After a day canal boating, we turned up at the Foxley in search of dinner. They weren’t doing food but the landlady quickly suggested we order takeaway to eat in the pub, produced a pile of menus and even phoned the order in for us and gave us plates and cutlery! There was a local music group entertaining us with tunes and such a friendly vibe in the place. Great beer too! Definitely recommend you stop in!

We've been to the Butchers for our Sunday lunch / birthday lunch for our eldest boy's birthday. Absolutely delicious. The boss and I had the creamy garlic mushrooms with Stilton on toasted focaccia while the boy had Thai fishcake with lime mayo. It was all really good then there was beef and all the trimmings, and although the portions were enough to feed more than us, Mum persuaded us to have a pudding. Waffle and ice cream for me profiteroles for the boss. We're currently sat in the garden, belts loosened, contentedly groaning and moaning about eating too much. First class. You need to book but would recommend without reservation.

If I could have given them less I would have done🤬🤬🤬🤬 the language was atrocious by one of the so called ladies who work there, didn't here those sort of words from grown men. Plus 20 min before they could even take my order. Don't need bacon oatcake that much!!!!!

Brilliant I used to six towns oatcakes, started coming here, the oatcakes arnt massively thick, which is a bonus, they ram them full of filings, Since coming here for the first time last week, I have been every single day I go work, I can't resist my oatcakes from Sneyd Oatcakes anymore, 2x single cheese sausage bacon and Cheese banging, will reccomond to anyone wanting oatcakes

The staff are rude They barely speak. Unless you are a "work person" with a giant order. Then it muffles a few words. The oatcake I ordered was extremely dry, burnt at the edges, no juicy tomatoes. Bacon overdone. I had two mushrooms, lucky me! I didn't order mushrooms. The blonde girl was constantly on her phone. And nearly gave me a drink I didn't order. It's a @hit show!!!

My wife and I had a brilliant night last night at the club, it was a Soul and Motown themed night, the DJ played great music and the place was sold out, we pre booked the food, which was simple but absolutely delicious, one of the best sirloin steaks I’ve had in a long time anywhere I think the club itself has been on a knife edge for a few years now but I think these themed nights will be it’s saviour and a priority is marketing and selling to younger generations, if I was to hazard a guess last nights average age would be 60 - 70 and we won’t live forever !

We used to go to bloom all the time, over my last 3 trips I have noticed it getting progressively worse! Since it's been taken over it's tatty and run down! Today, drinks were not nice at all and these used to be the best in town here and Newcastle! Service was ok, extremely slow to try and get service though and I ended up having to go up to find staff just chatting at the bar? The drinks we were served came in dirty glasses, asked to be changed no issue and the waitress was apologetic and removed from the bill but it was honestly no where near on par with how it used to be taste wise, tasted odd and nothing like a pornstar martini! Really disappointed and honestly don't think we will return now! Such a shame for something that once was a great business.

I'm vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the roast dinner - everything was cooked beautifully, especially the veggies. The vegetarian gravy I asked for was a good flavour - not the gloopy stuff I often get. Yes I was surprised to see Quorn mince with a roast dinner but it was prepared really well. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing you need to be aware of (and this is whether you're vegetarian or not!) is the presence of stringent street parking restrictions. A lot of the spaces are permit only - including the car park 'round the back of the pub - and it is very zealously monitored. It IS possible to park, but just be careful.

Had a lovely all-day brekkie here for £8. Everything was beautifully cooked and tasted great and you get a large plateful of food! However, the other customers, and there were only a few, were from the swamp. One group were continually swearing with F this and F that. The other group were taking the piss (and getting it wrong) out of other customers, including me. If you can stomach that, the food is Great! I would say this place is NOT family friendly One star knocked off for the awful atmosphere!

I booked this place last minute and it was the best decision I have made. The orange tree is a lovely place and the waiter Harry was so accommodating. He is an incredible member of your team. The food was beautiful, I have the chicken skewer and it was cooked so well and tasty. I came here after my graduation and was greeted with a glass of champagne and a card from the team. Beautiful place to go, can’t recommend it enough.
