Lovely clean rooms but let down by small detail.. Room and breakfast were included in the £112 price per night. At breakfast I was told that a cappuccino would be extra.. To me that was a complete management greedy mistake to spoil was was otherwise a decent stay. Molly did her job with great enthusiasm but ultimately that experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The Customer is always King, and to me the asking at breakfast for more money on top of an already paid breakfast for a cappuccino was petty and greedy by the company.. Rooms and cleanliness was 1st class but ultimately that tiny issue was the difference between first class and last class..

Went for an evening meal on 23rd February to celebrate my mum's birthday. Food was delicious. Look at for the offer on the steak night. I had seabass which was very tasty. We didn't have dessert on this occasion (although have done so on previous visits) as we had bought a birthday cake along. Well sort a visit. The pub is on the A30 in Milborne Port. Plenty of parking or there is parking nearby. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

Arrived at the cosy pub with a warm welcome from friendly staff. Saturday evening dinner with friends, ordered Bangers & Mash, Sirloin steak, Ham egg & chips followed by pudding......Delicious!! Popped in the following morning for a Full English, which was superb. We shall be back. Thank you.

Stopped for breakfast bap and drinkWe had one crispy bacon bap with ketchup I asked that the bacon be crispy, as last time not so much. This time plenty of bacon but alas, still not crispy. Makes for a chewy bap. Had a sausage and caramelised onion cheesy bap. The sausages were delicious, bap was well toasted cheesy taste not so nice, as faux cheesy bit not pleasant to my taste. Coffee v pleasant Did not have to wait an age so that is a plus. Thank you

Visited as a couple with 2 dogs. Lovely rooms with plenty of space, decent tele and comfy bed. St Agnes is a lovely little village with a great beach and bars surrounding. Breakfast is really good and breakfast staff were lovely, unfortunately the evening kitchen was closed but from a previous visit would definitely book for an evening meal again. Electric shower. Would definitely stay again.

Very poorly equipped accommodation, cold room, bathroom very outdated. No bathmat stiff old towels, little space to put anything. It said on advert that breakfast & a coffee machine was provided. No breakfast. One old tea bag in a jar. Only packet’s of coffee no decaf. You have to go to bar & ask for milk, which then stands out all night, some sugar in a bowl with no cover & no teaspoon. Bed reasonably comfortable, but imagine if it was winter would be cold. Tv had no remote control so you had to get out of bed to turn the volume up or down. Had to ask for a key to lock the room when we went out. Also when you leave in mornings, you have to let yourself out a side door. As the pub staff are not up till later!! Not worth £100!

There seems to be a bit of crossover here. There is The Lamb in Devizes and there is The Lamb in Urchfont. There are comments on here that mention both Lambs.

Called to make a booking of 8 people for a Christmas dinner, not only did was the person who was on the phone rude and slow to any response. He proceeded to leave the call to ask the Chef and respond with “we are unable to serve a table of that size”. How do they think they will succeed as a restaurant with that kind of attitude.

We always look forward to having Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips when we go to Bournemouth, as we are not local and there isn’t another branch near where we live. The food was great and good portions, fresh and hot. The only downside is there is no where to eat for people with mobility issues and there is no lift. We ended up having to pay extra to sit in and eat our meal even though it’s the same place, which was odd and there was either that or be attacked by the seagulls on the beachfront. I’m not sure if there are too many members of staff working in the kitchen and not enough in the cafe, as the member of staff was on their own and there were at least 6 people serving.
