Really disappointed that no leeway was given with the vouchers for the tea room. Mum's friends had bought them for her 90th Birthday in December, and I was going to take her over for afternoon tea with 'the girls'. Sadly mum's health declined and we were not able to go. When she died in August I found the vouchers, intending to return them to 'the girls' so they could still do afternoon tea in memory of mum. But they had expired, and when I got in touch I was told that it was too late, and nothing could be done. Mum's friends are all pensioners, so £30 is a lot of money. Sad.

Been to Farmer & Friends about 3 times for lunch now and felt it was time for a review. Every lunch visit has been great, super food in a warm & welcoming environment, fantastic customer service and today we even had a bit of singing from the team which made me smile 😊 and bought some cheer to an otherwise grey day. I’ll be back again soon to enjoy their superb food and may even join in with the singing 😉 Keep doing what you’re doing Farmer & Friends!

We've been here many times over the years, even having my Mom's wake a couple of years ago too. It's a lovely looking pub, but I don't think the food is particularly good anymore. I think that that applies to the Vintage Inn brand which used to be quite good. The staff last night were all pleasant, but the food (apart from the steak) was lacklustre. The sharing camembert was not hot, the bread was dry, not toasted and the chutney was forgotten, we had to request it. The pies we had were all air, very little filling, and mostly a large dome of pastry. The veg were piled ontop of the chips - which ended up soggy. Desert - orchard crumble was very overpriced for a very shallow sickly sweet "crumble" We visited to take up the offer of 50% off mains. Wished we hadn't bothered.
