The best restaurants serving British food in Stoke-on-Trent West Midlands

We have been going to CK for 20 years ,and wont be going back in a hurry .The prices have gone up massively again ,and the portions are down remarkably.The table was dirty the food ,what there was of it .Was rubbish ,it wont be long before its taken over by Asians ,you cannot reduce portions and put the prices up .Just says its the end of the road to me .

Brilliant cafe food and staff again now that the original owner Jo is back. Just to let you know their new opening hours are Monday & Tuesday - Closed Wednesday - Saturday - 8am - 2pm Sunday - 11.30am - 4pm The Sunday Roast is to die for it’s a Traditional Quality Home Cooked Lunch

Absolutely brilliant. We had Sunday Lunch. Great service friendly atmosphere. Super food at an affordable price. highly recommended

If I could have given them less I would have done🤬🤬🤬🤬 the language was atrocious by one of the so called ladies who work there, didn't here those sort of words from grown men. Plus 20 min before they could even take my order. Don't need bacon oatcake that much!!!!!

Disappointing with food portion sizes and expensive tap Coke. Nearly £5 for a pint. Can’t understand why places do this as the mark up on that is obscene Staff lovely and great service though

Banging every time, highly reccomend. Kids menu is only a fiver also so ya really cant beat that for decent food! Sunday menu is different than in the week but both normal & weekends food mint.

It's not in the best of locations . Parking is available . I had an all day breakfast , excellent quantity and quality .

Brilliant I used to six towns oatcakes, started coming here, the oatcakes arnt massively thick, which is a bonus, they ram them full of filings, Since coming here for the first time last week, I have been every single day I go work, I can't resist my oatcakes from Sneyd Oatcakes anymore, 2x single cheese sausage bacon and Cheese banging, will reccomond to anyone wanting oatcakes

My uncle arranged a funeral wake here for my nan in 2019 and we got both rooms. This time we paid similar costs but only got one room, there wasn't enough chairs. Not only that we had such nice food in 2019. The warm and cold food were of such high quality. This time we paid nearly £400 at 8.50 per head for over 40 of us. There wasn't a very good selection of food. Couple of coctail sausages. The hot food was awful. Sandwiches were very basic. The pringles and food just looked like they had been bought from aldi or lidl. Not only that we were not told the room would be required back by 7pm. We were told at 10 to 7 and they binned our food that was left rather than offer us to take it with us. Ended up speaking to the staff about it to be told "the person who arranged it was aware it ended at 7" which isn't the case as I arranged this myself directly. I offered her to read the messages I have for the conversation. My mother has passed away and I've had to arrange her funeral myself at just 30 years of age and to end up in almost an argument with staff is not how I wanted my mothers wake to go. Truly devastated 💔 I wouldn't even rate this place one star after

Nice pub. The staff were friendly, it had relaxed atmosphere. I like the wrap around bar. We went after the football so only stayed for one but will visit again.

Been several times previously and always decent for a quick lunch with family. Visited today and ordered three meals before taking a table. While paying for the meal (when ordering at the counter) the lady taking payment advised that you can select an option on the card machine - this with set gratuity (tip) payments starting at 10%, 20% and so on (increasing). This before food was served. I found this just wrong and will deter me visiting again. More than happy to leave a gratuity (tip) but always after the eating experience is completed - the food was fine but I am never going to reward people until the reward has been earned. I really find something as simple as this will defer me visiting in the future. This is clearly a business practice that I find just wrong.

After a day canal boating, we turned up at the Foxley in search of dinner. They weren’t doing food but the landlady quickly suggested we order takeaway to eat in the pub, produced a pile of menus and even phoned the order in for us and gave us plates and cutlery! There was a local music group entertaining us with tunes and such a friendly vibe in the place. Great beer too! Definitely recommend you stop in!

Unlucky day for us but was great

I have been going here on & off over the last 20yrs and the food does not disappoint. Always had an excellent meal ans staff are always friendly

Ordered the carvery Choice of 4 meats Beef, Turkey, Pork with Crackling and Gammon and plenty of vegetables and sauces choice. Everthing was cooked to perfection. The chef never stops and is very pleasant. Worth a visit.
