I just want to start by saying, the food here is incredible. But I cannot come here any more times without leaving a review. It's the third time in the last 6 weeks that we have been here (because we love the food) but EVERY time the female waitress is so rude, arrogant and brings the whole experience and atmosphere down. Such a shame as everything else in here is lovely. We have highlighted this to the manager, but thought a review is the correct way to get the message heard. Hopefully some customer service training can put this waitress back on a happy path. Keep up the good work with the food. Will still return just because the food is of a great standard.

Would love to say I had a nice meal but wasn't given the chance. The place is open till 5pm but was informed they stop serving hot food at just after 4 pm! What's all that about. I like the brand but this is not on,nobody wants a cold pie! Put the customer first!

Shared a meal here with my son after visiting the Monkey Forest. Situated within a lovely outlet village, serving a range of Pie and Mash. Service was amazingly quick and meals were tasty. Had to chase them for my peas though, which was a little disappointing, and I am not a fan of grabbing a table and ordering within the shop or at a bar.

We ordered the pie mash , peas and gravy , the pies were ok a bit hard on the crusts , there wasn’t much steak in both pies , the thing that spoilt the meal was the price of a can of pop £2 each And the tables are not wiped around the edges, my hubby moved from the table and all his white t shirt was covered in gravy that was on the table edge , I can say I’ve been but won’t go again

No menus on tables so each had to get up and go in to have a look.Food arrived promptly but as soon as husband finished eating the lady took his plate despite two of us still eating. When we had finished she took our plates. Moments later when my husband finished his coffee she took his cup - again despite two of us still drinking our drinks. We felt incredibly rushed. Popped by as we had visited the monkey forest nearby. The shopping village itself was heaving for a weekday, but luckily we managed to squeeze onto one of the last remaining outdoor tables. Track and trace in place. Lovely lady on the door. Some seating under cover with small heaters. We unfortunately missed out on the last one of these due to the one way system, which with 2 little ones wasn't ideal. However, food arrived in less than 5minutes. Mash and gravy was nice. My chicken pie was INCREDIBLE. The nicest pastry..so crispy. I need to find another of these somewhere closer to home. Lush! Really liked their 5% PieMinister lager too.

We usually buy pies here to take home, but this time we decided to dine in.The place was pretty empty and we waited to be seated as instructed. It is clear that the staff here either don’t like each other much, or they lack communication skills. We were told to sit in one seat, then asked if we could move by another, rather rude waitress. We told her we’d been told to sit where we were and she mumbled something under her breathe. The same rude woman took our order, and it was clear she had no idea of the products sold in the restaurant. I ordered a cider to which she replied ‘we don’t sell that!’ Even though it was written on the menu, and I’d passed it in the fridge by the entrance! She went over to the fridge in a huff and shouted over ‘is it this one?!’....very rude!Food was ok, but the plate was swimming in gravy. Much preferred if it was served separately as it has been in the past.Overall, an exspensive dine in pie, in cold surroundings with a rude waitress.Think I’ll stick to take-out!

Came in and an a member of staff sat us down but never asked whether we wanted to be sat indoors or outdoors and just sat us up a corner outside. We waited a good 10 mins before someone brought us a menu and then he asked to take our order when he had just given us a menu. We then saw someone else come up to be seated and they given the choice to sit inside or outside to which we asked a young girl if we could move inside, she said yes but then started doing something else before siting us so just left us stood there, to which the women who sat us down came over to us and tried to make us do the track and trace again and sit us back down outside. Once we got inside we had our order taken and the food was very nice, cant fault that, but after we finished we weren’t asked if we would like anything else but were brought the card machine! We were given no bill to check what we were actually paying and when we asked to see the bill that was in the waitresses hand she said Ill give you one once you pay and she gave us a card machine receipt and that was it... dont think ill be eating in again!

Me and my Mother visited today hoping to have a nice lunch out and were extremely disappointed by the experience. Despite not being very busy we had to wait 20 minutes in the sun (heat wave) whilst a female member of staff who had very clearly seen us just stood inside, not bothering to welcome us/seat us/ or even just ask us to wait if it was necessary. In the end my mother asked if I could ask the member of staff what was happening as the member of staff was simply looking at us the whole time and not saying anything, and we were obviously not allowed to just stroll in and sit because of Covid. (There was a sign to wait to be seated.) The member of staff finally mumbled something unapologetically through her mask that was not coherent and five minutes later we were seated. We were tempted to leave but decided to persevere. It was extremely hot inside and when we politely requested that we have the air con on, the member of staff disappeared for some time and then said it was broken quite abruptly. This time we decided to leave, and the members of staff did nothing to remedy the experience.

£22 for 2 pies and 1 machine coffee. And not even great pies. Tough pie tops, scant filling and served on “rustic” tin plates meaning the pie, peas and gravy (which was extra) were stone cold before half the meal was eaten. Staff asked if we enjoyed our part eaten meal, we said no and told them why. No apology or effort. I guess the customer survey box had been ticked. The problem with Trentham generally is they think they have a captive audience and there is nowhere to grab a quick lunch and drink for less than £12 each.

As we only live a 20 minute drive from Trentham shopping village this is one of our favourite frequent haunts & dinner at Pieminister is a must. From friendly staff to good quality food it is a “must” for what is essentially a pie & mash shop. The range of pies are fantastic, even for vegetarians & vegans. I have to say the vegan pies are delicious & I’m a carnivore! The service is quick, the food very tasty & I’m never disappointed. You can even buy the food - pies, mash, gravy, etc, - to take home to heat yourself. The inside dining area isn’t the biggest, but as the food is served quickly we never have to wait long. I’ve rated my experience as average although that doesn’t do my visit justice. Visited with a group of work colleagues, very pleased with the swiftness of food orders reaching our tables. Polite staff, average surroundings. Don’t think that there are toilets on the premises, so you’d have to use the toilets available within the shopping village. I was pleased to see a choice of two vegan pies, I opted for the vegan Kevin - a very sweet rich pie served with mushy pies, vegan mash and vegan gravy for £8.50. A reasonable price, I’d already checked online and perused the menu for options. There are two/three gluten free options too. My main criticism was that there was just too many flavours in the meal - minted mushy peas, rich pie and a strong flavoured gravy. It was an okay meal, apart from the mismatch of strong opposing flavours. I think the minted peas could have been plain to be fair. Overall nice to have vegan options, would probably visit again and try another vegan pie.

We came to pieminster having heard about the great pies. Who doesn’t love a good pie? We ordered 2 motherloads with 2 different pies and a mac and cheese side to share. The motherload deal is a pie, mash, peas, gravy, crispy onions and cheese for £9. Pretty reasonable price I thought. Firstly, the pies are ok. Not great but not bad. I couldn’t taste the bacon in my pie at all but that didn’t ruin it. The problem is in the details. Firstly the menu said peas. It did not say minted peas (it does day minted peas in the side orders section). Who puts minted peas with a beef pie? Lamb or fish, no problem but mint really doesn’t go with everything. The presentation made it look good but again, really not thought through. If your gonna stack the food up it needs to go from the hardest item to the softest on top. Take the classic London pie and mash shops. Pie then mash then gravy. By presenting it with the mash on bottom then the pie then everything else, you cut into the pie and the mash gets squashed out and mixes into the fairly thin but tasty gravy so you get a mash and gravy milkshake type concoction whether you like it or not. The Mac and cheese was very pale, not very cheesy and lacked the nice grilled or baked top (the best bit) again just lacking in refinement. These little things really add up. It wasn’t bad so I wouldn’t send it back, we were asked if everything was ok (twice within the space of a minute by two separate waitresses when I’d nearly finished) and the place was grubby, I had to flick a pea off my seat before I sat down and the brown sauce in the bottle looked like the last bit of another bottle that had been poured on top, a bit discoloured and rightly or wrongly I didn’t trust it to be honest. The final nail in the coffin was when the waitress cleared my plate when I’d finished even though the other half was still eating! That’s as basic as service gets I’m afraid.

Whilst pies were tasty they were very over priced. £7 for a small pie with a smear of mash and gravy is taking the mick. Not much better than a Greggs which would be half the price.

What a fantastic selection of the most unusual pies. Good wholesome food served quickly by very attentive, friendly efficient staff. The hardest part is choosing from the menu. Spoilt for choice.

I have shopped here for years and I even buy the 'Wildshroom' vegetarian pies cold to take away and take them on holiday for me and my daughter to enjoy as a delicious veggie meal when we are self catering in France. They are THE nicest pies I have ever tasted.

I was suprized by the variety of pies on offer and they were very filling. Lilovely setting on the Trentham Gardens estate and the staff were friendly and polite

I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon for a light lunch and sat in the outside dining area. I was spoilt for choice on the menu but decided to go with the Mexican inspired pie.

I must admit that I have eaten here before but not for a year or so. It was my Dad's 89th birthday and we decided to go out for lunch. The original idea was to go to the Six Arches restaurant (within the garden centre at Trentham) however it didn't work out very well.

Delicious pies and an amazing selection with combinations and ingredients you wouldn't expect to see in a pie but all work so well. excellent highly recommend

We visited today for lunch. I had Fish Pie and my Wife had Cottage Pie. The Cottage Pie contained four tiny pieces of meat and no gravy to speak of. There was an abundance of mashed potato, very disappointing. The same applied to my Fish Pie,very tiny amount of fish although it had more flavour than the Cottage Pie. £7 for each dish was poor value for money as both dishes contained 95% mashed potato. Would not recommend the potato topped meals.

A little on the pricey side at £7 for a pie and a side but my chicken and mushroom pie was perfectly cooked and promptly served! I am a regular here so the prices clearly don’t put me off! Can highly recommend the vegan pie too!

The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly and it was incredibly clean inside and out. I chose a vegetarian pie (3 to choose from) which was delicious. Great if you are in a hurry as a super quick service.

Had a quick lunch here before our journey home. Service was very quick. There is a very good selection, with some great combinations and couldn’t decide. Only issue with our meals were the pie bottoms were very hard but other than that great!

We have had take away pies from here before but thus time ate in. The pies are mouth watering even more so when combined with the mash, gravy and minted mushy peas. The service was very fast and it literally seemed around 5 minutes from ordering until our food arrived. The coffee was really nice too.

We had a lovely family meal tonight to celebrate or granddaughters 18th birthday. The food was lovely and I would recommend to anyone. The jacket potato & Chilli was delicious compliments to the chef. Great quality and good value.

My wife and I had a brilliant night last night at the club, it was a Soul and Motown themed night, the DJ played great music and the place was sold out, we pre booked the food, which was simple but absolutely delicious, one of the best sirloin steaks I’ve had in a long time anywhere I think the club itself has been on a knife edge for a few years now but I think these themed nights will be it’s saviour and a priority is marketing and selling to younger generations, if I was to hazard a guess last nights average age would be 60 - 70 and we won’t live forever !

We booked a room for an event, the room itself was fantastic, the bathroom however was a different story! My girlfriend was in the shower and was then asked if she could stop due to it leaking into the pub downstairs, she still had conditioner in her hair. After about 15 minutes I enquired with the barman (who was very pleasant and stuck in a situation that wasn't his fault) he explained that he couldn't get through to the manager and to let my girlfriend just use the shower to continue to clean her hair. He also explained the since they had no more rooms we were unable to switch. Whilst my girlfriend was in the shower the shower handle came off. Along with the issues with the shower the toilet also leaked from the base. We waited until we had to leave to see someone but upon leaving still saw nobody to resolve the issue!

The restaurant was in a really nice area. I came here with my family and we all really enjoyed our food. The roast dinners were especially nice. I love the fact that this restaurant was dog friendly and the decorations are stunning. Very warm feeling. However, the waiting times were a bit too long. It took forty minutes for our main meal to arrive and twenty for desserts. I appreciate the time of year but I think it is just something to improve on because the rest of our experience was brilliant. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

It’s probably the best cocktail place I’ve been to in a long time. Me and my mum went for drinks and snacks . The waiters are very friendly and polite.
