On a Saturday morning in England there's no better way to start your day than with a traditional Full English breakfast. And by far the best I've had recently was last Saturday at The Shilton Arms. Their small portion was perfectly adequate for me; bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, tomato, hash brown & toast. Everything was freshly cooked and very tasty.

I have just been in for breakfast. Excellent service and a delicious full English. If you have a coffee, then you get one free refill as well. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you

Food was very good and service friendly and polite. Atmosphere was ok but we were the last to leave and it was not very late. We had to wait a long time for food, staff did apologise. Seemed a little bit expensive.

Excellent meals hot and tasty, quite well priced. Went at lunchtime, and found we were only ones in there. Lad that served us very pleasant and more than happy to give us time and space to eat. Pub itself is very clean and tidy inside. Ample parking and a play / function area that leads down to the canal. Overall lovely pub.

The Breakfast Club enjoyed a lovely breakfast Saturday morning. We’ve visited over 40 different establishments and would rate this in the top 3. We’ll definitely be back👍. The large breakfast didn’t disappear 😋

The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. The size of plate was perfect, a perfect place for a Sunday lunch.

Just got home from a lovely meal from the Shilton arms. Booked a table over the phone and the lady was absolutely lovely, and then when we arrived the man was also so lovely. The food was super fresh and hot, and all 6 of us enjoyed every mouthful. Generous portion sizes, quick service and great tunes. Will absolutely be coming back again soon!

We had a sandwich and a drink and it was excellent and the service was excellent enjoyed it and will be going back.

The Sunday roast is very tasty and have locally sourced ingredients. Had roast beef yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings. Definitely worth the visit

The food at this venue is absolutely amazing, home cooked with quality ingredients. Staff are friendly and make sure everything is ok for you, I highly recommend it if you like quality, definitely come back here 👍

Visited on Wednesday, few people there when we arrived and it quickly filled up. Good atmosphere. Service was good and allowed lots of time between courses. Fod was impressive. My starter of goats cheese and mushroom was lovely and my partner had the super sized pigs in blanket with a mustard sauce. Two good sized Cumberland Sausages wrapped in bacon which was part of the Christmas menu. Partner thought they were really tasty. For main I had the half rack of ribs, skinny fries, coleslaw and chicken coated in a KFCesque batter all of which were delicious. Partner had a cheeseburger and chunky chips which was excellent. The owners also own the Rose and Castle which is equally as good. Prices are reasonable, thoroughly recommend. Had a very enjoyable evening.

Excellent food and service , six adults attended and we all ordered different food every meal was excellent with no complaints from the group.

If we want to go somewhere nice and quiet this is the place to go.

Turned up on spec with a party of 6. Luckily it was quiet. Only one person front of house but he was extremely patient and friendly. Going again tomorrow with my husband. I had the veggie curry amazing everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend

Best Sunday lunch we've had anywhere in a long time. Food was fresh and cooked to perfection, compliments to the chef! Table service was great to and staff polite and attentive. Atmosphere was good but a little loud for us with music and people combined but it won't stop us from eating here again. Highly recommended! H & D Smith

Great place to visit on a sunny day as they have a small outdoor seating area and nice staff. The food is good, but slightly over priced. There could be more vegetarian options for non-meat eaters. Great place to go if your into Sunday roasts.

Wide range of menu. Our meal’s were lovely. Good service especially as there was only one guy doing both the bar and waiting on the tables. A little gem of a pub for food, decor a bit dated wish it was my local.

Booked a table of 12 for a Christmas celebration and had a wonderful time! The staff could not have been more attentive, constantly keeping us topped up with drinks and condiments. Lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious, would definitely return and heartily recommend :) Thanks for having us

Got a puncture on my bike outside the pub on one of the coldest days of the year. I popped myself just inside the door and got myself all set. No grumbles from the staff and all very friendly. A lovely way to treat me in my 20mins of need - not all places would be so accommodating. Really appreciated, thank you!

Fantastic food the place was very quiet due to the world cup being on but they then told us they were closing at 9:30 which I could understand why. They could have told us that when we booked the table. But the food was amazing

1 March 2022. Good hot food again, just like last time! Good hot food, never had a bad meal here, love it and use it regularly! What else can I say? 11 Feb 2019 just been again had the best meal ever, Green Thai curry so so good. Stole chips too they were something else. Going back next week x. The services is not slow but it not hyper quick. They serve good food that is good to wait for, but we only waited 12 minutes for our first course .... Cannot moan at that, any faster its rushed, you don't go to this restaurant for quick you go to enjoy very good food.

Sunday lunch was pretty good, with a good size plate, nice Yorkshires and tasty meat. The roast potatoes didn't quite hit the spot and they had a number of beer taps unavailable at the time. The sticky toffee pudding & crumble are the way to go for dessert; the Christmas pudding portion is comically small, the sticky toffee pudding is at least 4x the size. The beer garden area looks pretty exciting, but we didn't spend any time out there during this visit. It's a nice little spot for lunch, great service and plenty of people about, would certainly give it another shot!

Went to The Shilton Arms on a Thursday when they opened at noon. I brought my brother who lives in the states and he couldn't believe the variety of food on the menu. The service was fantastic and the food was so filling we didn't have room for dessert! (We did have have coffees and Cappuccinos) We were there about an hour and a quarter, and by the time we left the place was filling up quickly. I definitely recommend eating here! And call in advance would be a good idea.

The member of staff was great but the food was very bland and expensive. Salmon and a basic salad , Duck and noodles both very tasteless and about £15 approx

Very good local pub. Homely feel inside, aided by very friendly and helpful staff. The food was also very tasty (the cheese sauce with the steak was amazing in particular) and filling and the steak was done perfectly. There is also a good selection of drinks and specials.

Over the top price for sunday lunch not much difference in size for small and large meal only difference was 2new potatoes and 2 roast instead of 1 of each was nice

Stopped off on a journey and had a fabulous meal. The service was very friendly and attentive, there's a massive choice on the menu and our food was delicious. Portions are huge, so choose wisely!

2 of us had Lasagne,it was not nice,the onions were raw the mince and sauce tasteless and it was topped with cheddar Awful frozen chips not homemade as we would have expected for the price. Gammon was mediocre again with frozen chips And the salad was just rocket

Ordered a normal sunday meal, and only got the small meal which should have been £5 cheaper !!, and a chicken and stilton cheese meal, which was overpowering with the stilton and slightly salty.

Good service along with generous portions ensured that we all enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday lunch. We have not been disappointed each time that we come to the Shilton Arms and their sister establishment, just along the road , is equally as good. Need to be careful coming out of the car park at the Shilton Arms as it’s close to the main traffic lights in the village with some fast moving vehicles. They do possibly need to look into the drinks selection for children but otherwise a good choice for a nice hot meal.

Country public house in centre of village, good menu choice and food is good. Was surprised and very disappointed that cheaper lunch menu had been withdrawn, so a reasonably priced treat became an expensive lunch. Staff were careless with face mask wearing.
