Perfect place to relax and enjoy good food. Leek and potato soup excellent. New to Audley and glad I found a local place that serves good coffee and food.

After previous visits to this pub for food that was enjoyable we booked a table. On the telephone we were told it was a limited menu, we were thinking maybe they were having some work done in the kitchen or something. Going from steaks burgers all the usual pub food, we couldn't believe we had a choice of corned beef hash, lasagne or cottage pie and that was it. Decided to make the best of it, being hopeful it was going to be really special. Sadly special it was not, tiny portions, of microwaved food with a bit of green stuff added on the side. My guests we very elderly and super polite but we were so embarrassed. Pudding was two choices with either ice cream or custard which they had ran out of the day before, the Pudding was so dry and ice cream tasted very cheap, sad really. Running a business myself I do understand the pressures we are facing, but guys either do food properly or don't do it at all.

Went fir a meal, ordered drinks got a table, only to be told if you havent booked you cannot order food! Wouldnt have ordered the drinks.

My family and I visited The Boughey Arms recently not knowing what to expect. Good menu with blackboard specials all the food was delicious and very reasonably priced we would definitely return!

Booked a table for 6.30 and there was no one else eating, 2 of the meals ordered they had run out of and they also had run out of home cooked chips, my replacement meal was baked macaroni cheese which I'm pretty sure was Heinz, runny with a synthetic cheese taste. No member of staff came to check the food was ok so eventually I took it to the bar (after waiting for the guy behind the bar to stop vaping). I was offered a replacement but by that time my friends had finished eating and I didn't want to wait for something else to be probably microwaved. This used to be a good local pub to eat in but now I'd recommend everyone to avoid it as the new chefs skilled leave something to be desired in my opinion

We stopped one night before we moved away from the area and had a decent meal, that for the price represented rather good value. We both enjoyed it. The ingredients and quality of the meal are adequately reflected in the price and we couldn't complain about any aspect of the meal.

We visited this pub for lunch on the way back from the lakes and it was a great find. Their Sunday roasts were lovely, and large portions! Would definitely recommend, staff were all friendly and quick with service!

Our sons have been wanting ourselves & their grandparents, my parents, to try a meal at the Boughey since it re-opened in May, they rave about the food & the chips in particular. We decided to book in for Nan’s birthday meal over the weekend, grandparents have been shielding for 12 months & this was first meal out & very nervous given the current rise in Covid cases. The owners & the staff were absolutely amazing, they couldn’t do enough for them to make them feel as much as ease as possible. They really enjoyed it & the chips, especially the salt n pepper chips were as good as the lads said. Thank you to all the staff you were so lovely & we will definitely will be returning.

First visit with new owners but delighted that it's the former chef and his partner who have taken over and they are trying so hard with the covid restrictions. We felt perfectly safe and the food is excellent, in fact we dont think their steak and ale pie could be bettered anywhere and the fish and chips is also excellent. The best place in our locality for good pub grub. If you haven't tried it we highly recommend you do.

Well first time I have used the boughey arms for a meal and ING I was blown away how tasty the food actually was the chef is 100 percent spot on with all food and the waiting time is really good not long at all and the staff make you feel welcome and are really friendly I will defo be coming again so thank you Dan and Tara

Recently visited this pub for a meal with the family. Food was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend a visit. We will be back.

I visited the pub with my husband and parents, on the way to see family in Stoke. Unfamiliar with the area, we briefly enquired via Google Maps and noted the Boughley Arms was en route with good reviews, so decided to pop in for Sunday Lunch. Unfortunately, not one of the four of us could eat our main meal. Two of us had starters which we’re ok considering the price, however the main meals were just horrendous. The lamb and beef were like mush/puréed; not sliced as you would normally expect for a pub roast dinner. The taste was awful and left the four of us leaving there hungry and very dissatisfied, as we were unable to eat the meat Subsequently, we all felt unwell that evening. My mother did enquire how the meat was cooked and whilst the barman said he would enquire, he did go to the kitchen before returning to the bar but did not engage with an answer. Needless to say we will never eat here again!!!!

Parked in the street a bit lower down. No parking restrictions so that was good. Restaurant on left as you go in. Was busy and bar looked busy too. Food and drinks were fine. Staff were pleasant. Generous portions. Had wine menu. Place was quite clean. When we went over the bill later on the way home we couldnt understand why it was higher than we expected. We knew what each item cost but as receipt wasnt itemized were unable to account for the extra cost unless they are charging around £6 for a cider. As no drink menu (apart from the wine menu) we dont know. Wish we had realised before we left.

Fantastic place not far away and I'm gutted I've only just found it, fab food with real chips and a good choice.

Paramos para comer un bocado en el camino de vuelta de los lagos. La parte positiva es que el personal era muy agradable y servicial, sin embargo la comida era pésima, pan duro, patatas mal cocidas y verduras. El domingo carvery aquí es normalmente preciosa y una excelente relación calidad-precio pero no probamos, ya que el pub ha cambiado de manos así que decidimos ir el domingo pasado pero por desgracia, aún no hemos probado, ya que cuando llegamos allí, a tan sólo 5 de la tarde, se nos informó la comida había sido poner porque había sido tranquila. Muy decepcionante y no creo que deberían anuncian que sirven comida hasta las 6:00 pm. Si esto no es necesariamente el caso. El personal del bar parecía confundido por la cuestión de si también sirve comida y otro miembro del equipo llegó desde el bar de explicar, bastante repentinamente, que no había ninguno. Sugeriría que los equipos son totalmente informados al menos son capaces de explicar adecuadamente a los clientes. allí se atreven a probarlo pero hará que sea lo suficientemente temprano que trajeran a comer algo. Visitamos por primera vez ayer una comida de 2 platos para 2 inc 2 bebidas era £15 cada uno así que es bastante razonable. Las porciones no eran enormes, pero estábamos llenos al final. El personal incluso nos las arreglamos para ofrecer salsa vegetariana para ir con tarta del día así que me quedé muy impresionado con eso. El personal del bar es amable y dispuesto a pasarlo bien con usted. Hablan tot él clientes habituales por nombre y obviamente conseguir realmente bien con ellos. El pub es un poco viejas pero es un edificio antiguo y peculiar.

Local para nosotros, hemos comido antes aquí y fue muy agradable, aunque habíamos visto algunas críticas negativas, que había puesto en marcha atrás. Sin embargo, después de ir a uno de la comedia noches recientemente, que disfrutamos mucho, decidimos darle otra oportunidad. Fue noche de Steak & pedimos dos solomillos, éstas fueron cocinadas exactamente cómo nos preguntamos y la comida era excelente. El barman también era muy educado y servicial, un crédito para sus empleadores. Tuvimos una comida en otro pub semana pasada que también era muy bonito, (brazos gresley) fue tan agradable y el bistec era mejor. Aunque el pub en sí era bastante tranquila para el viernes por la noche en comparación con gresley estamos demasiado. Si como a nosotros nos desanimen algunos comentarios, darle otra prueba, no cabe duda de que comer aquí.

We have eaten here in the past and the food was good, however tonights experience when we attended the Boughey Arms quiz night was nothing short of appalling, We arrived and some tables were occupied with diners, four or five tables large and small all were displaying "Reserved" notices. Strange we thought never seen this before at 8,30 in the evening surley every table in the lounge cannot be occupied with diners at this time??

Really enjoyed our visit, the food was lovely and well serviced. We were made to feel very welcome. Recommended.

We visited the bough arms for Xmas meal with our family, what a dissapointment the quality of the food was bad mostly tinned, the service was very bad, the meals mixed up, we were not offered tea or coffee. Never again. Terrible.

I've eaten here a few times now and the food is always lovely. On this occasion I had the Hunters Chicken and it was cooked wonderfully! The staff are also always really friendly and the pubs decor is not displeasing. A nice little pub :)

Llamado para una bebida un par de noches atrás sábado fuera en la terraza. Las mesas y sillas podrían haber hecho una buena sesión de quitar la y aves de tierra caca! Las bandejas de cenizas eran también rebosante - como un carretero ninguno me pareció más ofensiva, todo el lugar necesita trabajo importante y actualizar mi consejo es que uses tu ropa vieja de jardinería si sentados afuera

No había estado en este pub durante años y había oído algunas malas críticas sobre la comida así que estaba un poco preocupado, pero no había necesidad de preocuparse. Teníamos hamburguesas, que era el mejor que he probado, papas fritas y una ensalada. No hacen un menú para niños, pero no ofrecen las principales comidas, en una pequeña parte para los niños. Mis 6 años había pescado y papas fritas y la pasta era demasiado grasientos para su gusto, pero ella le encantó el pescado. Hay que esperar algún estado de críticas, pero no me importó. Es un ambiente muy relajado y la oliva, pan y aceite nos dieron con felicitaciones sin duda ayudó. No hay pub gastrointestinal pero sin duda ofrece buena comida a precios razonables en un ambiente muy agradable.

Excelente comida, tuve la pierna de cordero, y puré colcannon frito con col crujientes. El cordero era cocinado a la perfección, el servicio era excelente, Jane y Fiona fueron muy atentos.

Después de leer las críticas de aquí me esperaba una buena experiencia, sin embargo nos fuimos con una sensación muy decepcionado. Este lugar podría ser una verdadera joya muy necesitada en la zona ... es un pub encantador buen ambiente y entretenimiento pero el servicio y conocimiento del equipo aquí era deficiente. Nuestra camarera claramente sabía nada vino ella tomó nuestra orden pero había olvidado por el tiempo llegó al bar unos diez metros. Ella nos pidieron 3 veces lo que era que habíamos pedido e incluso entonces el barman tuve que gritar para nosotros y preguntar si era una botella, una copa o dos copas. Comida estándar y la presentación también fue decepcionante ... gran bistec pero servido con un anillo de cebolla, champiñones y repollos que había sido spooned en el anillo de cebolla? La pasta en el y patatas fritas de pescado era pasada y los guisantes blandos parecía que había perdido en el calor. El aceite las patatas estaban cocinados en probado divertido y en general la comida, con la excepción de la carne no era genial. Este podría ser un buen lugar para ir y lo que nos apetece en el pueblo dada la falta de buenos lugares para ir con entretenimiento y a poca distancia de aquí, pero la comida y el servicio necesita a su juego. Te recomiendo la gestión y equipo para visitar la mano y trompeta Wrinehill para comprender lo que estoy hablando sobre ... ¡y trabajo en la industria y no sé si la comida y el servicio están en la cima de su juego y gente viajará a pagar ... así que venga en chicos vamos a poner este lugar en el mapa y darle la reputación que merece! Fantástico servicio entregado por entendido personal que sirve excelente comida que es lo que necesita! :)

Un grupo de cinco de nosotros comimos aquí un sábado por la noche y tuvimos una noche estupenda. El personal del bar son muy amables y acogedores y nada era una molestia para ellos. Tienen un nuevo chef y el menú y es una gran mejora. Tuve un filete de cadera que estaba cocinado a la perfección y servidos con una generosa porción de patatas rústicas caseras, ensaladas y verduras y con una presentación impecable. Otros miembros de nuestro grupo había lubina, lasaña y la hamburguesa y comida cada era magnífico. Nos alojamos durante toda la noche y nos entretuvo a due Paul Walker y Karen Phieffer magnífica. ¡Qué fantástico entretenimiento nocturno y las otras personas en el pub eran muy amables era como si todos los habitantes de la zona. en general, es un fantástico pub y un lugar estupendo para comer y entretenerse. Una de las mejores noches que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

Llamamos aquí ayer (domingo 23 de febrero) en alrededor de las 1 pm. Aparte de la pareja que desaparecieron cuando llegamos éramos las únicas personas en el pub entero. sábado en un comedor totalmente vacío pedimos nuestra comida que parecía llevar una edad para llegar ... pero ¡vale la pena esperar ... las hamburguesas estaban suculentos y deliciosa. yo opté por la carne asada ... no tenían ningún pudines Yorkshire así que conseguimos camas supletorias patatas. mejor comida de los domingos que he tenido en mucho tiempo! ¿Por qué no son personas allí en un domingo? Sin duda alguna otra vez! : -)

Hemos estado aquí encontramos unas cuantas veces y siempre la comida excelente. bien preparada y bien presentada. Tienen una excelente noche concurso los miércoles, que siempre está bien atendida, También hay una noche con música en vivo los sábados que ha convertido en algo muy buen talento. Llamado en aquí para un bocado del almuerzo una tarde entre semana y quedé muy impresionado. Buena selección de bebidas calientes con una máquina adecuada de café. No un menú enorme pero una variedad razonable y la comida en sí estaba muy bien presentado y muy sabroso. Sin duda llamar de nuevo si estoy en la zona.

Se trata de un prometedor pub Foody ya que tiene un nuevo joven chef. Nosotros pedimos las hamburguesas caseras y eran excelentes- suculentos y llena de sabor carne difusa. Estamos ansiosos por su nuevo menú como su chef es introducir una amplia variedad. Pruébalo, no te decepcionará.

Mi marido y yo hemos estado aquí para una bebida varias veces durante el verano - está bien pero podría hacer con más atención al detalle, los ceniceros en las terrazas en nuestra última visita se desbordaban, todo el lugar no le vendría mal una renovación y ordenada y los aseos podría ser mejor! no considera la posibilidad de comer aquí.
