Great friendly pub with good cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is o erall very yood though prices like most places have increased. Paid £19 for a mixed grill which was basically a cooked breakfast with peas and a very small steak. No chicken portion and steak only 4oz though have to say was cooked beautifully . One of party had his usual liver and mash though we could see gravy looked a bit congealed and not the dark lovely usual. We gave feedback to Mike behind bar but don't think he believed us or wanted to accept any feedback that was slightly negative though to be fair he did say he was sorry if that was our opinion. Would return but bit more careful about what order.

Had pre party drinks here at the recommendation of a family friend. First time I had been here, but it's not a bad place. Good real ale for me is a must and I wasn't disappointed. I'd go back......

We have always had a good meal from the Crown and the service and staff are both very good. A good selection of reasonably priced meals are available. You can't book a table in advance, but this can be a good thing if you fancy a meal out on the spur of the moment. Well worth a visit.

Having passed this place several times and it never being open we choose to go there for tea with the family. It had a good choice of ales and I went with the lemon dream pale which tasted fantastic but it went down far too easy. Food was a little slow but well worth it and understandable seeing as we arrived just as it opened to a bunch of people already waiting plus everything was cooked fresh. I ordered the lambs liver which was plentiful and possibly the best I've ever had - it came with a separate bowl of mash, green beans, carrots and cauliflower. My girlfriend ordered pork medallions which also came in a huge bowl with the same veg. There were no complaints across the party who all had decent sized meals. To finish it off I had a bakewell pudding (although it really didn't fit) and again there was a hearty slice with cream. The total bill for 3x mains, 2x puddings, a child's pudding, a portion of chips, 4 pints of ale, a coke and a cordial came to £67 which was more than worth it. The only disappointment was we forgot to tip but will make sure we do next time!!!

Excellent pub with very good food. Super-friendly owners and staff. The pub was busy and we had to wait for a table (you can't book) but we didn't wait long (10mins). The pub atmosphere was great, the owners and staff care about you and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and good value. Will definitely return.

this is one hell of a pub / food pub. food is served quickly, and is always piping hot. portions are very big. quick tip - don't order pudding until after your main meal as you probably won't have room for it. staff are always very friendly brilliant pub. you won't get better than this.

Once again, I return to the Crown Inn at Wrinehill and yes the food did not disappoint me. Car parking still problematic, but was able to park and again when leaving needed someone to guide me out. The service again was very good as was the standard of food. However, if you are expecting a traditional restaurant then this may not be place for you. There is no dining area and you eat at the pub tables. What I can say is the pub has a very good reputation, therefore if you wish to dine there, it is essential that you get there early as reservations are not taken.

Arrived intending to eat, not so busy... Waited at the bar and we were completely ignored whilst he stood chatting to his mate! Left after waiting for 10 minutes as we weren't even acknowledged! Will not be back as not keen on total ignorance!

Traditional old school English pub. Wide selection of real ales. Good varied menu, piri piri chicken is great (be warned it is HOT). A bit off the beaten track but worth the trip out of town.

We have visited this pub many times and it never fails to provide a high standard of home cooked food. There is a very good choice with some different dishes on offer. You may have to wait for a table as they do not take bookings, but the wait is not usually very long. The car park is a little tricky.

Had meal here on Sunday night, it was pretty busy, but managed to get a table. Staff very friendly, which is always a bonus. Food very good, large portions, a little pricey for pub grub. We had a steak, scampi & duck. 1 g&t, 1 coke, 1 lemonade and the bill was nearly £54 . Car park rather strange layout., but would probably go again, generally nice place.

I have eaten here for years and have been too, lazy to write. The food is good and side salads are one of the best around. Staff are really helpful and the decor cosy. The only downside is the parking - it can feel a little squashed.

a nice spot with good views over the local area ordered a steak that was so tough I couldn’t cut into it even with a steak knife left 80% of it as I couldn’t cut any more chunks off to try and it came with chips that looked ok but had not been blanced before being deep fried so i had to leave those to had decided to go on the basis of other reviews we were not expecting anything other than good basic food but left very dissapointed the items on the menu looked interesting with a good selection at reasonable prices but what we ate was fairly inedible, will not be going back

Have came up to this area for a few days and was looking for somewhere to go to grab breakfast or lunch. We found the place easily enough with the sat nav and when we drove in, there is a flag outside the main door saying GG's care now open. We went inside and were met by a very pleasant lady by the name of Pearl who tells us that the place doesn't open on a Monday. This is despite it saying on other sites, including their own that it's open 9am-2pm. Please update your information to save other people needless trips.

So delicious! Went in for brunch/late breakfast, we had double bacon, sausage&egg oatcakes. Cooked perfectly! My only downpoint is the seating area could of done with a mop of the floor. Returning very soon! A bonus point for the free chocolate pikelets!x

We booked for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The service was brilliant and the food was piping hot. My friend had the lamb shank and I went for the Turkey Sunday lunch! Neither of us were disappointed. The pudding was by far the best thing! I’m dairy intolerant and the vegan chocolate orange pudding and vegan custard was lush !
