A nice little cafe which seems very popular and looked like the breakfasts were especially popular. Staff very pleasant. We only had drinks and a "homemade cheese scone" - not sure it was homemade and really was not very good - a plain scone with a bit of cheese on the top. Noted that toasted tea cakes were £3, that's expensive.

We stumbled across this hidden gem while visiting the village. Instantly we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff who made every effort to clean the tables before seated. It was a popular breakfast stop for many but we opted for coffee and teacakes which came with lashings of butter. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. Will return

High hopes but unfortunately the experience was not what we expected. Cash only. Poor selection of cake/food on offer. Will go somewhere else next time

Charming, dog friendly cafe an easy detour off the M6. We had toasted panini, salad and very good chips. And excellent coffee. Really lovely staff. A million times better than a soulless motorway services stop.

All I can say is this was the best breakfast I have ever had . I’m a tradesman and I’ve been in a lot of places for breakfast this was the best breakfast bar none , quality ingredients and cooked to perfection .Thank you see you again SOON

Impromptu visit for a cup of tea. Ordered a bacon sandwich on a whim. Tea was delicious and the bacon sandwich was to die for. Lovely soft bread and a very generous portion of bacon. Only downside was that it is cash only, and we didn’t have any cash. Easily remedied by a short walk. Would definitely use again if we’re back in Penkridge. Added bonus was that they allowed us to take our dog in as well.

We had a very friendly welcome here and the coffee was excellent. The food looked good too. Ideal stop if you are on a narrow boat holiday passing Penkridge.

Travelling from S. Wales to Cheshire we chose to leave the M6 and seek out a cafe. We hit the jackpot, great food, and great service. Thank you.

Can't beat the breakfasts here. All local produce too. Staff are lovely. So lucky to have this place on our doorstep. Nice outside area at the back too.

Narrowboating along the Staffs & Worcs canal- Impromptu drop in whilst out walking the dogs and getting provisions. The cafe is tiny and had tables pre-booked but they could squeeze us in! The staff are amazingly friendly, the covid 19 safety measures were as good as I've seen anywhere and the eggs benedict tasted as good as they look .. we will definitely be back!

My wife and I had stopped over in Penkridge to meet some friends for dinner and the following morning called in at at Kaffiene for breakfast. The lovely lady who seved us otld us that the cafe had only just re-opned after lockdown, and had bben forced ot make changes to deals with the situation. Despite the above, Kaffiene had managed to create a lovely environment, with so much effort to make customers welcome. Our breakfast - my lifelong favourite doorstep bacon and tinned tomato sandwich, while my wife really enjoyed her scrambled eggs and sourdough - was delicious, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the cafe itself, even with Covid-area changes was lovely. I can only wish Kaffiene the success its owners and staff deserve, and I only regret that living in London we can't drop in regularly. Unreservedly recommended. If I oculd give it six out of five I would.

I love this cafe... called in today for breakfast I usually do when in Penkridge. Thrilled to find the food as delicious as always, and particularly impressed with all the hygiene/social distancing measures that have been put into place. Other cafes/restaurants could learn a lot from them. Loved the little hand sanitisers on every table. This is by far the best eating place I have been to since easing of lockdown. Well done!

Dropped in here for a coffee ended up sampling their victoria sponge which was fabulous. Lovely staff, nice ambiance, recommended

What a lovely vintage decorated smart cafe with lovely staff! I only went to have a coffee and this was at the end of a busy day but the staff were lovely and the small but homely place was a delight! Visit if you can!

I stopped by for a coffee and to step out of the heat. I'm glad this place was so close to my hotel. The beverage was good and even though it was hidden in a to go cup they took the time to throw in some latte art. Charming, clean, polite service.

Lovely full English breakfast and friendly staff. Good coffee too. It is a small restaurant, so you may not find a space during busy times, but worth the wait.

After searching for places that serve breakfast in Penkridge past 11:30 we were delighted to come across this lovely place that serves breakfast till 12pm! The ladies are lovely and the place has a fantastic modern vibe. The breakfasts were the best I’ve ever tasted and I certainly will be coming back very soon!

Called in for a quick coffee but ended up staying for over an hour. The staff were very friendly and even though we didn't eat this time the food looked delicious and very well presented. Another visit is definitely on the cards!

Warm, welcoming, clean, good food. Nice decor. Reasonably priced food. Spent a lovely hour , eating hot crumpets and tea cake,playing connect four with our 5 year old grandchild. Along with most of Penkridge they only accept cash.

I spontaneously visited Kaffeine with my partner at lunchtime hoping to have a full English breakfast. Upon noticing that they had finished serving breakfasts, we asked if we could still order and to our delight the staff more than accommodated us and cooked us two full English breakfasts. Both were delicious and hot. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning! Thank you.

Visited today with my husband and 8 month old baby. It was a lovely relaxed little place with friendly staff and customers. The regulars all seemed to know each other and were really helpful moving tables to fit us in with the push chair.The food was great, with good selection of breakfast and lunch time options. I would highly recommend as everyone made us feel very welcome.

We've been to this lovely little cafe a handful of times and it never fails to please. The food is freshly prepared, tasty and beautifully presented. The tables are clean and there are plenty of condiments etc... The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this lovely little place. If I lived closer I would visit much more often.

Passing by the aria we ended up in this cafe, will remember our stop for a long time. All dishes were freshly and expertly cooked, I asked my eggs Benedict to be made as vegetarian, and got bacon was replaced with mushrooms, really enjoyed it. From now on will always take a detour from M6 to visit this little cafe.

I have eaten here now a number of times for both breakfast and lunch. Absolutely beautiful food. The staff are fabulous and nothing is to much trouble (even when I’m being picky) Highly recommend.

I came here for sandwiches today. The bacon and sausages were burnt. They weren’t very good. Also, it cost nearly £15 for 3 sandwich’s. I was very disappointed. I had seen and heard good reviews about here too.

Lovely cafe, very nice interior and very smart. Only downside was the food. The last time I visited and had a strawberry milkshake, it was strawberry milk from the co-op next door, hoping that would of changed I opted for the homemade lasagna and chips. The side salad was lovely and so were the chips however, after witnessing the waitress rush outside and come back in clutching a Co-op lasagna in a silver tray it left a lot too be desired. I understand that running a small business can be stressful and time consuming but why advertise it as ‘homemade’. Other than that it was a lovely lunch out with friends.

Such a lovely welcoming cafe, I visited with my friends who were getting tattoos and everyone was so lovely, I had tea and a gingerbread man and both were perfect. I definitely want to go back and try the breakfast!

Met my in laws in Penkridge and had lunch here. Good selection on menu. Had to wait a while but when it arrived, it was worth it. Good value for money. Food nicely presented and pleasant surroundings.

Han sido entrar a Penkridge cada ahora y entonces por algunos años para el desayuno sobre tiempo que señaló que no Kaffeine un desayuno realmente bueno, y si no puede manejar un desayuno inglés completo, gran y tocino o sándwiches black pudding. Todo recién cocinado, así que tienes que permitir un poco de tiempo, pero la gente encantadora.

Desayuno sabroso y bien presentado esta mañana dio en el clavo! El café está muy bien decorado y lleno de carácter. El personal es muy amable y servicial.

Myself and my Mam were on a road trip from Penrith in Cumbria to Reading and decided to stop off for a quick lunch in a cafe rather than fast food. We found this little tea room on here (TripAdvisor) and thought we would take a look.Food was nice and hot, well served even though it took a while - staff weren't very attentive? However very impressed with one of the young waitresses who was very attentive and professional amongst the other staff. Chipped cup but we didn't want to say anything! I know how stressful this line of work is being a worker myself in catering. Was a good experience though!!

Always pop over on a Wednesday morning for a couple of breakfast sandwiches and they're beautiful! The staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Took a menu to put behind the bar at The Jockey.

As I work near Penkridge it is always very convenient to drive there & park at Co-op. The food is very nice there and the selection will satisfy even very fussy eaters - I think I may be one of them. It's worth calling the ladies first and order your food beforehand if you only have an hour for lunch. The portions are massive and they make sure no one leaves hungry :) lovely ladies serve your food in a very nice shabby chic surroundings.

Excellent takeaway sandwiches for the family. Especially on the crusty farmhouse loaf ! Would definitely recommend to all

What a lovely cafe with wonderful food. I'm guessing every local in Penkridge must have tried this at least once. Service was quick and friendly, food divine. Definitely on my list to revisit when I'm next in Penkridge! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Have been before but after visiting twice today first for coffee and later for tea must say how friendly the staff are. Nice place for drink and although we did not eat there the food being taken to other tables looked good. Will visit again.

Called for an early lunch around midday. The menus were all for breakfast. The only lunches were on the specials board. I ordered a coffee which took a long time to arrive. The vegetarian curry was ok.

Stopped here for breakfast, nice interior very clean and welcoming. The English breakfast was very good using local produce my partner had the British Brunch which she described as"scrummie" Staff nice and helpful, lovely cafe.

Lovely food in pleasant surroundings. Considering it was a midweek visit, ally he tables were full with people of all ages. Called ahead and thankfully they kept us a table. Will definitely be visiting again.

We came here on a really hot day for a sandwich and some chips. We had toasted panini and a BLT with fries on the side. The service is so friendly and welcoming and the food is really tasty.The cakes look delicious and my daughter had the strawberry meringue cake. The slice she was given was huge and she loved every bit of it.I would really recommend a visit to this cafe and the combo of attractive decor and tasty food make it a really lovely spot to while away some time.

On passing through this village making our journey cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End - we were warmly greeted by Mandy who invited us in out of the rain. She gave us towels and warm blankets and served us the most delicious lunch with such friendly service from herself and Jade and the lovely lady in the kitchen who's name I can't quite remember. We genuinely did not want to leave this place and will certainly return. The decor was quaint and unique, the food was outstanding and the staff were so nice to be around, they made our day. We also made it to Land's End on schedule and raised 4.5K for Cancer Research - will definitely try and visit this place again in the future.

Popped in here after going to the market on a Wednesday. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Had to wait for my friends mushroom omerlette for quite a while as it's cooked from fresh. I had the jacket potato with home-made chilli and salad, it was very tasty. Would highly recommend visiting here :)

Third times I've visited this cafe, sevices always been good and staff friendly. Was very busy which must speak for itself. Had great Fish Goujons and Chips. Cakes looked good but had to head off, maybe next visit.

Popped in on Saturday as we wanted to stay local while our pup had her first grooming session. Would definitely recommend the fish cakes. Lovely little cafe...will definitely visit again xx

Visited again today for brunch while on a business trip, all perfect,casual friendly, food & is always excellent. The only down side is sometimes the cafe is full and you cannot get a seat. If you are in the area go for a snack, breakfast ,brunch or lunch I hope you will enjoy as much as i do with friends. Always a constant high standard when I eaten there.

Being new to the area I decided to treat myself to lunch in this quaint little cafe whilst my partner was at work. It always seems busy so I was lucky to get a sofa table and was greeted by the hostsess promptly and offered a menu. Nice selection of food including paninis, jacket potatoes, cream tea and a dejection of other hot meals. Reasonable prices too. I had a New York brunch, which consisted of a bagel with scrambled egg and bacon and a pot of tea. Delicious. Nice buzz about the place. Will be coming back! Just be sure to arrive early, it closes at 3 and by 2 the kitchen had run out of several ingredients!!

One of the nicest places as very relaxed ,great for a meal snack or coffee tea ! as you feel very relaxed and the staff are very nice , the food is excellent as well as the coffee. Nothing is to much trouble. Have stopped here a few times and always the same great standards.

We came here from our narrowboat on the canal in search of a good breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Plenty of everything and the lady was happy to cater for our various fads. Reasonable prices but quite a small place and by the time we left it was full up. Our group visited many hostelries and restaurants during the week we were away but this place was memorable enough to warrant a review on tripadvisor.

I came off the canal on my bike in need of a hearty breakfast and was recommended this place by a local. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, piping hot and very good value at £5.25. Staff were lovely - a really good find!!

Popped in for a quick drink while waiting for daughter at hairdressers. Excellent espresso, nice cafe, good ambience. Will volunteer to drive her to hairdressers again!
