They did a fabulous buffet for our son’s wake it was great food. The team there did a fantastic job and the service was great.

We've always used the Brit, and the food has always been hit and miss when we went, but we enjoyed it...... since the takeover....it's sooooo much better!! Everything is hot, tastes amazing and presented nicely. The staff are really nice and always come to say hello and interact with our children. The new chef is lovely and even comes to say hi to the customers and makes the effort to get to know you. I'm also loving the new look. It's super cozy and warm. If you've avoided the place before, definitely go back and see what's changed. Keep it up guys. You're smashing it!

Thank you to the staff! We came here with my grandad for his 81st British and we ate off the normal menu and the seniors menu. Food was great. Staff were great. Especially Gav and Soph, they brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. Would recommend. 💯

I had a fantastic pie and chips meal which was very tasty, the Abbot beer was perfect and the staff was friendly. I had never been here before but I didn't feel awkward as everyone was just getting on with their lives and all seemed to be locals having a good time. Would definitely visit again.

This is my local pub and I bloody love it. The pints are amazing never usually have food here but had a breakfast here was really good and atmosphere was amazing. Staff where really helpful and just an overall great place to come.

Visited here with a group of old friends for some drinks and food. This was our first visit since the new manager took over. What a lovely lady she is. Our food was absolutely delicious, picture perfect. The drinks were absolutely lovely. The drink selection is more than you could ever expect from such a humble little pub. We will all definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the staff for such a lovely experience.

Had a lovely meal here last week with my son. Staff are always smiling and nothing is to much trouble for them. The very best place to call in for a bite to eat . Couldn't fault it at all

Popped in one evening for some food with my family, I’ve heard some negative thing about the pub, but it’s a lovely welcoming place! Welcomed as we walked in by the staff behind the bar showing us to our table. Food and drinks were lovely, really enjoyed ourselves. Will be back again soon!

I used to come here regular when I worked nearby as we would have an hour for lunch , the food was always brilliant. Today I’ve been back and what’s happened , the steak & onion sandwich- the steak was cooked to perfection, that’s the good bit , the bloomer bread , sticks to the roof of your mouth , I ended up taking the steak out , the side orders , 2 corn on the cobs they where Luke warm around the outside ( that the butter provided didn’t even melt) and still cold in the middle , the onion rings came out soggy and anaemic , my daughters chicken skewers again were just warm. The cost of the meal and drinks were reasonable , but when the foods either Luke warm or just cooked then it’s not worth going again , you need to start probing your food before sending it out , and also if it looks half cooked don’t send it out , cook it correctly

Stopped of again here after we had a great night here before xmas for a friends birthday, sorry to say wasn’t the same the old manager has left and now seems to be more of a youth club behind the bar and staff more interested in chatting and larking about place was quiet so you would expect the staff to be more attentive to the people they had in than playing on phones, ciggerette butts lined the steps and ramp going into the building tables not cleaned regular and to be honest place looks like it could do with a good clean. This is a shame as a place like this should be busy but it’s not fingers crossed it picks up again with the right management once they are found

Came in for a meal with my friends it was delicious piping hot and a great service. The atmosphere was definitely better since the old landlord has left massive well done to all the staff on turning this pub around.

Discusting. Toilets Dirty and unacceptable for a Public house that serves food, we actually came in for food but I believe if you cant keep the communal area clean then there is little hope of the kitchen area!. We came on a Saturday night and ended up going to the Potters Wheel further down the road, this all led to a rather stressful meeting. Female member of staff that served us drinks was rather rude and unhelpful which did not help the situation. This establishment would benefit greatly from a refurbishment. Otherwise myself and collegues will not return. Unfortunate as it would seem to have potential.

Its just an average pub dinner, don't be expecting the ritz when you go to a local pub so don't expect it here.

Called in the " Brit " yesterday On special ( Monday & Tuesday ) ..2 ..7oz steaks with chips mushroom .onion rings . .peas ! The order took less than 15 mins & cooked to perfection ..for just £11 !! We will be back ...lovely staff too ..Thanks team

We have visited many times and enjoyed the food but the wait is excessive. For simple for forty five minutes is too long, people who come in after us seem to get served first. A little organisation and it would be a first class pub!
