Fantastic pub one of the best in the area.

Nice little local with friendly staff

Stopped by this brewery for a few pints. Great atmosphere and really good beer. Staff were friendly, exactly what I needed after a long flight.

Very good range of beers and ciders on draught. Excellent variety of bottled beers too. Good choice of crisp supplier pipers where the long horn beef are my favourite.

Visited tonight, loads of beers to choose from, if your not sure ask the barman, he will suggest what beer to taste, nice pub with a friendly atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Belter of a pub. Brew their own beer that is unbelievably good! Great atmosphere with a proper old school boozer atmosphere. Warm open fire surrounded by traditional decor. Main room wraps around in an ‘L’ shape with plenty of tables. Also a large separate room and roomy outdoor covered seating area. Top drawer pub. Certainly one of the best I’ve been to!

Went to the Holy on new year's eve. Good atmosphere not too busy. Good choice of ales, some brewed on the premises. I particularly liked their Etruscan dark mild. All were well kept as usual. The owner, Paul, always finds time to have a chat with us.

Incredible pub! Very happy to have this as my local! The staff are very friendly, the space is very cosy and warm (especially if that lovely log fire is on!) and the selection is like no other. Their self-brewed stuff is incredibly good and well priced, too! The Holy Inadequate is always busy, but there is plenty of space hidden away and it's always quick to get served, too. Lovely food options here, too, including their homemade pork pies! CAMRA award winning, and it shows!

I'm a fan of this pub. Lovely traditional pub nice atmosphere with books and games nearby. Some music when I went in but not overbearing to the point of not being able to talk. Do a lovely pork pie I assume its homemade if not, it's still jolly good. Great selection of beer. Not the easiest location to get to, but other than that, all is great.

After a cold brisk walk along the canal, opening the door on this wonderful drinking hole is a must. A warm real fire welcomes you as well as a selection of real ales, ciders and keg beer. If you are visiting Stoke-on-Trent to sample its drinking delights, add this to your list. Yes it's slightly out of the way, but if you want beers and atmosphere head over to this hidden gem!

Nice bar with good selection of drinks. Some of the regulars are a bit weird but besides that's it's a nice and relaxing place!

So glad we detoured here from our canal ride. Great range of cask ales. It’s rare to find one dark ale but to have two was a real treat. We will visit again if we’re ever in the area.

We took a walk from the canal. Don’t judge the outside of the pub. Excellent range of home brewed and guest beer. Good sound track and a variety of places/rooms to sit. Dog friendly.

An excellent example of a traditional style pub and brewery. As well as those brewed on the premises the cask ale selection also includes some guests.

Excellent choice of beers very well kept at this surprising local. Bar stacks also available but the main event is the ale.

Ok but own products bit bland and expensive also less options of other breweries even more expensive, better places nearby and more friendly

Really friendly great pub with some great staff! Beer is always changing and run with some amazing brewery’s, food wise they have some lovely pot pies, couple of meaty treats and plenty of crisps. Well behaving dogs are welcome, the beer garden is nice maybe some more decorations outside but it’s still very nice!

Great place with a really good selection, always friendly crowd with some really good local brewed beer. Ticketyboo is well worth a nights sampling on its own.

I tried many pubs in England, never seen a pub as professional as this one in craft beers, I can remember once upon a time I was on my way from London to Manchester, I diverged from M6 to A500 just for one reason and this is was to try one the most best full bodies beers I’ve ever drunken. This is Tickety-boo. This pub has its own brewery running by a real alchemist! Recommend to everyone.

Best pub in Stoke on Trent with the best bar staff. Beer is superb dog friendly even our Wilf likes the beer customers are so friendly.

Difficult to find and get to but well worth the effort. At the end of a rather beery week off my wife described her pint as the best of the week and tasting like nectar. My pint was great too. Our new favourite pub. More than Holy Adequate.

One of the best things I've ever done is step foot in the Holy Inadequate! Not only is the pub friendly, cozy and welcoming I have made amazing friends for life! As a member of the LGBTQ community it is very inclusive and I have been accepted by staff and customers alike, I often go alone and always end up having an amazing night, our family dog Penny also enjoys her visits for a good fuss when I'm dog sitting. On a personal note, this pub also boasts an excellent selection of peated single malt scotch whisky which I find is quite rare outside of Scotland! The owners, Sarah and Paul have done an amazing job in making this pub one of the friendliest and most welcoming in Stoke on Trent and I couldn't ask for a better local. Disclaimer: I have actually visited this pub but I am often under the influence of Laphroaig 10 or Talisker so take this review as you wish!

A fantastic pub with a great selection of drinks and the nicest staff and owners ever, it's not a foodie pub so it's bar snacks (and amazing pork pies!) Friendly and warm atmosphere and you can tell it has a fantastic community of interesting regulars. Lovely covered beer garden out back with plenty of seating for smokers, and when it's cooler there's two lovely log burners that make the pub extra cozy :) I'm not an ale drinker but my friends are and they really enjoyed the in-house brews. Also they have some books and games in the back room so it's a great spot to meet up with friends, with plenty of really good local takeaways for if you get hungry. Also lovely that the place is dog friendly! And can personally attest that if you're looking for a place where you can go for the first time on your own, you'll have a warm welcome here!

If you pass through Etruria, Stoke, try the ' Holy Inadequate' Just off Black Prince Marina. 9 real ales, including their own micro brews, and 3 real ciders. No idiots allowed as Paul the landlord has this place just right. No hot food offering but a fantastic pork pie and scotch egg available, great little snack. Proper traditional boozer with great ale, nice atmosphere and real people. Also I have been in! (ask the landlady what I mean)
