as we had asked. On our second evening there were different staff on duty and the service was much better. The breakfast was excellent (we had chosen the good value meal deal), with plenty of choice in both the full and continental options, but (as has been mentioned elsewhere) the fried eggs had obviously been sitting around being kept warm as, even although the tray of eggs was brought out of the kitchen just as I arrived at the buffet, they were rubbery. On the second morning I ordered a poached egg which was freshly cooked and delicious. On the whole, though, we enjoyed our meals and found them good value.

I visited Thyme during the week for an evening meal alone. Upon check-in of the hotel I was advised to book a table and I am very glad I did. I arrived and was seated after about 5 minutes of standing watching two workers have a talk and a giggle while keep glancing over at me as I waited. I ordered the mix grill which was good but I expected a much bigger portion for a mix grill but non the less it tasted good. I also ordered at pepper corn sauce that was very nice and had a strong taste to it. Overall the food was good but I would have preferred a larger portion when ordering a mix grill and paying more than the other standard meals.

It's ok, you get what what you pay for, our meal was perfectly acceptable for the price, its not the Hilton, you're not paying for high end dining and you won't get it, we all managed to find something on the menu, the staff we very pleasant, service didn't take too long, in fact the food pleasantly surprised me. The breakfast was exactly what you would expect, the only things which I can pull them up on is: (1) cold plates? My personal bug bear and (2)the cheese board I had for second course was so cold from the fridge I had to squirrel it away upstairs to eat it a hour later when it had got to a suitable temperature. So? Clean rooms, nice staff, good price and you probably wont get food poisoning. Winner winner Chicken dinner (literally)

I arrived 20:55 after a long day of travel and asked the barman if they were still doing food, he said he was not sure and vanished in to the kitchen for a while, he returned and said the bar was not surving food but if I would come round to the restaurant (the over side of a pillar I was stood next too) he could serve me there. So I walked round and the first thing he said was the restaurant was fill would I mind eating in the bar.... So I ordered a Gammon steak and walked back to the bar to find a seat, slightly pissed off to see a couple being seated in the restaurant minutes later. Soon the waitress came out shouting "Mixed grill, mixed grill" she did a couple of laps and then vanished into the kitchen to returned to my table and tell me I had ordered mix grill and asked why I hadn't put my hand up. I was about to argue but noticed she was carrying a gammon steak, when I pointed this out to her she said " that will teach me for not looking at the plate"! I don't expect much from restaurant staff but I would like them to check the plates of food before carrying them out. The steak was lovely so the story had a happy ending after all.

This review relates solely to the restaurant. The food was generally quite poor. Meals were serv d with four large chunks of sweet corn on the cob and no other vegetables apart from a tomato garnish. Quite how you are supposed to eat this with a knife and fork is anyone's guess. The whole point of corn on the cob is that you eat it from skewers os specially designed picks. The hunters chicken had almost no sauce. Portions were generally on the small side . We noted that Plate after plate was being collected from tables with sweet corn untouched. Overpriced for what it was.

You won't find fine dining, nor skilled service, but you will be looked after by enthusiastic staff, and have a menu that is reasonably priced, especially if you look to have the 'meal deal', which includes a two course meal, drink and breakfast the following morning. The breakfast self service is the most improved aspect of the Premier Inn brand, and is very adequate, with nice touches such as the dried fruit mix, and fresh fruit bowl: the next improvement should be to look at better bread options. Our main courses were well cooked, served by the chef himself, and the only criticism was that the was no horseradish sauce to complement the mixed grill steak.Wines and other drinks are reasonably priced. However this week I felt that due to the number of guests and the Euro's being on things were a bit rushed, no sooner had I finished my main course I was ask if I required a desert and or coffee, when I declined the offer I was informed my bill had been settled as its on a company account and made to feel I needed to vacate the table where normally I am left to read a couple of chapter of my book. This is the restaurant situated within the Warwick Premier Inn. I made my table booking over the phone after reading previous reviews. I could not get in contact with the Warwick Premier Inn so contacted the main Premier Inn helpline and was assured that my table was booked for 6pm and my call was being recorded. When we arrived however I was told that there was not a table booked. The man at the main desk did manage to squeeze our party of four in.At 6pm when the restaurant opened you are then standing in a long queue waiting to be seated at tables. The lady doing this kept disappearing to take drinks orders. When we were finally seated we were explained the menu and about upgrading to meal deal and told the names of our servers. By 6.30 we had not even been asked for our drink order. We watched the waiting staff running around like headless chickens with no clue. The service was erratic to say the least with some tables being served immediately and other parties waiting an exceptionally long time. A table next to us who was probably seated more than half an hour after us were offered my children's dinners which were then taken away before being returned to us and they also got offered their dessert menus first? The food when it arrived was delicious. The tempura prawns and duck parcels very good and steak cooked to my liking. My daughter's starter of dough sticks was supposed to be accompanied by three dips and only had barbeque sauce which I had to ask to change. We ended up being in the restaurant from 6 - 9 and were offered free drinks by the Manager for the hastle. All in all this restaurant is woefully in need of some staff training and customer service skills. If one member of staff seats customers they should acknowledge others waiting with a smile and I will be with you in a moment not just run off tearing off till receipts and taking drinks orders. Then the other waitresses should come to the table to take a drinks order and introduce themselves. It is such a shame that they cannot get this service right as it is a fairly small restaurant with excellent food. The following night we did not eat here as we did not fancy the long wait with two hungry children but instead ordered a sharing platter to our room.

I have no idea where to begin with how great this place is. I was sent up Warwickshire for work commitments for a month and we stumbled across this little gem in warwick, this is the best food in the area hands down, the service is impeccable and staff are always happy to greet and make you feel comfortable, the food is amazing to the point where within my whole month stay in warwick, I was eating here every single day. You can tell the staff and chefs really care about there customers and I highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to warwick, I certainly will be eating here again when I return. Ryan served us every single day without fail he made us feel very comfortable and would always get us a table as soon as we walked in from a hard shift at work along with pints and menus, his service was brilliant and he is a massive credit to the racehorse!! we were really well looked after and this is why this place deserves a massive 5 stars, I just wish this place was closer to home as this would 100% be my local!! Honestly all the staff in the racehorse keep up the good service!! And I cannot wait to work in the area again and have some more amazing food.

Never had a problem, always good service. This was true with the owners at that point. I went in a few months ago, I guessed by the fact that there were quite a few people waiting for food that it was under new management. The wait was about 10 minutes, I think it was a Friday and they were completely unprepared, disorganised and were not communicating with each other like a team should. When one customer finally got his food he said as he was leaving "You've just lost a customer." Subsequent visits, they seemed a little better. Tonight, it was not busy at all. I ordered my food and paid. The dude went back to finishing another customer's order who arrived to pick up about a minute after I did. The customer got her order and left. I expected him to start mine, nope, he grabbed a skewer with meat on out of the thing with the holes and went in to the kitchen and returned with it in a bowl. While this was going on his colleague returned from a delivery and proceeded to grab her drink and something to eat, there was a little bit of conversation, I'm guessing about what he was doing and what I was waiting for. She then asked me did I want sauce and salad on burger? To which I said yes. I had to remind her about the Cheese and she forgot to offer me Salt and Vinegar. But then again so did I. Soon after I got my order and left. I was there for about ten minutes. The dude looked like he was in no hurry at all. He looked over at me at one point I guess to make sure I was still there, and did say it would be another few minutes. They need to be faster, be better organised and prioritise better. Deal with the customers in the shop first, they're your main priority, your bread and butter then deal with the delivery orders. In the time I took them to complete my order a snail could've successfully made it across the road.
