Only stayed for one night as had a course for work the next day, the food was great and the woman on the reception was very helpful, the room was small but was clean and didn’t need for anything

You need to sort the stinky toilets out. It's really horrible and it's been that way for a number of months now. Smells foul like drains or plumping need some serious attention. Its so overwhelming and repugnant! Appreciate it's expensive to fix but this is a big chain. Cleaner needs to do better. Windows full of spider webs that have been there more than just a few days. Really noticeable due to the dust that collected on them. Food is decent for price. Dog friendly pub. Atmosphere nice and friendly. Good menu selection. Comfortable and tables and seating area clean.

I hate leaving bad reviews but sadly the service we recieved (and were made to pay for) was appalling. Decided to eat here Easter Sunday and it was suprinsingly quiet given the day. Plenty of empty car parking spaces as well as tables. No queue for the bar/carvery etc. We waited to be seated and then waited a further 20 minutes for the waitress to come back to take our order. Eventually gave up, and went to the bar to order as she still hadn't returned. (Eventually found the waitresses stood at the bar all talking together). Ordered 2 meat cavaries and 1 vegetarian carvary. After an hour my vegetarian carvary still hadn't arrived and I ended up having a plate of potatos and stuffing! The bill came and I had still be charged full price for a "vegetarian meal" of nothing but potatos and stuffing. Upon querying it I was told that it was the "discounted price". I do not call £12.99 for a plate potatos, stuffing and gravy "discounted". In fact I would call it the exact opposite. When stating this I was told by the waitress that I could have gone back up for seconds if I were still hungry? So yet again more potatos and stuffing. I ordered a vegetarian melt, I shouldnt have to fill up on vegetables due to their error. I was told that there was a lack of communication between the waitresses, bar staff, carvary staff and kitchen staff which meant my order had not been put in, but apparantly I still had my moneys worth and was charged £12.99. As we were about to leave, the manager came over and appologised and was told that when our waitress came over to take our orders she didn't put the order in? However, we informed him that we never had a waitress at all until our plates were cleared and no body had bothered to come and take our orders we had to serve ourselves for both food and drink. Safe to say, we won't be going back to this restraurant. The black mould all over the curtains and windowsils at our table, along with the massive hole in the cieling and cracks along the wall just shows the level of detail and cleanliness too. The table next to us was also dirty when we arrived and there were clean cutlery just placed on the chairs. We eventually watched the waitress clear the table, then take clean cutlery off a dirty chair and place it on the table to eat. Maybe I was trained differently or expect a certain level of hygiene, but placing cutlery on a chair that has had people sitting on it and children standing on it, and then place that on the table for people to eat off is certainly not how I was taught to set/wait tables. Really dissapointed compared to other tobys/restraunts we have visited.

Had a lovley lunch here .very friendly and helpful staff. My wife had the hunters chicken so enjoyed it . I went for the fish and chips very nice and to coin the panda stick a fork in me I am done. We will be back I saw other things on the menu I like the look of

We live local and found this little gem on Friday. Some of my partners work colleagues set up a surprise leaving do for him and it was fab! Food was excellent, service was second to none and what a lovely, well run pub it is. Special thanks to Emily, Dan and Jess for looking after us and making the day so great. Keep up the good work and keep this pub going. We will defo be visiting again and can thoroughly recommend it.

Myself and 16 of my friends and family have been tonight. The food was absolutely shocking call themselves an Indian grill👎

Fairly straightforward to order online via the QR code, but this can take a while. The deal for 4 people was decent value. Quality and freshness of items at the salad bar is always hit and miss. Disappointing that we had ordered and paid for a specific side, only to be told by staff afterwards that they didn’t have any, so we had to order an alternative product instead. The food arrived promptly, it was tasty and fresh. There were issues with the ice cream factory - staff tried to fix this but the machine took time before it worked properly again, which impacted on our desserts as we weren’t able to eat them together (other family members had hot desserts at the table served with ice cream, so those had to be eaten at the time of serving).

Great chips, nicest ones had for a long long time. Chicken freshly cooked and lovely, as were the chips. Excellent. Thank you.

Visited Saturday 19th april for food and drinks. Welcoming atmosphere, staff are amazing and work hard. We was served by steph. Although We was a little difficult got our order 100% , always smiling and willing to go above and beyond to help. She even took our drinks to our table. Happy guests and we will return

Only over cooked beef available unless an extra 20 minutes for pork ...no lamb no turkey. no knives and forks when the meal came out . No salt pepper on table . No horseradish sauce .. now for meal .. frozen roasters all the veg absolutely rock hard vegetables and I mean rock hard !!!! The whole of the serving plate of veg was left . Now for the good bit ... The gravy was spot on on . We told the manager about our meal .reply ..well I've not been in the kitchen today ... Charming

We come here quite often! Absolutely lovely place, Dave was a good laugh and very welcoming - would definitely recommend coming here!
