Even though the app booking had not been received. They were able to accommodate the five of us. They helped us choose our main course with suggestions. One of our party wanted an individual meal that wasn’t on the menu and they were able to accommodate this with these finished with some lovely lemon cello and enjoy the meal immensely.

Terrible booking system. Booked online for 2:15 Mothers Day, get called from the restaurant asking us to pre order and pay a deposit, which we did. Once this was done they tried pushing our booking back as much as possible. We didn’t want to but ended up feeling like we had to so agreed to change to 3pm. Then they tried to move our table outside despite it being early March and one of the guests being 87. And they just kept saying how busy they were. That’s not our problem, they shouldn’t have took the booking if they couldn’t cope with it. The day before we came we received a reminder text of the table being booked for 2:15 so we had to ring up again to check what time the table was now for and were told 3pm. When we arrived there were people in front of us who had not got the message about pre ordering or paying a deposit and were told they had cancelled their reservation as a result. The guy was really rude telling them how it was their fault because he left a message and no one had called them back and the family were then worried they would have nowhere to eat as everywhere else would obviously be booked at that point. This whole process was not clear through the booking system and we were not aware either until we got the call ourselves. We were then told to which table to sit on, no one came over and it took 20 minutes until we even got a drink. On the set menu it said a free glass of fizz to all the Mums, but this was never offered to us (there were three mums in our group). The starters were tight on portions considering it wasn’t cheap. The mains were fine and the desert was nice. Also, our kids were charged the half price set menu (which was the kids option) even though they only had a main and desert, and not a starter. So there was no reduction in cost for them even though they had not asked us if they wanted a starter. They then brought out the kids mains the same time as they adult starters. Service was really slow, and plates were left on the table for a long time after we finished. 10% service charge was put on the bill, which I thought was a joke as we barely had any service while we were there. I would have gave feedback on the day if anyone at any point had asked how things were, but they didn’t. Which just demonstrated the level of service we received. From the booking process to dining, we were made to feel like an inconvenience, which really soured things when it is meant to be a nice day. Overall a really bad experience and won’t be going back.

Just randomly called in for drinks as we were passing today. It was very busy, but the lovely guy behind the bar said we were welcome to use the building outside which had heating and a T.V. Very nice atmosphere. We haven't been here in many years since my husband passed away, and it's clearly changed a lot, but the two guys behind the bar were so friendly and welcoming, and very willing to help. We'll definitely call back here for a meal sometime. Thanks Guys!!

Avoid- the booking system doesn't work and service is awful 939630671 Drove 40 minutes from Rugby with my pregnant wife for a reservation at 7pm on Sat 24th Feb 2024 as we used to like going there a lot when I worked in Honiley and we lived in Meriden. Car park was a nightmare with next to no spaces, greeted by a waiter with no knowledge of our booking despite an email confirmation and advised that he has no space other than a hut outside where people were allowed to smoke! No apology despite the wasted journey so we decided to leave and will not be coming back.

Had a fantastic lunch with the wife, food was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Will definitely return and use the garden facilities in the near future.

We arrived at the Tipperary looking forward to our evening meal, the waitress was great, very friendly and bubbly. The manager brought our bottle of wine, which was no where near cold enough but good wine, we had to ask him to chill it more, which he really wasn't happy about, don't know why. My pate starter arrived with home made bread and small salad, about a third of the way through of my starter after taking a bite of bread with pate I felt something hard, it was a piece of glass about 2cm by 3cm. I did not make a fuss just asked the waitress to get the manager. When he arrived at our table he said we buy the pate in so it's not us. Obviously I just pointed out that I really didn't care and that a large piece of glass was in my starter, he then said and I quote 'I won't charge you for it' I nearly choked, not sure if he meant the glass or the starter! I really thought he would say something like' I will check the pate to make sure no-one there's no more' but no he didn't seem to care at all. It was only driving home that it hit me how serious this could have been if I had bitten down on the glass, at the least a bloody mouth at worst a very damaged throat. I am going to report the incident to the food standards officer, mainly due to the lack of concern shown by the restaurant manager.

Another excellent visit to the Tipperary for my Mum's birthday. The food was perfect and plenty of it. My husband had the biggest seabass I've seen for a long time. I had a stromboli and it was spot on but so large I couldn't manage it all so they very kindly packaged it up for me to enjoy the rest at home. The service was excellent, very friendly, attentive and informative about the food. Nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly be visiting again.

Decided to give the Tipperary a go with some friends and try somewhere different WISH WE DID NOT…!!!!! . There was 8 of us and all tho the place wasn’t busy at all the service was terrible the waitress reply to everything when asked about the menu was “ I don’t know “ even a simple question “what’s the soup of the day” was given with the same reply after being asked to go and find out she eventually did came back with an answer . The food itself was the worst food we’ve ever tasted all tho having said that two of the starters were ok at best. 2 of us had the fillet Rossini the chef clearly didn’t know how to cook it as our sauce can only be described as being made up of gravy granules with some port running through it with lots of lumps and with some cheap shop brought pâté chucked on the top of the overcooked steak with no care what was sat on a soggy piece of bread this was really unpleasant . Others had the seafood linguine the prawns were hard and over cooked and the shellfish was very gritty this was also very unpleasant . Having tried to rectify our food it was met with no apology and a poor attitude . On top of all this there was a singer walking around the tables singing so loud we couldn’t here our selfs think never mind talk to each other maybe if want s singer on perhaps wait until the diner service is over not at 7pm when people are just arriving to eat . On the whole the food was far from cheap and a very poor quality. WILL NOT BE RETURNING ..!!!!

Absolute gem if a place. Visited with my husband while in the area and we will most definately visit again. Service was top botch and the food...oh my god! The best Italian meal I have had since being in Sorrento! Absolutely scrummy.

Booked for dinner for family birthday , starter burnt to a crisp, no-one even realised after waitress returned it to kitchen . Family next to us allowed to let their 3 children run around freely , running up and down behind us , - parents sat oblivious drinking , staff also oblivious . Brought us someone else’s Sunday dinners ( which we had ordered the same ) , my partner had put pepper on ready to eat and they came and quickly grabbed the dinners saying it was someone’s else’s order ! Then they took them outside to the correct people ! Main course was nice but not a relaxing atmosphere at all so didn’t order desserts as wanted to get out of there . Really disappointed in it .

The calzone arrived 75% burnt on top, tasted charred. My second calzone arrived looking promising but the male waiter informed me would be undercooked if that's the way i like it. The inside was cold, the mushrooms raw, and about 20 green olives. The crust was raw. So the choice is uncooked inside with raw pastry or burnt. After leaving 3/4 as inedible no explanation was sought, no apology. The male waiter who took payment looked blank when i told him that calzone was terrible, the worst i ever had. The calamari was tasteless. Worst experience of this year, food wise, and we're not even fussy eaters. Terrible food , service, no one checked our satisfaction, not one offered more drinks , the male waiter was miserable. Avoid.

If you want a decent Sunday roast then do not come to this pub. Boil in the bag chicken, over done Yorkshire pudding, under done roast potatoes and gravy that thick you could lay tiles with it £4.50 for cauliflower cheese that was inedible. No check back, no service at all. To top it off the place was crawling with bugs, dragonflies, spiders the lot. Avoid, avoid, avoid !!!!!!!!

Arrived 1 hour early to have a drink in the Garden. Menus brought out and order taken in our own time. Meal was gorgeous, several different, from steak to pasta. Limoncello sorbet special for 1 person. The whole evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all (6 in the party). Recommended, we will be back (this was our 5th visit anyway)

Wow!! What an amazing pub!!! The owner/manager really went above and beyond for my girls. He made the girls extra spe oal mocktails and it made the girls day. One of my daughters is disabled and she had the best time ever. Such lovely people work there and it would be really hard for me to eat elsewhere...the place could not be beaten. The food, hospitality and the warm atmosphere is above 5 star. The tipperary Inn, keep doing what you do because you are exceptional and extraordinary 🥰🥰

Come to this restaurant quite a lot and always exceptional service. The only criticism I have is that we feel that the roast potatos are not homemade anymore and the meat was sliced so thin,which makes it a little tasteless. The restaurant is very warm, clean and welcoming. The food and wine is of a very high standard as is the service. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the summer as the outside dining area is beautiful.

We stumbled upon the Tipperary Inn on a google search of places to eat on New Years Eve and what a great find.The food was fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes and veg tasted amazing. Not sure how you make potatoes and veg taste that good.Our waitress was lovely, very cheerful and helpful.

Recently ( 18th December 2021 ) we booked an overnight stay at Wroxall Abbey for our birthdays ( same day as each other ). On the Saturday night we decided to visit the Tipperary to eat. What can I say apart from wow and we were welcomed and looked after from start to finish. On arrival we went to the bar to check in as such and we were instantly made to feel at home. We arrived early and decided to sit outside in their substantial newly renovated and heated outdoor space. One of the best. Beautifully done with excellent seating and lighting. And indeed planted around are the onset of grapes vines and olive trees. ( can’t wait to see these in the summertime. ). The meal itself. We opted for starters and main courses. There is an extensive menu and indeed a chefs special menu. We ordered from both. ( we could do so several times over so want to return ). I had the most amazing prawn ravioli ( so tasty ). Many ravioli are not. Followed by fillet and lobster ( surf and turf ) cooked to order. It was perfect. My wife had a tom and mozzarella salad followed by salmon main. All cooked to perfection We were full so didn’t explore the desert menu but we were indeed indulged with a complimentary cheesecake with candles for our birthday celebrations. I can not recommend this family owned restaurant enough. Are welcome was heartwarming our food was exceptional and above all we really enjoyed the time spent with us by the staff and owners. It made the whole experience complete. And thank you all for helping to arrange a lift back to our hotel for us. We wish you every success in the coming months and indeed for the future. Your certainly deserve it all. We will be back in the summer for sure x

We moved back to the area last year, and wanted somewhere to eat on Friday lunchtime. Really enjoyed our visit, food excellent, atmosphere was good and all socially distanced and the service could not of been better ! We like to eat out every Saturday lunchtime as we find it more relaxing than Saturday night and our experience at The Tipperary fits the bill so we will be back !

We stopped for lunch on Saturday 16th October at 12 noon, we were met by a very pleasant staff member named Anna, we sat in the bar arear which was empty at the time, our food order was one Chicken Stroganoff and a Tornedo Rossini with garden vegetables, both meals were expertly cooked and presented with great flavours!! A truly enjoyable lunch with good service from Verdi and Anna, thank you to all!!

Was a regular at the Tip for an after work pint about 20 years ago.So didn’t recognise the place but was pleasantly surprised.Great service and excellent food, very well presented. Scallop starter was superb but could have been larger for £10.One of the best lasagne I’ve had : could have used a bit more pepper and/or chilli. Sea bass was too much and we took half of it home.Major plus point: despite the major refurbishment they have retained some decent real ales, rather than the tasteless keg beer in most gastro pubs.Friendly, helpful service and reasonable prices.

I’ll start by saying that the food is amazing. It is sadly let down by individuals and a poor location. Orga our waitress was amazing, attentive and went above and beyond. Since our last visit (prior to covid) all cab firms have withdrawn making it impossible to get home. Our waitress (Orga) went out of her way to organise our transport home which ended up costing us £30 to go 6 miles as all local firms had withdrawn from picking up at that location. At 22.30 I asked to pay for two drinks at the bar until our taxi arrived. I was told no and that the bar had cashed up. If you’re looking for an expensive meal, to drive home from its great. If you want somewhere to relax, enjoy the setting and get impeccable service from more than one individual, I would reconsider.

Went to The Tiperary Inn last week for an evening meal for a business meal.I had not been for several years and the restaurant had changed hands and now specialist in Italian food.The restaurant was not very Covid 19 friendly no windows opened or staff wearing masks sat in a small table with another 6 people sitting on a table next to us in a tight space area.The food was nothing any different than any other Italian restaurant except that most meals did not come with sides - You had to buy them separately to add to your meal. The norm being about £2.95 chips etc when they arrived the amount was very small about 12 to 14 chips. Really disappointed because we felt that this would place would be something special.Restaurant got busy quickly lots people waiting to be seated so standing around.Booked a table a couple of days before. Serves was slow between courses and when meal finished staff kept looking over seeming as if they wanted you to leave if you had finished.

We just love it here!! Sunday lunches are amazing as is the rest of the menu! The staff are so attentive and attention to detail is never missed. Terrific choice of wines. Sundays can’t come around quick enough. Thank you girls .. Leyla and Olga

Gave this restaurant a second chance after visiting a couple of years ago. The food was mostly pretty decent. However the evening was spoilt by the extremely inattentive service. The servers were polite but were more concerned with clearing the empty tables. We won’t be back.

Regular here, lovely sunday lunch, but portions so much smaller than usual . Not enough meat, pot or veg. May have to find somewhere else now as not value for money which is a shame.

An excellent Italian meal at The Tipperary. Relaxed service and an wide choice of dishes. I opted for mussels for my starter (very tasty cream and wine sauce) and baked chicken for my main course (beautifully tender). We'll most certainly be back. Highly recommended.

We visited the Tipperary in June for a family meal. We have eaten here on 2 previous :occasions; once for a light lunch and on the end of the day I got back to the the other occasion for dinner on Saturday evening. The food was okay on both the earlier occasions but we chose mainly pizza, pasta and salads. This time we chose more challenging dishes. For starters I chose King prawns which were very nice but the accompanying salad was uninspiring and clearly had been prepared earlier in the day as the cucumber slices were very dry. The prawns were served in their shelIs and I was disappointed that a finger bowl was not provided. My son ordered the fishcakes which would more appropriately be described as potato cakes. They were minuscule, lukewarm, hard and lacked fish.We all aordered different mains but each dish was served covered in a deluge af the same congealed mushroom coloured sauce which was obviously standing around for hours. It looked really unappetising; almost as though the contents of a colostomy bag had been poured over the meat . The roasted vegetables were in fact steamed not roasted. They consisted of carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and one wet looking potato. A very strange choice of vegetables to roast. The chips were stale and had multiple discolouration. We were halfway through our main course before anybody appeared to ask if the meal was okay. The waiter appeared to be un surprised and unconcerned by our comments. We were given replacement chips and vegetables which were an improvement but sadly it was too late as we had finished eating by this point. Another concerning aspect of this visit was the fact that although we were still in the midst of Covid restrictions, the waiter was not wearing a face covering and neither were some of the other staff. In summary, although the Tipperary boosts that it is a gourmet Italian restaurant, all it does is warm up previously prepared food.

Great place if you like good food and good service! Staff are very friendly, informative and have great knowledge of the menu and the food is fantastic, as is every time we visit! Faleminderit shum !

Wednesday 14th July. We ate here with family and had truly amazing food. The menu was not run of the mill. Wonderful to have such an exceptional meal served by such delightful staff. We would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Another local pub let us down, so we ended up there for a retirement meal for my wife. Very good service, food was served outside as requested, I knocked one star off because they'd run out of Sauvignon Blanc, other than this it was good.

Friday 21st May, enjoyed a great meal in lovely surroundings, staff were great, food was exceptional, we had the Bistecca Diana & the fillet steak. Can’t wait to go back again.

I was appalled on arrival as the waitress was rude to me because I was struggling with my mask, then no table had been reserved, and we were told the covered area was for smokers not eaters; choose another table! Indeed it did have 2 smokers already filling it with horrible smoke which made the prospect of eating adjacent to them impossible.Ultimately, we ate hot food at a cold, windy, uncovered table. Bad times!We deserved better service and information at the time of booking! I hope they improve their staff.Food is good, but WE wont be going again! And I expect they're losing a lot of higher-paying diners because of this.

We went to the Tipperary for lunch at the end of September. The place was spotless and the staff were friendly and efficient. The weather was nice enough to sit outside which we did, along with a few other people. A lot of effort had been spent on the outside area meaning there was enough room for everyone to socially distance. we had the chicken milanese and the seafood linguine. They were both absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.

Would never go again. The starter was frozen in the middle, the lasagna tasted like mush and the garlic bread did not taste of garlic. We ordered a beer that never arrived. But they did take the lasagnas off of the bill.

I have passed this place many times and often wanted to book here to see if it had changed since I last came here a long time ago.The menu is largely Italian but there are other things on the menu too. On arrival we were net by very friendly and courteous staff who immediately asked us to sanitize our hands and sign in the ‘Covidbook’.We ordered starters and main including Arrancini, soup, ravioli and a steak dish in s mushroom and brandy sauce as well as a kebab special and all of the food was fresh, hot and the tastiest food I have had for a long time!!We observed the staff sanitize every few minutes and clean everything including glasses, shelves, surfaces and beer taps - safe to day the most hygienic place I have been in by far and it was very natural and commonplace, not just done for the sake of it! Well done to the staff who were friendly, efficient and do hygienic; the chef for fantastic food and the place in general for a great experience and one I’d recommend to anyone!Will definitely be back as Sunday lunch looks fab!!

Booked an early meal and found all social distancing, santisers etc... in place. Very friendly and helpful welcome. All the food ordered, both traditional English and the Italian choices were well cooked and well presented and one of the best Pizza Calzone that I have eaten outside Rome.I shall visit again whilst in the area without question.

We stopped here by chance fancying a nice meal out close to home There is no way to explain how beautiful the food was it really was exquisite, amazingly presented and the flavours are out of this world possibly one of best meals we have had in years Also our happy hostess Sharon was incredible attentive making sure out glasses were full and our stomachs also, would recommend coming here to anyone and will most definitely coming here again

We ate here on a lovely sunny evening in their garden. Obviously they had been working to improve the grounds, which were looking very good. We enjoyed 2 of the 2 starters we ordered, not being keen on the calamari but the salad caprese was enjoyed.All four main meals were very good. Steak, chicken, pasta bake and linguine with seafood were delicious not one complaint. I had the seafood linguine and cannot fault the flavour and sheer amount of fish on my dish. Very impressive as was the steak Diane. Plus the cost of each meal was - we thought - very competitive Now the BUT. We only saw 1 member of staff wearing their face mask / covering correctly. This was a young teenage girl. The rest of the staff were cavalier and sloppy about how to wear them. The young woman who served us failed to wear hers correctly, not once covering her nose. Now we did not complain as we were outside but if we had been inside we felt we would definitely comment. Both the men in our group went to the bar at different times and said that the staff were not wearing masks correctly. Please Tipperary staff remember; the idea is to protect you and your customers!We are back in the area in August and are hoping by then you have got it sorted as we SO enjoyed the food; the friendly staff and the garden area.

Have been a regular customer for about 3 years, couldn’t wait for the Tipperary to re open. Booked for my wife’s Birthday last Thursday 9th July 5 of us for food and drinks. What a disappointment we had , we were expecting things to be a little different due to the corona virus, but what a shock , greeted by the staff who were friendly and helpful, but that’s where the good part ends, we were shocked to find a group of loud drunk and rude men, there was no social distancing for them they were constantly at the bar, more and more kept arriving spoilt our evening, the food was very good but for some reason they have made it so you have to pay for sides whereas they used to be included in the price, roast potatoes and veg cost me an extra £7.00 that’s on top of the meal price. Thought we would give it another chance tonight Saturday 18th july BUT an even bigger disappointment we found, the same group of drunk rude men were there again, but what made it worse was that they kept on arriving , buy the time we left there were about 30 of them ranging in age from about 18 to 50 admittedly they moved into the garden , but crowds of up to 10 at a time were coming in and out of the pub, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL. Will be a long time until we return , has changed from a lovely Italian, to a rowdy pub full of drunks who probably when the clubs are back to normal won’t go there anyway, SHAME ON YOU TIPPERARY FOR SPOILING A GREAT RESTAURANT,

My daughter brought me here for a Sunday lunch, the staff were efficient and friendly, the food was lovely, the only drawback was we had to ask for dessert menus twice but worth waiting for

I visited here on a Monday evening for dinner with my family (husband and 3 year old son). The food and service was spot on. I recommend this restaurant for families and the food is delicious!

I have been here multiple times, and will happily come back, they offer a 2 course dinner for around £16 and 3 course for £19, from a decent menu with some nice choices.But I can’t give this place more than a three as it is just average food, there is no real wow factor.My last meal I had small tasty minestrone soup (at £5.95 which was a bit heavy!) followed by salmon fillets marinated in teriyaki sauce, (this was £13.95) salmon was skin on which would not be my preference on a skewer and it was served with plain boiled rice and a side salad, nice enough but not 7/8 out of 10. Nice food but not really very imaginative!So a small bowl of soup and some salmon and rice was around £20 plus 2 pints of Morreti for £9.80 was just under £30. Work pays so that’s ok, but with the wife I would have been disappointed for £60.00!

Visit on a regular basis have never been disappointed. Waiter very attentive the food is always amazing. Would recommend a visit.

Haven't been to Tipperary Inn for many years and went for my wife's birthday on friday. The meal was very good and all six of us really enjoyed the food. Decent portions well presented. Service was good and would recommend a visit.
