Had the Roast of the Day. Great food and prices were good. Nice decor inside and friendly staff.

Food was excellent, portions generous. Can't fault anything.

Steak pie was recommened and did not fail it was lovely with big chunks of steak with no fat......fresh veg too 😊

Went in to the furlong because I saw that it was open till late, this was definitely not my first choice. I was greeted by a blonde older woman with a fridge who gave me and my friend a very nasty look. In my opinion I think it’s due to us not being a regular as this is a very clique pub when you aren’t sitting for food despite us both being very local. Additionally she asked me and my friend for our ids which is understandable but then proceeded to snatch our ids out of our hand to then slap them down on the drain Mat when me and my friend were clearly putting our hand out to take them back yet she ignored us. She then said “what do you want” when asking for our drinks. In my opinion this is no way to treat a paying customer as we were nothing but pleasant and used our manners when asking for anything. I will not be returning. However there was one nice red haired woman who was constantly pleasant to everyone.

Had the Sunday roast and the beef was outstanding as was the rest of the food, staff were great and nothing to much trouble, I will be returning.

We had Gammon and chips, the Gammon was lovely, the chips were soggy, oil had soaked in to them, we didn't eat them. One of the staff was very abrupt, we have been here a few times, won't be going again.

The second time we visited this establishment, the food for all 10 of us was excellent and there was not one complaint about main meals or puddings. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly, nothing to much trouble on food and bar orders. There was a good atmosphere within the pub and our party helped also, will definitely be going back with other family members.

Linda Ryan and Emma are the staff I know and are great staff with great customer relations and very welcoming i would pic this pub before any other local pubs in the area, furlong keep doing what you do best great food great friendly staff and of course great beer☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Went here last night 18th May .We were a party of 21 people to celebrate my friends' Chris &Terry's wedding anniversary.We all had different meals,they came out quickly and were piping hot.I had steak and ale pies with home made chips.It was really tasty.The lovely lady who took our orders(didn't catch her name) was very polite and smiling ,as was our server Olivia.We will be back your meals are delicious..Thank you

All home cooked food and it's all delicious. Chairs need replacing as they are in general uncomfortable and in need of recovering at least. Pity about that as the food n staff are spot on.

On behalf of my family I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at The Furlong for the buffet on Saturday April 27th for our daughters 40th Birthday Celebration The food, atmosphere and staff were all amazing. Thank you all so much for making the day stress free for us.

We went for a fmaily meal there was a large number of us, honestly the staff were real friendly and it is clearly a popular pub as was so busy, however honestly the food was not to my taste.....i had the tandori chicken sizzler, it was too sweet for my taste and i was expecting a dry rub as tandori usually is, however I will say the portion size was very good. Our table also ordered a chilli con carnie, which i thought was nice but was rather too heavey on the chilli flavour which spoilt the dish a little. Another dish our table had was lesagne which was good however the skin on Fries were laden with greece and were not very hot at all as if they had sat in oil for ages. I would not say it was terrible but because i didn't enjoy the meal i dont think i would return.... There were positives and negatives to our meal and a real mixed bag. It was very clean, staff very friendly and turned around tables quickley. A 3 starts is fair for my experience

Can't fault the staff or food only lost a star ✨ as I thought the drinks we're a bit pricey but that's just my opinion, also good veggie options they don't skimp on the portion size which sometimes reflects on the quality but everything was spot on 👍

Went for lunch to celebrate my friends birthday. I was pleasantly surprised at the choice of food on the menu, the food was delicious and the chips were to die for and all reasonably priced

Really nice pub. The place is very clean and tidy. It's easy to find a clear clean table when you enter . Very polite and attentive staff, I was very happy about how fast your served here, your not waiting at the bar long at all . Drink prices are reasonable , it's around about a fiver for a premium lager. There's a good sized beer garden to the side and a heated smoking area. I had a southern fried chicken burger it came with homemade chips a side salad . It was an excellent burge, homemade ( even the chips) and was tasty . My only criticism Would be the bun wasn't toasted, this is of course a personal preference, the burger cost me about ten quid, which was a fair price for what I got . Top marks to the chef I really enjoyed it. To the owners and staff thank you. I enjoyed my afternoon in your pub and will definatly be back .

Went for lunch with friends Food was terrible Pie was very very salty Chips were too well done 2 sizzlers 1sr meal Chicken was dry and lamb chops very chewy 2nd meal again chicken very dry and gammon salty Only meal that was good was the fish and chips Food here used to be very good but its certainly gone down bank Also the bar staff were messing about ringing the bell and throwing empty bottles some smashed it was like a playground

Recently visited with family for a get-together for a meal and drink. I picked the Furlong Tavern, having been there before and living locally. Recent reviews appeared positive, so I felt confident I'd made a good choice. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the service was quick. My pint of Doombar was below average, being very slightly hazy and not tasting like it should. Other drinks ordered were mostly soft drinks, so they were as expected. Out of the 12 meals ordered, the ones with chips were very disappointing. The regular chips were undercooked and oily. Nobody finished their chips. Normally, I would raise such issues straight away, but I felt embarrassed as I had picked the Furlong Tavern for our meal. The remainder of the meals were acceptable, but my onions on my sizzle platter were undercooked. Everyone enjoyed the pie, lasagne, burger, chicken and fish meals except for the poorly cooked chips. I did, however, notice that later in the evening, the surrounding tables had better-looking chips with their meals so feel that maybe there was a glitch in the kitchen.

Havn't eaten here for a while but the food was absolutely beautiful, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the price was very reasonable.

Great for meat eaters but not vegans. I went 11 months ago and the vegan burger was awful. I went last week. Ordered falafel . I could not believe my eyes . 4 tiny balls. Which wasn't falafel at all but pakora . On some leaves for £6. More like a starter not a main meal. Glad I ordered some chips or I would have been hungry . I would have expected them to be in a wrap at least with cucumber tomatoes etc. . Fuming with myself for not asking what on earth they just served me .

Wow! Haven't been for a while but this visit was brilliant so will have to come more regularly. Staff were friendly, accommodating and quick. They were really helpful when we were ordering and the food only took a max of 30 mins for 12 people. The food was delicious, hot and amazing! I would recommend the Tikka Sizzler and any of the sizzlers. The chips were amazing!

Just got home from having the best meal we've had in a long time. The staff are amazing and the food was perfect and huge portions. Had the tandoori sizzler and I've brought the rest of my chicken home with me. Thanks loads, cant wait to return xx

My first visit while in Stoke, the pub was warm inside, very welcoming, the service was attentive, I hade a roast beef lunch and it came quickly, it was hot and tasty, the bar staff were great, I noted it was popular and busy, there was also a function on I guess a wake by the dress of the customers, There is loads of parking space and in dry weather seating outside, id recommended a visit for anyone in the area.

Absolutely shocking food overcooked complained to manager RUDE said would not be back manager replied "don't care" will not give back and advise to give it a miss.

Great food at a reasonable price. The serving staff were excellent and had a decent choice of ales.

We booked for 18.00 a table for 10 Friday 15 th Dec 2023 when we got there we were told we would have to vacate the table by 19.50 and no sizzle meals and various other meals on the menu they were concentrating on Xmas meals. They didn't explain this on the phone while we booked it was my daughter in law birthday meal we felt rushed my fish and chips was a shadow of the previous meal we have had there before a burger meal came undercooked we complained We told the waiters we felt rushed even though it wasn't there fault not a good experience at all. I shall be leaving this restaurant to the Christmas celebrations our money is as good as every other person's there.

We were a party(birthday) of 11,never been here before and never will again.as soon as we sat down we were told instead of 2hr time slot we had 1hr 50 at the Absolute max,as there was a xmas party coming in.To say at every given chance we were hurried along is an understatement. One meal had to be sent back as the burger was v raw.what an experience....

We went for a family meal a older woman who claimed to be the bar manager came to serve us, one of guest who suffers with autism was struggling to get her words out to be told hurry up ur tables only booked for a hour she then huffed and walked of like it was a inconvenience to her to serve us we got the food it wasn’t the best, as we were finishing our drinks we were all discussed to see the same woman shout at a elderly gentleman because his walking stick had fallen on the floor and was trip hazard she completely humiliated the poor man we will definitely not be returning

Xmas meal was beautifully cooked & the service as always excellent, however the food was served luke warm, it soon went cold only a few minutes into eating. Rushed off table after finishing to reset for another party, nowhere else to go in the pub & enjoy the rest of the evening with our group of friends, hence the evening ended much sooner thank it should of done. Would only recommend for food, not to go for a social drink.

Am disgusted in what happened I called in with my brother and sister my brother had a drink he went to the bar to ask for music to to be put on the staff Tracy she got abusive, however although I agree he interrupted her serving a customer I don’t feel the way she spoke to him was warranted, however we thought won’t make a scene so my sister took the bar management aside to explain she didn’t agree with it, my brother then accused the staff of homophobia I didn’t agree with that but instead of telling my brother leave he came over and said I stand by my staff so all drink up leave even thew me and my sister had done nothing wrong we have used this pub for years but won’t be using it again

Haven't been to The Furlong for a while so was pleasantly surprised when I had a really tasty meal lunch. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and cosy. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Very impressed!! 👏👏👏

Booked a evenings out with friends, arrived Seated at table then things started going downhill. The waitress never offered menus so after 15 minutes we got some of the bar. Still no service called the staff member after another 10 minutes when she was serving another table. Food ordered and it came quickly and the food was very good. Staff collected dishes took our orders for desserts, again felt totally abandoned as after going and reminding the staff about our order after an hour of no further service we decided to call it a day with no dessert delivery. Completely disappointed with the service and informed staff of that effect. Food recommended service worse I have experienced in years.

Had a roast beef dinner, it was spot on , others with me had ham, egg chips or fish & chips, all plates were empty when we had finished and the sweets were nice.cant fault the food or the service. Full marks all round.

Best Sunday lunch ever, mother and I had the lamb rump, the wife had roast beef, the veg was perfectly cooked, the mashed potato was smooth and buttery, the roast potatoes were amazing and the Yorkshire pudding and stuffing balls were delicious, couldn’t eat a dessert because we were stuffed.

Popped in for tea as we hadn't been here for a long time. We bought drinks from the bar and ordered food from the table, we both had steak and ale pie it was delicious the steak melted in your mouth. Service was good they were really friendly the only thing I don't like is the table set up it feels like a school canteen other than that it was really nice.

We have been to the Furlong many times, and had a nice meal. Today it was awful. My wife had the steak and ale pie, and the pastry was rock hard, the steak was as tough as old boots, and the gravy was just a jelly. I will give them credit when we complained they did change it for the fish and chips, which we decided would be better as they explained the pie was on a tray and would be the same. When the meal came the fish was not cooked it was still raw. we complained and they offered a sweet which we refused ,and still charged us full price. I don't mind paying top price for good food, but this was a joke. Will never go there again and if you do be careful of the fish
