Went here with friends and had a nice meal, pub was nice and clean and the staff are very welcoming, will be returning again soon

Came here with the family for a afternoon meal. We had the hunters chicken, kids beef burger, fish and chips and lasagne. All dishes were value for money. The food arrived in a timely manner. The drinks range was great, something for all of us. The guys behind the bar looked after us well. The service was good.

Beer is always good and served with a side of banter, new manager has really improved the standards and atmosphere, well done rich and team

Saw the chick n mix offer for £6 and it was well worth the value. The servers behind thr bar were friendly and polite. The summer drinks range is ok and the new koopaberg is fantastic

I come in to watch the football over the weekend and the atmosphere was great, it was busy but the staff worked so hard. Will definitely be returning.

Could not fault the food or the staff. But the hygiene of the pub was atrocious, the floor was sticky, the bathrooms we’re disgusting, no toilet paper, blood on the floor, bogeys on the walls, menus were filthy & sticky, tables were sticky, the gaming machine was flooded with liquid & there was a strong smell of bleach too. I understand they mustve been busy lastnight but that is still no excuse especially at 2pm in the afternoon.

The food was lovely but unfortunately our visit was spoilt by the very strong smell of bleach and the floor was very sticky .The menus were hard to open as were covered in alcohol, had to hunt around other tables to find salt and mayonnaise bottles were all empty . There wasn't any toilet paper in the cubicles and the toilets were very dirty, so overall wasn't a good experience.

Popped in for dinner and a few drinks and the team was pleasant and helpful Told us what offers were available to us and was polite. Food was hot. Nice clean cutlery

Great little spot to catch up with friends and family will definitely be back for a visit great value and lovely atmosphere.

Very slow service. When they are busy they ignore app orders. There was one barmaid on and she was sluggish. She was only dealing with the customers in front of her and very slowly at that.

Ordered a medium rare steak and it arrived very well done, turns out it was the last steak so had to order a different meal. Scampi was covered in dark black oil, looks like the oil hasn’t been changed in a while. No check back on food so had to wait at the bar to complain. No steak knife with meal either. No coke on draft, only bottles, moretti tasted off also. Had to get our own cutlery which was dirty and no napkins.

Went for Christmas dinner with a group of friends and everything was lovely. Huge portions, great service and good value for money. Would definitely go again.

My sister booked this for a group of us(12)to get together for a Xmas lunch,she even went in day before to make sure everything was okay and to let them have our menu choices so the chef knew exactly what we were having. We arrived at 12.20,meal booked for 12.30,it was over an hour before the ladies who booked a starter got them,an hour later(2.30)we eventually got our main meals(after a lot of talking from my sister). Main meals came in fits and starts,even though we kept being told that everything was ready ,most of them were only Luke warm, probably the worst cooked meal I've had in a long time. Eventually my sister went to speak to the manager and told him to forget the puddings as we'd already been there 3 hours,and weren't prepared to pay for the meals after the way we'd been treated and as the meals weren't that great. I felt sorry for my sister as she had worked hard to get everyone together and had been in touch with the cat and fiddle to make sure all was right. The only one thing that made the mood a little lighter was The barman Alex who kept apologising and doing his best under the circumstances. Would we go again,most definitely not .

Went here the other night was very impressed with the food. My daughter ordered a lasagna and I wouldn’t have give it my dog. It was disgusting. We decided to go for our tea instead of cooking. And we had the build your own burger seeing as it was a Wednesday. I had the chicken burger with bacon Mottsorella sticks & curry sauce. It was amazing I've tried plenty of burgers in my time. But that chicken burger was the altamate burger ever the curry sauce I could of asked for a mug full and drank the lot. Brilliant all round and a fantastic thumbs up to the chief.

My friend invited me for Sunday lunch and we enjoyed our meal. We had the 2 for £12.99 Turkey Sunday lunch and I was surprised at the size of the meal. It was very tasty and good value for money. I would have liked a hot plate as some of the food was only warm. We both had one item missing from our plates... I had no roast potatoes & my friend had no Yorkshire pudding so I went to the bar to tell them and within 5 minutes our missing items arrived at the table with apologies. We both had the coconut cake with raspberry jam & custard which was also very nice. For my first visit here I was impressed with the quality of food, value for money & the customer service. I will definately return here in the future.

We went with friends of ours so a party of four, we ordered our starters all good at that point then we ordered the main meals and sorry it went downhill from there. The first to arrive was the curry this was only luke warm so had to be sent back to be reheated, then a prawn skewer arrived but without the accompanying salad and chips these arrived ten minutes later! by this point the skewer had been finished. The other two meals arrived 10 - 15 minutes after the first two I expect all meals to arrive at roughly the same time? it is such a shame we found the food to be excellent but the service let it down.

Visited the Cat and Fiddle before their make over and had a mildly disappointing meal which I have to say was dealt with quickly. I went back after the make over and was hugely impressed with what they have done. It is now a lovely bright space where food diners and drinkers can somewhat be separated if they wish. The food I have to say has taken a massive improvement. My husband who is particular with his food really enjoyed the sirloin steak and chips. It was by far the best steak he has had on a less expensive budget. I had hunters chicken which was really lovely. Top marks for food, staff an surroundings and will be coming for a Sunday dinner very soon!

First time we have had chance to call in since refurb and it’s very nicely been changed . We had lunch on a busy midweek and quality of food was good but a lot smaller portions . The wife had probably one scoop of mushy peas and the desert portions a lot smaller too . But the seniors price was very good value for money .service was very slow and it shows if it is to remain poplar they will need more staff to cope . All in all we would definitely call back in and eat there again .

I was looking for some where to have a drink & a meal with family. So we decided on the cat & fiddle great barr. As we have been before the refit. I must say the beer garden is looking good loved the play area & the fact that I could watch the tennis out there. The food was brilliantly prepared. And fresh. Loved the sharing platter. And the burgers were fresh and hot to. We will be back & also recommend it to friends & family. Thanx for a lovely afternoon.

Refurb good That's was really the only good thing .No steak's,no fish no Hunter's chicken no chips.Hardly any food available.We waited long time for food to arrive . Very disappointed

The Cat & Fiddle have undergone an amazing refurb...booked a table for 5 and as always the staff gave us a warm welcome...any slight problem with our meals was instantly rectified and the sirlion steak was the best i have tasted...can't thank the staff enough...

First time to visit after the big refurb..wow doesn’t it look really new.. a vast difference good outside area play area for the little ones a really nice touch..staff are tired busy weekend still friendly if a little slower than normal …no toilet roll in the ladies but there’s a basket of ladies essentials nice touch..no toilet seats seems the norm apparently but hey ho they were clean.. well done greene king ..long may it last

First time visiting after the refurb and the pub is looking fresh and welcoming. Massive thanks to Sue who helped us with our order and looked after us from start to finish. We also then stayed for sticky 13s bingo, which was great fun and gave the pub a great atmosphere.

Was pleasantly surprised as the food was really nice so the move to Greene King was a positive. As it was first night thought there would have been a lot more staff and they were definitely required . Queue at the bar was horrendous but that could have been couples at the bar when only 1 of them was needed to order a drink. Went on the app in the end to order a drink following the meal which took 30 minutes to arrive. The waitress did apologise for the wait. Ordered deserts on the app which when presented were incorrect but once pointed out it was rectified. The only downside to the experience was the delay in clearing away the table staff were walking by emptying handed. In the end I gathered plates and was going to do it myself but a member of staff took them from me. Gave up when the dessert dishes were left on table but then someone collected the glasses so asked them to clear the dishes as well. More staff were definitely needed ( 1st night opening after refurb)but as the food was nice I would go back as no doubt tonight was a novelty as pub had been closed. Refurb where we were was nice but couldn’t comment on the rest as pub was so crowded.

After a fantastic refurb the Cat feels like being on holiday it is well laid out great for the family as it has a lovely play area outside the staff were very friendly and the food was great

Came up from Somerset to see my grandparents for the first time since covid. . The cat couldn't be more helpful. The food was amazing and had no problems at all. It was my birthday when I visited and I even had a cake with a candle from the staff. We always visit here when we see our grandparents.My nan has been after a fish and chips from here for a long time.

The Cat & Fiddle hasn't looked so pretty in years, the lounge feels warm and comfortable. While the bar is set up for sports. They have really created 2 very different spaces. I could happily have cocktails with the girls in the lounge while the partner is next door watching footy with the lads. Tem are so attentive, I like the standards they have with covid (masks, table service etc) I felt very safe. Also the food was high quality and delicious, can't get enough of chicken mix, I change my meal every time highly recommend the cat can't wait till we can party again like the old days.

We’ve been to the cat and fiddle a multiple of times now and never been disappointed Julz has been on host and always been really helpful, the bar staff and wait staff are really good and don’t mind coming to you multiple times to take your orders, the are all very smiley and friendly would 100% recommend going and they follow the COVID rules to the T

Mr boris pub rules applied so well, probably more welcoming and comfortable then it was before. Table service makes it so much easier to order. Really enjoyed my time and felt safe and happy. The staff member sue really made my time enjoyable.

This is now our local having moved to the area three years ago. We have made some great friends here and always guaranteed a great time when we go. Staff go out of their way to help you. I’d like to mention some in particular but they are all wonderful so wouldn’t want to leave anyone out. Lovely atmosphere. We are lucky to have such a great community pub with truly wonderful staff. Great atmosphere and the food was good value for money. Lucy, David and Julian are great hosts Sue, Chloe, Charlotte and Jordan are always smiling and happy to serve and Will is very professional and pours a top quality pint.

I recently visited the Cat and Fiddle to watch the Villa game! After booking a table and finding out the tv next to us didn’t work, we were stuck! I had travelled over to Birmingham to watch it with family members and the kids especially were very excited!! After chatting briefly to Jules (the manager) we were delighted to find out that he let us sit in the bar with the kids. He was extremely helpful and we were all very appreciative! I definately will be back!

Yes it maybe a pub on a housing estate but it's a nice pub inside and the food good and hot. The team are helpful and friendly.
