The Courtyard Bar And Restaurant in South Staffordshire

Visited The Elements Suite at the courtyard on Saturday and wow… SO stylish and sleek! Food was delicious, service was brilliant and everyone is so friendly and helpful! I cannot recommend the courtyard as an events venue if you are looking to celebrate!

Went for brunch today and was not disappointed. It has a cosy indoor area as well as a covered outdoor space. I ordered the all day breakfast which was top notch. Would recommend and will be returning

Staff are super friendly, food and coffee is lush. 1st time I went was for a Minitots event (for mums to meet other mums alike) which was brilliant. They looked after the event wonderfully, and were so friendly. They handled the influx of order really well. 2nd time I went was with a friend, and again it was lovely. Definitely my new place to go, and eat. I need to go back and have some lunch & a cocktail there next.

Very pleasant establishment near to my daughter’s beauty business. After the retail therapy we were peckish so we came here. Was quite busy considering it was a Monday. Lovely premises with plenty of room in between tables. The staff were quick to take our order for drinks and then we tried to decide what to have from the extensive menu. We noticed how large the portions were after glancing at a nearby table. Our food arrived quite quickly. The chinaware was lovely, everything matched. Plentiful portions for the price charged. Everything was freshly made and tasty. It’s our ‘go to’ place for lunch now. The toilets were clean and pleasant as I’m not one for visiting strange toilets.

It was our first time visiting this lovely venue for an events evening, the food and service was fantastic! Lovely evening had by all and we will definitely be back! Thank you.

Fabulous Psychic night last night Food was tasty and the psychic was very entertaining. I’ve never been to one before and didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and it was actually a good insight into how a medium works an audience. The restaurant is so classy but it’s also spotlessly clean and has great staff too.

Great and very reasonably priced breakfasts - lovely service. Conveniently placed from motorway and well worth a stop.

A hidden gem of an establishment hidden away on the outskirts of Penkridge. Went due to the Easter deal of kids eating for £2 and came away with a happy child and I have to say my food was excellent. The menu isn’t large, but what there is, is cooked well. The front of house staff (Maria) made us very welcome, and couldn’t have been more helpful. I will be returning.

First visit here & we like to try somewhere different but local if poss , then re-visit the places at the top of our list of good ones, where The Courtyard will be. The new setting is lovely, bright, clean, airy & decorated to a high standard. As we had booked the table was laid nicely with a carafe of water ready & waiting. The staff were pleasant & friendly, the service excellent & we all really enjoyed all the food , which we thought was great value too. Thanks Courtyard. 😁

We live pretty close to the Courtyard Bistro but didn’t realise it had opened in August - until now. What a great find! Lovely people, incredibly friendly. Food is very reasonably priced, service is great and the venue/surroundings are really nice. Highly recommended! Now we’ve found it we will definitely be back!

I had a light lunch which was served just as i'd wanted. The hot chocolate was a must and the customer service was very good.

The worst sandwich I have EVER eaten. Over a 20 minute wait to receive cold soggy food. Do not reccomend! Not value for money.

Really lovely and good value breakfast, all beautifully cooked. We had the small breakfast but was a generous portion. All delicious including the coffee. All set in a stylish, relaxed restaurant with lovely staff. Highly recommend!

Popped in this morning for breakfast, Leslie was very welcoming and took our order, no fuss. The food arrived hot and delicious and coffee was too. Many thanks to all concerned. Will definitely be back again. PS Lots to look forward to in the coming months, keep an eye out for forthcoming events.

Excellent lunch menu, really good value for money, I had soup and sandwich special 12-1pm and it was tasty and fresh. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the tables are wide and well set up. The menu offers a wide range of lunch items and also offers breakfast until 12. All the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely Building with a Real modern feel and the Food was Hot and Fresh. Will definitely keep going on my lunch break.

Working on the site and loosing the bistro accessibility I was thoroughly disappointed after receiving these atrocious dirty fries for a lunch break takeaway. Bring back the bistro!

Update 27th July 2023 - I understand that they are reopening in the next few weeks with an new management team focused on a more Bistro Style offering. I've tried some secret samples from the new Chef who is a real Kitchen God. They were varied, and tasty! On December 5th 2022 I popped in for a drink to check out this interesting new eatery and was very impressed with it all. It has a fantastic laid back ambiance and I will be returning later in December for a Meal with my Nearest and Dearest as the food I saw being served looked mouth watering. Today I went back for a Meal as I was tempted by the food and couldn't wait any longer to try it. I started with the Carrot and Honey Soup which was a lovely balance of slightly spicy and sweet without being overpowering either way; a difficult balance to achieve, my compliments to the skill of the Chefs This was followed by a Pasta Dish - Chicken and Pesto Pappardelle (done al dente). This came as a good large portion and was creamy and flavourful. I had this with sweet potato fries which unusually did not require any extra seasoning, they were just right. The fries defeated me, so I took them home to have for breakfast the next day so that I had room for a pudding. Pudding was a nice light and sharp Lemon sorbet. I so many other places they are either too soft, or like crushed ice with Lemon Flavour. This one was smooth and the right side of firm without being hard. I finished off with an Americano which had good Crema and was served in a nice big cup/mug. Outside they have a lovely courtyard which is currently decorated for Christmas and has some beautiful patio burners. As you would expect for a new Restaurant, it is a little quieter, so Id advise you to get a booking in as soon as you can before it becomes too hard to get a table. I heartily recommend this place for laid back comfy dining with good company, who I will be returning with soon :-)

We have eaten here before and it was nice and we were looking to come back. However, I am very disappointed. I had made a booking well in advance, a several weeks after I had made the booking I was asked to pay £90 (not made clear if this was the total amount or if it was a deposit?). Cut forward to today I have received an email off a third party company (Concordia Group Limited) saying my booking is cancelled as "the kitchen is unavailable" (???). Due to how close it is to the event its very difficult to find anywhere else to accommodate us and just to rub salt into the wound my £90 will be "refunded in due course" - what defines due course is anyone's guess. It's unlikely that we will return, if we can't make a booking in confidence and the Restaurant can't communicate any issues they may have then I would rather take my business elsewhere.

Lovely place, relaxing, wonderful staff and delicious food. Just a couple of niggles that made us mark experience down. Plates were cold, therefore made meat and roasted vegetables go cold quickly. Side vegetables and gravy were hot 👍 No spoon supplied for side vegetables. Cheese board, no cutlery supplied. Would definitely go back. Hopefully next time full marks.

Where to start, this is the second time I have visited The Courtyard. We visited in December and I have to say it was spot on, the service was great and the food was amazing. However 3 weeks later I don’t know what has gone on but it has certainly gone downhill. The lack of management was evident as all we saw was a young manager looking girl sat in the corner tapping away at her laptop looking reluctant to get involved in any part of the service, the two young girls waiting on us and the bar did an excellent job they just looked like a bit of support wouldn’t have hurt. What shocked us most was the difference in food, on our previous visit the food was piping hot well seasoned and the portions were spot on(my husband loved the duck cottage pie) I don’t know if the chef was taking the day off today or has just lost his passion but the whole experience has left a sour taste. The portion sizes were tiny the food was bland and Luke warm at best. Toby carvery it is next time I think. I think we will avoid this venue for the near future.

Lovely cosy restaurant that we have visited regularly since opening. A great team that always look after your on your visit. Sad to see on this particular visit a table that was purposely being difficult but the team handled it so well as I may have not been able to do so!!! Hats off to you all. First time having the Sunday Roast dinner and it was just delicious! We will continue to keep coming back :)

Visited this new restaurant 29/12/2022 after receiving a flyer in the village before Christmas. Whilst it’s a little out of the way, it’s a gem of a find with a cosy atmosphere and attentive service. Food was delicious with good value for money portion sizes. Penkridge needs more venues like this. Definitely worth a visit.

Exquisite food in a superb setting that's ideal for everything from a business meeting to a special occasion or a relaxed lunch with friends, this is a new treasure to discover in Staffordshire. The staff were also outstanding. If you're looking for a memorable place to grab some quality food that's worth talking about make a visit a priority.

Fantastic restaurant decorated to the highest standard. There is an amazing choice of vegetarian, meat & fish dishes. The puddings were delicious too. We went for a night out with friends but it would be excellent for a group/party or just a quiet meal as a couple. The covered Courtyard has gas burners & regular live music evenings. Highly recommended, we will return very soon.

Went in to check out and was chuffed with the meal and service provided. This really is a hidden gem and well worth the visit. Enjoyed it so much I popped back in for a couple beers after work.

I don't normally leave reviews, but just visited here for the 1st time, and will definitely be coming back. Me and my wife were both were impressed with the great service and really loved the food (so much so we tried each others lol). She espwcially liked the cocktails, and me the red wine. What more can I say about this hidden gem!

Took interest in the recent FB posting & went for lunch with my wife today. What a find. Beautiful, multi-purpose venue - the restaurant area has excellent, tasteful vibe (and walking up I actually ‘wow’d’ at the heated patio area), attentive and naturally friendly staff, truly excellent food. Will 100% be a regular. It’s got my brain ticking for corporate and family do’s too. It’s that good 👍🏻

Well what can I say . First time dinning at the restaurant. we were greeted by friendly staff who took our coats when we first arrived. We were then shown to our table by the friendly waitress who couldn't do enough for us . The food was amazing from starters through to deserts. So well done to the chefs . And as for the restaurant itself it's stunning. The staff are so friendly. Myself and my husband will definitely be dinning here again .

First time here with my family food was lovey service was slower than Iiked. There was a bar area too though where workmen were sitting and said the odd swear word with our two younger kids present not loud bit shouldn’t have happened. Overall good but need to decide if restaurant or bar area for people finishing work.

What a gorgeous new restaurant to Penkridge and Stafford area!!! The restaurant and outdoor heated area is so beautiful! Our meal was faultless and the team couldn’t do enough to make sure we were looked after. We will be back guys and best of look with the new venture :)

My Wife and I have just visited the Courtyard Restaurant which has just opened. I'm glad we did. The highlight for me was the Steak and my wife loved the Sticky pork 'Lolipops'. I thought the atmosphere was nice and the team there, while new, were pretty much on top of things - very friendly. I visit the area occasionally and have usually had dinner at the pub in Dunston - it's nice but this is my new favorite. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Visited here on opening evening, was an excellent evening, food and cocktails were delicious, all the staff welcoming and attentive, would definitely recommend, can't wait to return 🙂

Went to this new Restaurant on the opening evening out of curiosity, WOW !!! A beautiful looking and superbly decked out place with very friendly staff, special mention for Jamie our waiter who was excellent. Food was also fab, looking forward to returning soon. If you get the chance then go along and have a fantastic evening as we all did.

This is such a lovely place. The setting is amazing. All of the staff were awesome! They were so friendly and attentive, always checking up on our table. The only negative thing is the location. I found it hard to find to park and also...
