It’s a very friendly place and the people who work there are very nice The food is very good and very good price, lots of choice when it comes to the table it’s hot and plentiful definitely worth the money and it’s very welcoming

I've been visiting this truck stop since I was about 8 years old on the way to north wale and how much this place has changed from back then in the 80s is absolutely amazing me and my partner have called in for a meal and a coffee stop twice a year since 1996 on our way on holiday and on the way back I can't recommend this place enough.

Staff were very very nice , food was OK , the showers could do with more regular cleaning during busy times as the shower room I got was quite dirty from the person before me. The location makes it quite hard to leave from due to traffic takes quite some time

Foods gone down hill a bit tbh. Money saving on inedible sausages that are tiny and have a peculiar taste . Undercooked frozen chips . And how do your burn an egg underneath and keep it snotty on top ?. That must take some training. Used to love hollies food last 2 visits not impressed.

Truck Stop has pretty much everything you'd need. Standard truck parking, secure parking, diesel, adblue, HVO, clean showers and toilets. Very friendly, helpful staff. Food quality could be better though. If it weren't for the food I would have given 5 stars.

A disaster from check in to check out! Chap at reception had issue taking our Scottish notes. Made an effort to make sure we knew he was doing us a favour taking them. We were shown to our rooms, one room had the most unstable floor when people were walking up the stairs next to it the bed moved, this room also had no window. My fathers room was exceptionally hot and also had no toilet. My room however, was the ultimate. It is so close to the road as cars passed my curtains blew in the wind! The toilet was filthy and (without being too crude) the bed was covered in body hair as though someone had left it 5 minutes before I got there! We are in no way particular about where we stay however for the cost it was completely unfathomable how a place could be so dirty and shabby. The breakfast was okay, but not good enough to overshadow the awful sleep the night previous.

Handy place to park truck clean toilets and friendly staff

Luxury resort but no pool, deck chairs or umbrellas. Snap towels can be placed to reserve your space. Enjoy.

This is the most disgusting car park in England. The food is disgusting and expensive. And of course you have no right to cook for yourself. The toilets and showers are dirty. Let's not forget the discrimination on the part of the staff. Unless you're English of course. If it was possible to give a minus rating, mine would be -5. And it's still a lot

Snap. The terminal is in the building to the right of the security guard's desk, the toilet is up the stairs, wi-fi was good in the second row. There is a lot of space, at 23:00 there were still places

We visited here the other night and planned to stay in one of the bedrooms but we needed wheelchair access and the rooms are upstairs.... very helpful staff. We stopped for the excellent quality pie and chips meal which was great value. Extra star for the disabled toilet which was spotlessly clean. Definitely going to call in again when we're passing.

We eat well. It's relatively clean. WC and shower. Friendly staff. Parking at a fair price instead of a motorway service. We can have a drink...it's nice it's open on Saturday and Sunday...good for 24 hour breaks There are bikers who come on Sunday, they are friendly 😀😀

What a rip off this place is for charges. You pay for 24 hour parking but only stay 9 hours or 11. You then have to pay to swap trailers and the other driver has to pay 24 hour parking for 9 hours rest. Certainly like to charge you for breathing at this place. Make loads of money for not being there. Staff could be better.

Reasonable, but we'll overpriced, considering it's not truckers, I'm surprised they sell anything, all goods in there shop are more than double in the supermarkets, the showers are warm at best but disgustingly filthy, hairs. Scum, boot prints inside the showers and stinks to high heaven. Has its use and good location, but it really needs to get its shop prices sorted, and cleanliness, there is a coffee machine in the foyer, it's £1.60 a cup😡, it's 30 or 40p anyware else. Gives u some idea eh?

Stayed at the truckstop in a lorry, not a room. A few points (decoration) check the finishing details. Apart from that the food was outstanding the staff were brilliant so helpful couldn't fault anything else. Will definitely be returning when in the area. Would definitely recommend The Hollies Truckstop.

I am a disabled truck driver and I wanted a shower today, 14/8/24 so I asked one of the staff if they had a disabled shower room. They said that they had not, but they would help me out. The manager and the lady with the blonde hair arranged for me to get a shower in the shower block upstairs. I will definitely be going into this Truck Stop again. I would definitely recommend this Truck Stop 100%

Everything was described earlier. It’s empty during the day, and crowded at night on weekdays. I arrived at one in the morning, and lucky one person was leaving. I took his place. Snap. There is also a car wash using Snap.

Food was ok but there is no point offering four or five specials if there is only one left on the board at 19.30 . And the portion of chips should be sent to Rwanda . Don’t know where they got them from . Too long in the Sunbed maybe

First time I've ever visited. Shower's were disgusting ( shower number 6 ) smelly hair everywhere rubbish on the floor. The lady who works there went and had a look she also said it was an absolute disgrace. Shame on you the Hollies what a display for new driver visiting 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 👎👎👎👎👎

Excellent parking, plenty of space, but on weekday evenings it can be difficult to find places. The awning was cut once, but most likely it was the drivers.

Best truck stop in the country in my opinion. Nearly sixty now an I've been coming here since I was a kid ( with my dad back then ) . Food is bang on ,showers excellent. Bar . People , all absolutely spot on. Thanks to all 👌 5 stars

Showers and toilets would benefit from a re fit.The staff are lovely and the food is good. Drinks and snacks available in the shop. Washing machine and dryer available at cost.

Lovely cafe we live near by but can see the attraction for truckers they have rooms for cheap to rent per night a little shop and a refueling station food is lovely too.

Guarded parking, DKV payment, Snap, and all fuel. As for the location, there is a problem in the evening. You can make a reservation for this. No change for years. The same security guard. I recommend it 👌👍

This used to be a fantastic truck stop with great food....( facilities were a bit dodgy though back in the day)....now it's gone full circle and the facilities are great but the food less so....the chips especially are awful....more like boiled potato with a tan than a chip. This place has been on a downward slide over recent years and truly needs the owners to take a real good look at the food instead of continuing with the Status Quo. I'd recommend the Truckers Rest a few hundred yards away for a better meal....it didn't used to be but is now Edit..... thanks for the reply.....I find it difficult to believe anyone would consider what you served as chips.... certainly not 99% of Truckers.... multiple types of chips? REALLY?....who would know that or expect it from a greasy spoon. ... keep it simple and keep it real. In all honesty I think what you served was par boiled cut potatoes that are flash dipped on oil to give them the slightest resemblance of a chip so you could serve it rapidly so don't insult my intelligence and make out it's some kind of culinary choice

UPDATE 2024. After a long time away from here I decided to try it again. Whilst everything is pretty much the same, the bar flies are horrendous. Getting drunk, spilling food and harassing the ladies who work here. Reminds me why I gave up staying here in the first place. Hopefully the police will pay a visit and start breathalysing drivers before they get out on the open road! I used to stay here all the time but a 30 minute wait for a freezing cold shower which then ran out of water is a disgrace. It's not much to ask for a hot shower after a days work and they can't even provide that despite how much money they must take every night. Owners are just greedy. Stay at the TRUCKERS REST down the road now for good food and showers!

Parking along A5, not far from M6. It is possible to pay via Snap (food voucher included). There is a shooting gallery with various small items, you can also use a voucher. There is a toilet in the cafe and on the second floor, where there are also showers. Reefs cost separately, it is possible to pay for parking with security. There is also a washing machine and dryer located behind the cafe. You can take a walk into the city. All the best.

Snap, the parking lot is divided into zones: there is an asphalt zone and a dusty dirt road. There is a sink. There are separate places for refrigerators closer to the restaurant. There is enough space, there are many free places on weekends. Wi-Fi is free, but the signal is weak. The building contains a restaurant, hotel, shop and sanitary area. To get into the shower, you need to bring a parking ticket on which it says: “put it on the window.” I had to go back for this ticket to get into the shower. When I asked the question: how do I find out about these rules? , the corn woman from the bar started to be rude and swear at me, then another one hobbled over and asked me to get out, leave the premises and informed me that I had to go and ask my colleagues about the rules in the parking lot. I laughed at their hysteria because of an elementary situation (when there are no arguments, narrow-minded people begin to become aggressive), but I decided not to use the restaurant, because if they allow themselves to communicate with customers like that, then who knows what might come to aggressive, angry and boorish people head, and what they can do with your food))) I ended up in the shower: a cesspool of dirt and water. The room smells of mold and mildew. There is a slogan on the door: “clean up after yourself as you would like them to clean up for you.” I don't mind using a mop to clean up the water after myself, but it needs some deep cleaning. I hope that this is an isolated case and this attitude is not towards foreign citizens, but because the women from the bar did not have good books and Mary Poppins among their teachers. Parking showers are generally normal. It is forbidden to cook in the parking area, there is no designated place for cooking. VIP steak is the worst that I have ever tried in my life, I have the impression that they made it out of rubber.

Hotel not required only hgv parking, arrived late no parking spaces remaining, but night security came to my rescue and moved some coned off area , because I was leaving before 6am

First time using this truckstop. Friendly staff, good food, ample parking. Woke up in the morning listening to the birds in the trees so stayed in bed 30mins longer.

Stayed overnight in room 3A. The bathroom had a foul smell of sewage, there were black marks all over the walls and marks on the duvet cover. I knew this was a truck stop but for £69 this is not acceptable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was okay apart from overdone bacon and very cheap sausages. It was advertised there was a bar, this shut at 8pm on a Saturday night, this was one of the reasons we chose here. We could have gone to Days Inn for the same price. We definitely won't be back again.

Fancied a fry up and had heard good things from friends who had been before , all good ,,quick service fantastic food will deffo be coming back.

Today I had breakfast at The Hollies with my family, and it was an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they recommended the apple crumble, which was absolutely delicious. The food was not only tasty but also great value for money. I highly recommend.

Bed was quite comfortable, and the only thing preventing me getting good sleep was the first alarm going of 5 times and the heat of the room. You have to give a room deposit on arrival of £20 that I wasn't expecting. The rooms really could do with a kettle. They have improved from last time and offered free coffee on arrival, but its not great. I was also not expecting the "private bathroom" to be shared with 5 rooms.... not quite private in my mind. Rooms are small but cheap and useful location. I probably won't stay there again myself, but if you are a trucker and want a stop and a shower, then it's all good. Food in the cafe was nice and a decent price

Quality value for breakfast, extremely pleasant service and food was fabulous, wasn't expecting too much from a truck stop but so much better than anticipated.
