The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Even though the app booking had not been received. They were able to accommodate the five of us. They helped us choose our main course with suggestions. One of our party wanted an individual meal that wasn’t on the menu and they were able to accommodate this with these finished with some lovely lemon cello and enjoy the meal immensely.

Great beers and great staff, nice and warm and looking forward to the mulled wine again! Liv’s my favourite, and Jake and Lily and Ann.🤓😂

Room was rotten. 2 thin pillows on a double bed and when asked for another was told no. Was told if wanted tea and coffee had to go into the restaurant but didn't fancy that when the pub was full of drunks till late. Would of been better with kettle etc in the room. The main doors to the actual bar area wasn't open till 8am so couldn't get a cuppa untill then anyway.

Very disappointing. We had Sunday dinner, the beef was rare , it hadn’t been cooked ,look's like it had been just thawed out . It was almost nauseating. We also waited over an hour for our food. We’ve had some really good meals here but suffice to say won’t be returning.

Ok function room but a bit dated needs a make over

We didn’t book till the day but what a treat 😊 I had Roast lamb with a stunning cauliflower cheese .Lisa had Nut Roast which got definite seal of approval . However the star of the show was my GF sticky toffee pudding with custard . This has to be the best dessert I have ever had ..absolutely stunning . Lisa had apple crumble but to be honest I was too engrossed in mine to ask ( only joking she loved it ) . The young front of house team were Perfect , a real credit to themselves 😊 Thank you we will be back soon 👍

We were staying in the next village we ate and drank at the pub on 2 evenings.Varied menu food presented well and was very flavoursome.Sunday roast nice especially the sirloin and large Yorkshire pudding.Staff very friendly made us feel welcome.

My wife made the reservation at the Ferry the day before our "date night" as a belated anniversary meal. As we worked our way down "Kissing Tree Lane" and turned right at the end parked up across the road. Walking across the car park, a gent, who turned out to be "chef" asked us if we'd arrived for the reservation! All good Entering the quaint clean chic interior, greeted by smiling pleasant bar staff, the bar having 4 live ales, I opted for Directors, as I've not had that in a while, my lady wife had a Tia Maria with coke, my wife chose a prawn starter with sweet and sour sauce, I had the breaded camembert with warm cranberry dip, both served quickly and nicely, we ate and enjoyed our starters, presently, our patience was rewarded with salmon fillet with cous cous, new potatoes and glazed tomatoes arriving with my blue rump steak with some lovely chunky chips and some mushrooms in a divine sauce in the waitresses other hand, went down an absolute storm, truly delicious! After our meal, we were formally introduced to LeAnne and Dave, mine hosts, both very amiable characters, sharing jokes etc. I was very happy with our experience, and not only left a tip but bought Leanne , Dave and the waitress a drink of their choice. Our thanks again, Leanne and team!

Very friendly bar staff! Dog friendly too! Great beer choice from Black Country ales! We ate here with food being decent pub grub. I had steak which was fine but would suggest a better quality peppercorn sauce as this was pretty insipid! But all in all enjoyed our visit and would return!

Good location with a good sized car park. Perfectly ok room However, a very peculiar ‘herbal plant’ smell through the corridors….
