Lovely place to have a drink in the sun☀️. We ordered a pork tomahawk and the sweet chilli chicken, which were both absolutely amazing. Thank you to the staff, they were very attentive and welcoming.

Not a family friendly pub! No warm welcome given! Made to feel like are custom was not wanted! It was one of the quieter times Iv been in the sharmens where we frequent quite often as a group. So we find are treatment shocking. We didn’t book but there was plenty of tables so we set up in the corner. When we ordered food we were told we should have booked and that there would be a long wait. We didn’t mind. But staff were really rude about it. They continued to remind us kids had to be out by 9 which we no and respect. We were a large group and we did have children with us who I might add were very well behaved who behaved in the same manner as every other child in the place. Played on the machines sat at table on there phones played darts and the older teens brought them outside to run about on the grass causing not a single oz of harm to anyone or them selves . But due to a complaint by a very miserable table of older people. Staff approached us like we committed a crime. We were laughing and joking and having the usual good time u have in a pub. The lady from staff that approached us approached all guns blazing and rudely. They cut us off at the bar to force us to leave. I’d kindly ask that the cctv be watched back as we literally didn’t do anything wrong to be treated so disgustingly all because one miserable sod made a complaint because a bunch of moms and dads were out having food and few drinks with there families. It’s a family friendly pub supposedly so I don’t understand what was so wrong??!!?!? Honestly shocked at are treatment. Staff are clearly not trained to deal with issues that arise without having a bad attitude.

Lovely visit and super cheap with all the deals. The only downside was the football was on so loud we couldn’t actually hear each other. Staff are fab. Thanks

Always a great place to eat with a good variety of food on offer from the menu including deals during the week. Yesterday was no exception. We were served by Harry who was courteous and engaging whilst bringing the food and our drinks to the table. He is a credit to the staff and the pub

A very pleasant evening with friends, we ordered food and drinks , we were served by harry at the bar. We had a little problem with some of the food which was quickly and efficiently sorted for us by harry who was extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to remedy the problem. We will be returning.

Lovely place for casual dining with friends, Harry looked after us very well, he was very friendly and went out of his way to check what was available.

Excellent food, very good atmosphere, very friendly staff especially Liam on the bar. He made us feel very welcome and he was very informative as I have an allergy saying what we can and can’t have. Very chatty and making sure we had everything we needed. 1000% would recommend this place.

After complaining about food on my last visit I received 25% off. I came on Friday 11th with 4 friends. We all enjoyed our meals this time. I had scampi, friends had chicken and mushroom pie, lay it on chuck, fish and chips, veggie sausage and mash and a Greek wrap...no complaints from any of us. Nobody had sizzler meals so I can't comment on whether they have improved.

Stopped of here on the way home from birmingham to Coventry. Was very surprised how quick the food came out and how good it was for the price I had the gyros and my partner had the sirloin. Both were lovely and steak was cooked exactly how my partner wanted it. The chef working think their name was Ben so props to him on the food. Good place to go if you want decent food for affordable money. Will go again if we are in the area.

We went with friends who had used this pub before and they told us about their good experience. As it happened, the girl who served us was Jess and the friends said that she had served them before and what a pleasant and helpful girl she was. She was brilliant and served the drinks with a smile and helped us select our food. Will definitely go there again

I came back today with 5 friends despite the disappointment of our last meals. I was due a free drink from the app but it wouldn't work when various members of staff tried it so i never got it. I couldn't bring myself to have another mixed grill after the last one I had was so disappointing. I had scampi and chips instead. The scampi tasted like it was fried in old oil and the chips were undercooked and hard so were the peas. My friend said his chips were the same but enjoyed the fish. Another friend had a greek chicken wrap dish and said it was lovely. My veggie friend struggled to find anything on the menu she could eat so had a salad and chips. Having eaten here for 15 plus years it's a shame. As I said on my last review..portions are smaller and quality is not as good as it used to be. I have given numerous 5 star reviews in the past but I have to be honest when things aren't so good

Last night was the worst meal we have had here. One meal arrived burned and another wirhout the chips. Very disappointing

We visited on a weekday evening and it wasn’t hugely busy. The food is reasonably priced with good portions. The staff couldn’t do more for you. You had to order at the bar, and they were very knowledgable. The waiter was super friendly too. We will definitely come back! Tip: Dont forget to put your number plate in on arrival

We use this pub often and its okay but has 2 ongoing issues that the staff just don't seem to care about:- 1. They make up closing time on a whim - last night we were refuse service at 10.40. I could live with that if last orders were called or flashed as they used to be but it never happens! The website clearly states 11 pm closing. 2. The craft beers are never available! Last night 4 of the 5 were off and this is a daily occurrence. Are the staff incapable of keeping them or don't they order enough, its barely worth offering them! As an aside the tables are always dirty with little effort made to clean them once people have eaten & left - its a case of do it yourself!

Very friendly professional staff who are always helpful. The food is good value for money especially if you download their app where You get rewarded for loyalty with generous discounts. The pub is welcoming and clean. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

I love the Sharmans great atmosphere, Nick does a fantastic job with his team to make a great family atmosphere. It's my local pub for the football we all have a great laugh whichever team we support. I recommend this pub for families because it's so friendly, get down to the Sharmans Cross for a great beer in Solihull.

Came here for the pub quiz with the family, brilliant atmosphere and was really fun. Great service from Hayley who was on the bar all evening, a polite lovely girl and a great asset to the pub! We don’t come here often as we aren’t local, however would definitely recommend, especially on a Tuesday as the quiz was brilliant. Food was excellent, perfect pub grub.

Food was ok but table was very sticky and 2 tables were cleared while there neither wiped down, the cleaning of covid days is well over.

We've lived near the sharmans for 20+ years. It's a great community hub, having young children who are now of drinking age it was always a convenient stop, to meet up with friends. Historically it was always a bit hit and miss on the general standard of food, drink and atmosphere. However, since nick and the new team took over and a much needed make over / renovation was carried out, the place is just amazing. Not had a bad meal, a real sense of a good old community pub, Maddie and all the bar staff are always friendly and helpful, In one instance we had a last minute request for a table of 12, Liam the supervisor went above and beyond to clean tables and arrange an area for us to dine in. love calling in at all hours of the day, Would highly recommend for a cheeky pint, night out or a good value high quality meal.

A girl named Jess was very rude to me and did not serve me when I patiently waited and kindly asked if I was next, the cheeky girl gave me a side eye and served the person next to me and then walked off the bar after telling me I was next. She then told me I was being rude when I wasn’t she was very sarcastic and I would hate to have someone like that work in my pub. She needs to learn some manners and how to work behind a bar she is a very disrespectful young lady and very mouthy only serves the young boys that catches her attention I will not be coming back here and will mention to my friends and colleagues how this young lady treated me she puts a bad reputation on the pub and has clearly been raised wrong… picking young lads to flirt with instead of the customers patiently waiting!!!
