I would like to thank julie and Anna for doing my mums wake following her funeral Christine camball (meadon ) the food was hot buffet and other foods excellent cakes fresh everything was excellent julie and Anna did my mum proud if you want a place for buffet or party give them a try you won't be dissapointed

Great no frills pub, good selection of drinks. Top tunes on the jukebox.

Can’t rate the food as I didn’t eat there but bar staff friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, warm friendly and inviting.

Called in yesterday with a friend as not been in for many years to see Cheryl the landlady was really pleased nice cosy atmosphere lovely drink at reasonable price will definitely be calling again

Just called in after a spot of fishing and it was like I was a regular. The landlady was very friendly and the beer was 100% spot on, we were drinking Bass but there was a selection of other draught beers. What a find, will definitely use the pub again. 👍

Lovely spacious beer garden with plenty of seating on picnic tables and some separate outdoor furniture.. The bar staff did an excellent job serving everybody efficiently. There was live music in the garden when I visited. Interesting that a glass of coke cost more than a half pint of cider, but i rarely visit a pub and don't know if this is normal. A very pleasant afternoon.

Lovely beer garden and staff are amazing

We called here when picking someone up from nearby ,we only had drinks but very cold has gas was broke no Cole so no fire it could be nice but needs some attention. Will try again

A brilliant friendly pub worth a visit for sure

Good beers on the go, pool table and other pub related games and an amazing jukebox that has everything on it. Good to have a natter and listen to some good tunes. Takes me back.

Not a bad pub clean and spacious yes, and a nice bit of a dance floor and a beer garden, but at the end of the day who would serve a gin and tonic in a half pint beer glass really!!! Call me old fashioned but half a lager goes in one of those.

Had a lovely evening, very pet and child friendly, beautiful beer garden. Will be back soon x

A proper pub. Not trying to be something it isn't but it's friendly and has a good atmosphere. Difficult to find pubs like this these days.

Nice traditional style pub with a restaurant serving some lovely food, albeit a restricted menu, hence the 4 stars.

Place needs updating. Poor quality of food ok to go for drinks. But place really needs a refurb.thanks

First visit here with my sister today. Eve is an awesome landlady, and Sam is great! Also met the lovely Gail too. Had the best chicken burger ever for lunch!!! :) Nice little pub with a friendly atmosphere, will be back very soon xx

We thought we'd give the Royal Oak another try after a long lay off. We had a really warm welcome from the new landlady and was happy with how cheap the drinks were. We ordered 2 lamb shank Sunday lunches and were surprised that it was 2 for £10. At that price I think we weren't expecting too much BUT we were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the meal was. We will be returning very soon. 😀👍
