Absolutely brilliant my sister lives in the village so this is her local. I had lasagne and chips great but thechips were to die for soft an the nside and crispy on the outside if the chef doesn't tell me how he cooks them I will kidnap him. Dave the host with the mostest

Had the most amazing Jacket potato with cheesy leeks and bacon here a few months back. Could not wait to come and have it again. Sorry to say very disappointed today. Could not taste any cheese in the cheesy leeks and the portion of bacon vastly reduced. All in all very bland and tasteless.

Superb crepe and croque monsieur today! Have often passed by and thought it looked nice but finally stopped! Was not disappointed! The waitress was polite and efficient and helped make the whole experience an enjoyable one! We will return!

Everyone is friendly such a good pub very walm and welcoming. Not to expensive for the drinks.good pool table. It has a good dart board. You can play skittles here if you want

Superb friendly new owners and Menu. Wonderful smell from charcoal cooking and all very fresh. They are clearly finding their feet with a new venture so some patience is necessary but the Timothy Taylor Ale was best beer for MILES around so no great hardship Been here twice in a week. A busy Friday evening with friends then an almost deserted lunchtime visit with business colleague. In all have tried 6 dishes between us So much better than expected. WELL DONE

A pleasant pub to visit if you are passing by for a good drink, light snacks and feel welcomed. There is no push and shove to get out of the pub by the landlord, if you are not ordering a new drink every ten minutes. Relaxing and fair-priced drinks.

Fab food, warm plate, good portion, lovely atmosphere and well priced. Drinks well priced. Friendly staff and dog friendly.

Quite busy, which isn't a bad thing. At the time of booking, wheelchair access was requested, but it may have been overlooked. The staff resolved it by moving 2 tables to accommodate 8 guests. To be honest, it's a bit tight for 2 wheelchair users to move around, and there are steps to different levels, so the choices of eating areas are quite restricted. Food ordering is QR code and smart app. The carvery was simple and tasty, reasonably good choice of vegetables. Desserts were good, and the table service was fine. The accessibility for the toilet (singular) wasn't the best. The wheelchair had to be left in the hallway because there was no room for the chair and user to be in there at the same time. Pricing was about average. Might be a while before I go back, but I probably will at some point in the future.

Amazing Sunday roast and nice beer.

6 of us arrived for dinner tonight to celebrate my moms 86th birthday.From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not fault the service provided. The ladies were very attentive without being intrusive. The food was wonderful. Mom who normally eats like a bird ate more tonight than I have seen her eat in a long time. She chose the steak and chicken which was cooked to perfection. Mom likes her steak rare and it was perfect and she said the chicken was lovely and moist so she ate almost all of it. The children loved their food too will definitely be back

Fab breakfast at the Shoulder of Mutton - always a favourite if I'm in the area.

Hemos estado aquí varias veces, y es todo lo que un pub de campo debe ser. La comida es casera - cocinado, sabroso y generoso en tamaño de porción. Apreciamos especialmente la elección de platos vegetales. El entorno es muy cómodo, y todo está impecablemente limpio y ordenado. El personal es amable también.
