It's roomy great value the staff are excellent,even when busy you get your meals quick

Food is not the best but ok for the price. Not managed very well as there were dirty tables.

We came for lunch. Used the app to order which was really easy. Lovely service from the staff. Enjoyed the food. Felt the dessert menu was a lacking fresh fruit or just ice cream. We just had coffees.

We had a great family meal with excellent customer service. I find the deals on the menu confusing and always need help from staff to be sure I make the best of them eg 2 classics for £11.99 can't be combined with kids eat for £1.00. Even though there was a large party group served ahead of us our food arrived very quickly.

We visited this evening as a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children. We really couldn't fault anything, the food was enjoyable and reasonably priced, food came out quite quickly even though it was very busy, staff were all helpful and friendly especially Calum who went above and beyond.

Went to meet friends for Christmas Eve. The food was good value for money, I was surprised the place was so empty! Everyone must be still shopping. Staff were very friendly and helpful, soon sorted an error out for us. Many thanks, and a Merry Christmas

Ben was very friendly and attentive. He always had a smile on his face. Food was great as always.

Called in for a meal after the cinema. Very little of substance on the menu, it's mainly snacks and burgers. Sevice was very good and staff were great, but the quality of the food was a let down.

Took my friend for lunch, nice young man showed us to our table, my friend slipped on the wooden floor on the way she bruised her wrist hip and pride, the young man was very attentive helped her up and offered to fill in a accident repirt how ever my friend insisted it was just her pride that was hurt and no need to fill in the form. We chose from the menu and i went to bar to order there was a que8 but the guy serving apologiised, we both ordered the ruddles pie food arrived quicker than expected as it was rather busy, it was delicious and piping hot only negative the peas were hard. The toilets to are up a rickety set of stairs but they were very clean i feel they may be a no go for anyone disabled i didnt see a lift, however this didn,t sway me from returning again, I must say the staff work very hard for their money the you g man i first mentioned was running around serving drinks to tables that looked like they were having party,s well done you should oay him a bonus wish i,d noted his name ,

Came here today with my family food was lovely and brilliant serve from the staff especially Mya she was lovely patient and very caring to all of us nothing was too much trouble for her she was wonderful.

Came here today with my partner food was Lovley really enjoyed the Sunday pub quiz.Mya was amazing and introduced the Greene king app to us explaining it’s an easier and quicker way to order our food and she stood with us to help guide us through how to use it, I would definitely recommend she was kind and patient will definitely be returning. :)

Considering we booked our food weeks ago . They didn't seem to know we had ( a table for approx 12 of us) then we had to wait 90 mins for our dried up awful Xmas meal

The pub is very tired and needs interior refurbishment, but overall the meal was very nice.

We have been for lunch today ordered 3 so called christmas dinners the food arrived stone cold the picture on the advert made it look very nice what we recieved certainly wasnt more like a microwave meal we have been to the cherry tree on many occasions but sorry this was really bad we even asked for 1 of the meals to be warmed up

Car park was not lit at all, very hazardous in the dark! We were a party of 4. Had to wait over an hour for the food, I had the Christmas dinner off the festive menu. It was disgusting. Veg was cold, sausage wrapped in bacon was burst to a crisp and was not edible. Gravy was that thick it would not come out the gravy boat, I had to spoon it out! Because we had waited for so long for our meal I did not return it but hardly ate any of my meal. Had we had know of the delay at time of ordering we would not have waited. We all ordered deserts, 3 of the party all got theirs and my friends desert got forgotten about and we had to chase, waitress openly admitted she had forgot about it and it was sat waiting in the kitchen to be bought out! Would not return.

Popped in for a swift drink before killing some time before a business meal.

Lovely clean restaurant. Very attentive staff who couldn't do enough for us. Good was fantasy, well priced and served very quickly.

Service was great and very patient. Food was amazing and an overall nice and friendly environment and would definitely recommend but one thing that stood out for me the most was how bright and good our waiters attitude was. Steak sizzler was fantastic.... couldn't decide between a carvery (toby) or a sizzler...(cherry tree) absolutely made the right decision.

Mya is a big credit to your team I will definitely be returning.

Megan, the team leader, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. She made sure our experience was nothing short of perfect, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy. One of if not the best mix grill I've ever tasted. Every single item was cooked to absolute perfection even the peas , And I'm very fussy with how I like my meat. Would highly recommend this venue for mix grill , gammon and steak . Literally has to be one of the most enjoyable and pleasant meals I have eaten in a long while. 👌🏼👍🏼😋⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went there Saturday evening. The food was awful, ordered the Garlic Mushrom starter which consisted of 6 mushrooms on a slice of shop bought garlic bread. Had the Jerk chicken and wings. The Jerk seasoning was just thrown onto the chicken in a dollop. Was definitely not a rub. The chicken looked uncooked, when we spoke to the waiter about this we were advised that it was definitely cooked as that is it was brought in already cooked,so was therefore had to be cooked and walked away. The rice that accompanied the meal was dry and inedible. The Chicken gougons looked like they were served in a dog bowl.Tables were left uncleaned. The most disgusting food we have ever had. A total waste of money. Will never go there again.

I popped on here for a drink as I had a few moments spare. It turned out to be two drinks. There’s a pleasant adults only bar at the back with two large screen televisions. Unfortunately it was one of those football free afternoons so I could not indulge in that. This is a typical Hungry Horse. The front dining area looked inviting. I was almost tempted to actually get some food to see what it was like. This is not gastropub dining in the country. It’s Newcastle Under Lyme, but if you’re in the area I can think of a lot worse places to be.

On Saturday a large group of us came for our Festive night out. A good time was had by all. The food was lovely and staff were very polite and helpful. A clean and welcoming environment with friendly staff and comfortable seating. The food is what you pay for, filling and tasty for a reasonable price so don't expect gourmet dining. The staff have a smile and are always happy to help. The app makes ordering quick and simple as there's no need to wait at the bar and forget what everyone wanted. Although we don't live local I'm glad that we stopped in for a bite and I'd recommend anyone else do the same. Sterling effort Cherry Tree 👍

Came on a Tuesday night, was nice and quiet… food was very nice. all in all a very good experience - would highly recommend!

Waited ages to be served for a drink when we first got there. Then where we were sat we could see into the kitchen part behind and could see the staff stood talking while others were waiting at the bar.

Great experience, it was quiet tonight but food was great the £1 meal for children on a Monday is perfect! My little boy made lots of mess I offered to clear up myself but the staff are more than happy to go above and beyond to help. We'll be back thank you :)

Georgia was fantastic. Only lost a star on the rating because the venue needs basic repairs (gents sinks, stairs handrail, and our table was beside a broken piece of plaster which flapped like a letterbox).

Excellent service. Food was hot, quick and really tasty. Calum and Georgina provided great service. Only negative was that we couldn't swap chips for Sweet Potato Fries

We visited last night for a last minute evening meal, we were served very quickly at the till by a very friendly female (didn't catch her name) the food came out pretty fast and we couldn't fault the starter or the main at all. We were served by a lovely guy called Patrick, he was very friendly, helpful,funny and couldn't do enough for us. We were very happy with everything and look forward to coming along again.
