Really lovely Sunday lunch; perfect portion size (small) plentiful, hot and gravy served separately! Attentive and efficient staff.

Got to the pub early evening and it wasn't too busy. Almost one hour later our main course arrived, by this time the place was quite busy, especially so we thought for a Wednesday. Not impressed with the quality, my wife's meal included broccoli, which was burnt! Mine included garlic bread which was not soft with garlic butter but hard and tough. Waited an age for dessert menu to arrive. We gave up and decided to go to home for coffee rather than wait any longer. So no dessert. By which time we had realised there were only two waitresses who were run off their feet. Very disappointed.

Visit the Oaken Arms quite often. Food is generally good. However, on this trip my wife ordered the CHICKEN, BACON & AVOCADO SALAD. She asked to skip the bacon. When the dish arrived, the bacon wasn’t there, neither was the avocado! What was on the plate were two small tomatoes cut in half, lots of little gem lettuce, two pieces of un-toasted ciabatta with pesto. We pointed out the missing avocado and the raw ciabatta. The plate was taken away and avocado added. We were told the ciabatta had been toasted. Guess what? You wouldn’t have known. Anyway, nit pleased with the solution. Try harder please

The team at Oaken Arms were fantastic! We booked a Buffet at the Oaken Arms as part of an event we were having at our business which is in the local area. The buffet was for 25 people, with a mix of hot and cold food which was fantastic and that was commented on by our guests several times, coupled with the venue and its carpark facilities and friendly staff which made our event go extremely well. I can't thank the the team at the Oaken Arms enough...Would highly recommend.

I’ve been to the Oaken Arms many times over the years and always have an enjoyable, delicious meal. The staff are always pleasant, helpful and friendly. They take particular care of me and my food intolerance. Parking is easy and free and there is a comforting, comfortable atmosphere inside. I love the real fire in the winter. For dog owners, it is a dog-friendly venue.

It's in a lovely countryside location. Nice decor and feel inside. Food was nice but portions looked small. Staff pretty good although a few of the younger ones needed a pep up. All in all we would go back

Visited this evening with my dog to meet a friend. There was a warm welcome and the Oaken Arms was very dog friendly.Chris and Sophia were really friendly and helpful and brought a bowl of water and treats to my table for my dog. When it came to the bill, Chris helped me to navigate using the app and informed me that I had an offer on there for a free bottle of Prosecco! Great food and service, and very dog friendly 😊

My brother and I brought my sister and brother-in-law for a farewell lunch (they fly home to Canada)... service was poor as food was miss represented and given to the wrong people... The allergy meal had three items removed and no alternatives....(where offered) dessert menu arrived late(place wasn't busy)went to bar to get dessert menu and was ignored.....

Lovely hosts. The food is excellent and dog friendly . Stayed in the motorhome in the car park overnight on the to Wales.

We had a lovely meal, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The only thing that I think could have been better was if the drinks were hotter. We had various coffees as part of the mini dessert and hot drink after the meal and the coffees were only warm and went cold before having chance to finish. Otherwise excellent, thank you!

We had a lovely Sunday roast at the Oaken Arms. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back for another meal soon. Highly recommend for a Sunday roast with friends or family.

The food was loveley and a credit to the chef Bayleigh, our waitress Olivia was helpful and efficent.

We loved the decor, the food was lovely except the mushroom starter, this would've been better if chestnut mushrooms as they tasted slimy. The steak was perfect, the staff were lovely. The only thing that I didn't like was walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke, maybe put smoking area away from entrance.

We had a big group of 17 for a birthday celebration meal, everything went perfectly. we were well looked after by Simone and the team and the food from chef Craig was excellent. Nothing too much trouble, we can highly recommend The Oaken Arms our new favourite pub!

Awful service waited over an hour for my son's starter then to be told out mains were 10 minutes out, 10 minutes went by nothing 20 minutes went by and nothing so we asked as there were other tables being served who were seated after our arrival to be told it's going to be another 20 minutes because my son had a starter it delayed our mains I've worked in customer service and not one person informed us we had to ask multiple times, I understand hospitality can be hard work and hard to meet customers expectations but hour and 30 mins for some garlic bread and a drink and not one member of staff checking in, I was appauld. We left without food and ended up going elsewhere. It was a real shame because the pub itself is beautiful, we were very much looking forward to a nice family meal!

The pizza was really nice and both the manager and our server Kelcie were really friendly.

Went for a hen party lunch and had a fabulous time. The service was spot on, food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Well worth a visit.

A lovely venue with amazing staff. We were served by Simone who was so friendly and welcoming. I went for a very vinegary bulgar salad with added prawns which for £17 was completely underwhelming. Chips I stole from my boyfriend's plate helped matters. Definitely recommend a heartier alternative!

Booked a combined Mother's Day and Birthday meal with the family. The Mother's Day set menu was great with plenty of choices but I opted for the Sunday Roast - Sunday Trio - Sirloin of beef, pork belly & crackling and turkey breast & stuffing, served with ruffled garlic and herb roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, thyme-roasted carrots, glazed parsnips, broccoli and gravy. Compliments to chef Craig - it was a fantastic meal. The best roast I have had for years. We were served by Leanne who was lovely and did a great job.

Great pub most of the time, last visit I had a snotty barmaid. Won't be going for a while. Expensive...

It is difficult to suggest something that could be improved. The staff are attentive and very helpful given that I have a gluten, dairy and yeast intolerance. I have not been to a restaurant where a member of staff or maitre d'hotel was as knowledgeable as to which choices were, and were not suitable. We are able to take along our very small dog, who is very quiet and better behaved than his owners, but this is not possible in many, or most restaurants. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is not excessively noisy and there is a very nice wood fire. The combination of the above two points are very compelling.

Had the rib eye steak. Very chewy. Would not recommend this meal

Thought we would give the Oaken arms a second chance as we had a very poor meal at Christmas. Went this evening to be told at least 3 items not available on the menu (one of them being batter for the fish). The sweet menu also had items unavailable, reason being it’s Sunday.

Inside was very warm and friendly, the staff were lovely. One of our meals was a lasagne, and unfortunately was a bit cold in the middle, we asked them if they could reheat which they promptly did. So maybe just check that the food is piping hot throughout before serving

After been contacted by the pub as we are on the mailing list we went for a birthday meal which offered a free bottle of Prosecco. Both my wife and I have the same birthday, we only wanted one bottle. We were refused this offer as we did not have the right email. It was a little frustrating as I had tried 4 times to get in contact with the restaurant by phone, no email address supplied, the day before. The manager could not give me an address to complain, so I have had to resort to Trip Advisor. When you send somebody a birthday offer and they accept it, please make good on this offer. Food and service were good but the free bottle of Prosecco offer spoilt the meal for me.

To finish the crumble with custard was sublime.,couldn’t manage the coffee. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning for some more yummy food.

Visited for lunch today after a long walk. This place does not really cater for light lunches such as sandwiches. We didn’t want a full meal so the options we had were soup, neither of us fancied the flavour, a pizza to share or a starter. We both opted for a starter but the portions were extremely small as I suppose you might expect for a starter and not really filling enough. Also rather pricey as were the drinks. We will go elsewhere next time I’m afraid.

Lovely traditional feel, foodie pub. It was dark when we arrived but imagine the views would be lovely. Would go again. Interesting menu Rabbit, Game etc.

What a little hidden gem. A must visit , great food superb array of wines. Totally recommend the Prawn & Chorizo PilPil Service ok too, but friendly interactive staff.

Great meal and service yesterday. Daughters 21st table of 8. The only downside was both veggy options having tomato sauce of some kind on them. Apart from that, faultless!! :)

Big thank you to Chris &Sofia for the lovely welcome and the table for my grandsons birthday! I had the seabass which was delightful, the rest of the table really enjoyed their food. Chris who looked after us was amazing! Even made a drink for me that I like that use to be on the old menu. We asked who was cooking to give them a mention thank you Craig, Lauren and kelsey! All in all a great experience would 100% recommend.
