Great friendly pub with good cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is o erall very yood though prices like most places have increased. Paid £19 for a mixed grill which was basically a cooked breakfast with peas and a very small steak. No chicken portion and steak only 4oz though have to say was cooked beautifully . One of party had his usual liver and mash though we could see gravy looked a bit congealed and not the dark lovely usual. We gave feedback to Mike behind bar but don't think he believed us or wanted to accept any feedback that was slightly negative though to be fair he did say he was sorry if that was our opinion. Would return but bit more careful about what order.

Second time and still the best small restaurant around. Clean with a touch of charm. Caters for any age, and is certainly value for money.

Very friendly pub, we were on a weekend break in the area from Durham, karaoke was really good and everyone spoke to us or acknowledged us,reasonably priced drinks, we will definitely visit again 👌

Excellent place for a short stay clean comfortable rooms with everything you need. Friendly staff and an absolutely amazing breakfast. Amazing food as usual at The Crown in Wrinehill. Mark and the team are always friendly and attentive, making us feel really welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, perfect for a relaxed family meal out. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon.

We went for a mid afternoon meal, and had two lovely meals using the special offer that is on between 12.00 to 5.00. the fish and chips were really excellent. the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome - this was our first visit and we look forward to coming again.

Traditional local pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff...

We had some issues with our drinks and food. Normally this would be enough for a bad review however the lads behind the bar were helpful and understanding. One of the ladies from the kitchen also came out to speak to us about our issues and she was also ever so apologetic. We got our money back and a replacement for our drink. Also got offered a free drink that we chose to refuse. Probably won't come back for food but we will definitely pop back in for a drink as the staff were lovely when problems were addressed.

We called in here tonight for some food as a last minute choice and we were very happy with out experience. The staff were very polite and friendly from the moment we walked in. The pub was clean and tidy. We ordered the gammon and Scampi. Both meals came workin 20 minutes, both nice and hot. I'm very fussy with my Scampi so I'm always a little dubious when I order it in a pub but it was really lovely. The hubby's gammon was perfectly cooked too... the only remark he did make was he wished the meal had been a little bigger but we both really did enjoy our meals and would certainly return if we were in the area again.

Great little garden centre! Bought quite a few shrubs and find myself returning often as such good quality and thriving! Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Prices are very very reasonable, especially compared to other local centres. Great pot sale too with a great range.

Disappointing service for a birthday meal. I paid for balloons to be on the table, which they were, making it obvious to all staff we were celebrating. I was told by phone, that the birthday girl would receive a cheesecake slice with sparkler on… I’d also taken in a birthday cake, for them to present after our mains. We had starters and mains, which were all good, and then two other tables celebrating had their cheesecake/sparkler delivered- with people singing happy birthday…. We waited and waited, but ours didn’t arrive, no one came anywhere near to our table to ask if we wanted anything else. Most of our party didn’t know about the cheesecake or our cake we had taken in, and were ready to leave…I didn’t want to get up and ask at the desk as the birthday girl was sitting directly in line and would have seen me… Eventually my mum caught the attention of our waiter, and asked about the cake… He brought out the cake with a sparkler on - no cheesecake for the birthday girl- no big deal, but was expecting it, as I had been told about it, and the other tables received there’s… I did mention that we had been forgotten about, when paying the bill, they doubled checked they had our information about celebrating and apologised. The balloons were £9.95, and were completely deflated by the morning, so I think poor value. I was asked for a review later via email, and gave my review, and was told they would have a meeting to see how they could improve.
