Sunday roast was very nice and good value, staff were friendly. Definitely go back.

We went to Sunday carvery, 2 adults, 1 child and 2 big dogs. The service was excellent. The lady was so attentive and helped us a lot with service as we had the dogs and an adhd/asd child. Plenty of choice with the carvery. Unfortunately it was not very warm which is the only reason we didn't give 5 stars.

Delicious Sunday carvery! And excellent and friendly service. Found it randomly on our way back home from a weekend in Cornwall and we were beyond glad that we did!

An excellent valentines night dinner at the white horse tonight. Great value for money with a one, two or three course menu on offer at a very decent price. The food was excellent, particularly enjoyed the duck main course, the prawn starter and Eton mess dessert were also lovely. Very reasonably priced wine too, with decent cocktails also on offer. The lounge was decked out for the occasion and there was also a very good singer (Zoe Adele) doing cover versions of well known songs. Service was really good as always. An excellent evening all round. They are doing the same valentines offering on the 15th and 16th also, it’s highly recommended, book today!

First time visiting since changed hands. Had a lovely 3 course meal here this evening with my hubby for Valentines Day, the food was amazing, the customer service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, happy smiley people, we’ll definitely be back soon, Thankyou and see you soon ☺️

What a beautiful evening we had for valentines. From start to finish every thing was fantastic. The food was outstanding very nicely presented and toasted amazing . The atmosphere was just perfect with live music. They went all out with flowers wine and chocolates. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer place . Staff very accommodating and respectful

A very warm welcome on arrival from all the staff, to then be greeted by the owners Dan & Viki, of which adds a nice touch to running a good establishment. Our food was prompt and very good value for money. The pub overall seems to offer a happy family atmosphere, as well as catering for all ages, with the events they put on. Totally recommend a visit and definitely the food. Looking forward to the next we visit.

Plain "bad boy vegan burger" no sauce, cheese, salad just plain roll and a patty in the middle. They did explain it was the time of year. I was almost as embarrassed to be served it as he was giving me it. £15.95 absolutely blew my mind. Atmosphere was good there and the staff were nice so I couldn't bring myself to say anything at the time. I'd rather of not been served any food, in future - just say you haven't got anything in!

Service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing 👏. We had a Sunday carvery and was honestly the best we've had. The treacle tart with ice cream was delicious and they were kind enough to put my leftovers in a foil container. Will definitely revisit regularly and highly recommend 👌

A super place. Staff were so attentive and helpful. It was the first time we'd been to the White Horse and was chosen as a meet up place for family Sunday lunch. Great choice of meats and vegs, live music in the bar and smashing staff. The owners took the place on in May 2023 and deserve to do very well.

This place is wicked! Dan and viki go beyond and above! Unfortunately our christmas party venue had a fire and were cancelled on the Friday night for the Saturday night. Dan and viki saved the day massively by squeezing a party of 20 in for us. We were so pleased we went here over our original venue. Fabulous food, drinks and atmosphere. Cannot fault this place and their staff! Thankyou dan and viki!!

Once again visited pub for a few drinks. I was quite amazed how many people were vaping, it was that much it got to my throat. Not sure I’ll be visiting again, might have to go elsewhere from now on.

I had the vegan bean burger, points for it not being a fake meat one. the burger itself was not a bad burger, however it had been deep fried and was not cooked enough on the inside. there was also an unusual amount of carraway seeds on the outside of the burger which dominated the flavour. As you can see in my photo, the greenery provided with the burger was in my opinion the wrong option. a tomato or onions would have also been nice considering it was a £15 meal. the staff however were really friendly and the atmosphere was fairly pleasant.

We came here for their roast deal today and it was absolutely amazing only £25 (we came as a couple and they packed the remainder of the roast for us to take home as the platter feeds 3-5 people so we didn’t manage to finish it) would recommend this to anyone and will be coming back with my family. Staff are excellent and always checked to see if there was anything they could get us

Food is always amazing never a disappointment, staff really friendly and helpful, been with family of 5 today and had the sharing roast for £25 and did us all with 4 of us having an extra plate, even had the 7 year old telling Dan its loads better than another local, well worth it 👌 xx

We popped in here for a Sunday roast with my 86 year old mum for her birthday as it was a good location for us and dog friendly. We had a great time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was fun and buzzing and the food was really lovely and great value for money. Mum said that she couldn’t fault it, which is praise indeed if you know my mum! They had even provided treats for the dog which was a lovely touch. Please do pop in here if you’re in the area as you won’t be disappointed I’m sure.

Fantastic service for myself and family on Friday. We were staying in the area and were helped immensely with sorting out taxis so we could all enjoy a drink. Food was amazing, and very generous portion sizes. If we're ever in the area again we will not hesitate to come and visit again!

Came for the Wednesday chicken family roast while staying nearby. The meat was tender and the whole meal had great flavour. The staff and owner were very friendly and know their regular customers. This pub is calm and welcoming with great value as a bonus.

Had a lunchtime carvery for 10 adults,2 children and a baby. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Couldn't find fault at all. Would definitely recommend and return for another family celebration. Thank you.

What a great pub Dan and his Staff very friendly. Food was fantastic. Excellent service. We were working locally and this place was highly recommended by locals. We had the Rump Steak every evening as it was fantastic. But seeing all the other meals coming out it all was great. Friendly staff and Dan always made an effort to come and have a chat. Fabulous and great value Sunday carvery, all the food was spot on, but the roasties are a must. Very dog friendly, dogs are welcome in the bar and the staff make them feel very comfortable. The bar also welcomes well behaved hoomans and have a dining room especially for them if they are unlucky enough not to have dogs with them. If you are in the area give it a go!

We waited 15 minutes for the order to be taken, then 50 minutes for the order to be delivered. fortunately it was quite tasty. but I wouldn't come here again. the staff is polite.

Was in Launceston and was hungry so popped in for a large breakfast, it was great, a very good portion size with local foods! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a breakfast, one of the best in the area!

Googled nearest eatery and this place came up. Didn't look much from outside but once inside we were plesently surprised how nice it looked. We ordered bar food , took made our orders and got a drink .seated ourselves inside . Time passed and our food still hadn't arrived. My partner went to ask after 40minutes . When the food arrived the young lady was very apologetic over the wait . She put the plates down and hurried off.. We weren't surprised because the food was terrible. Burnt rolls and the chicken fillet was rock hard, pieces just crumbled . We called the waitress and showed her , again she was very apologetic and asked if there was anything else she could get us. It was late now so we said we'd just take our money back . Poor delivery and Absolutely no excuse for sending that out . We told our holiday host who was very interested as it turn out they are a food critic for the industry.

Mais après nous avoir donné des précisions sur le burger enfant et avoir pris commande et note de tous nos burger (enfants et adultes), la serveuse nous dit qu'en fait, ils n'ont plus de burger ! Stopped for some lunch on way home from Cornwall to Leeds. They had just stopped serving but kindly agreed to make something for us. Lovely food, great service and owner very welcoming and chatty. Told us about some local events.

Recently under new management thought we would come down and try the Sunday carvery. It was incredible. The meat was so tender, the roast potatoes crispy and the cauliflower cheese to die for. Dan and his staff are also all so lovely and welcoming. 10/10 will definitely come back again!

Had a meal with friends, part of our ptfa end of school get together. Chose the white horse as they had recently supported our school for our summer fair supplying a voucher very generous for a newly reopened business. I found the redecoration very refreshing had a nice feel to the atmosphere, the staff were just spot on for service not to in your face but also attentive. The food was lovely real nice pub food. We all had a really nice enjoyable evening, will definitely be returning. Thank you

Went for a evening meal with friends. Service was great our waitress was lovely friendly polite & helpful. The food was very tasty, I really enjoyed my BBQ pulled pork loaded fries. The atmosphere is lovely, the main drinks bar is separate to the restaurant side and although we could hear the open mike night from where we were sat the singing wasn't intrusive at all, and further into the restaurant you can't hear the bar noise at all. The new owners are doing a great job of bringing it back to being a family friendly place to eat and I'd happily return with my young children for Sunday lunch and definitely intend to soon.

The white horse has recently reopened and it was our first time visiting since, the staff are lovely, really friendly and bubbly, nice atmosphere and lovely food 😋 Both food and drink is reasonably priced and great selection and quality 😊 recommend a visit! There is good parking onsite.

Our visit was part of a post-lockdown trip to Cornwall and we went to the White Horse Inn for a meal with friends who live locally. There were 8 of us, however, a table was no problem and we were seated promptly with no issues.The pub itself is lovely, Covid-19 measures were being implemented very well and there was plenty of space to socially distance where needed.The service was great and the food was fantastic - clearly nothing frozen and everything cooked from scratch. Would definitely return here again!!:)

Had such a nice dinner tonight. Food was delicious, service fantastic. So welcomed after being in these times. We felt very safe, plenty of room to move around. The lounge and restaurant have undergone a fantastic refurbishment and its improved it massively. It was looking a little tired before but now it's been brought into the 21st century. The service is excellent, ambience is very good, food was very good, I can recommend both pork specials one with peppercorn sauce and one with mustard sauce. Also they have an excellent rioja on offer and by the glass too.prices are also very reasonable and its very good value.

Very good meal had between Xmas and New Year. Waitress very helpful and friendly and good food. If we had to make any comments, it would be could have done with a bit of 'pub atmosphere'. Overall very pleased and suitable for families

I Came in here a few months ago for a meal which wasn’t great but we decided to return last week and we are glad we did. It was great to see it was nice and busy and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. The food was superb I had the homemade fish pie on the special board which I would Definitely recommend as well as some very nice nachos and Brie wedges that we shared between us on the starters. We were served by a male and female waiter who were very friendly and made us feelVery welcome I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Wednesday is steak night and no-one had a bad word about the way theirs was cooked, i don't eat steak so had scampi and chips and had a massive portion of chips the scampi was tasty, our waiter was new and was wanting to please which he did well done

Just by chance we decided to call in and have supper. The Pub was fairly full but we did not have to wait for a table. Our waitress was very professional, giving advise on the menu and showing us the Pub Specials. The prices were really reasonable and there was a good variety of meat/Fish/Vegetarian options. Food was delicious and served piping hot. Our waitress made sure we were happy with our food and asked did we require any thing else. Attentive but not over bearing. We were so impressed. We will be using this Pub when our friends come down as they said they have a room where you can eat and the Dogs are Welcome as well as normal non dog restaurant.

Regularly go to the carvery here and never disappointed. Meat is cooked well and good variety of vegetables

Was pleasantly surprised by our family meal last night. All meals were extremely tasty and well presented. It was Wednesday steak night, which I would highly recommend. There were 7 in our party and three members had steak. All were enthused by their meal and in fact one actually commented it was the best steak she had ever had. Staff were friendly and extremely attentive. A lovely pub restaurant, with reasonable prices. Will definitely be back when I’m next in Launceston.

Completely dissatisfied, disappointed & thoroughly p*ssed off!!!! Travelled over 30 miles for steak night & they haven’t got the steak advertised wtf!!! It’s like going to an Indian & they haven’t got any curry! POOR!!

I have been to the white horse for the carvery a few times and have enjoyed it but when I came in a few weeks ago with my family that wasn’t the case. The restaurant was very quite there must of been about 2 or 3 tables in and we had to wait around 40 minutes for our food. I found the chicken to be very chewy and there was only one waiter on who spent more time around the bar than serving the customers who were eating. The waiter was very quiet and barely spoke to us and didn’t make us feel welcome at all. The bill for a round of drinks and 4 main courses came to around £80.00 which was very overpriced.

We are an extended family of up to ten people with ages ranging from 9 months to 63 years. Our eating preferences start from some solid food, picky eaters, vegetarian, vegetarian picky eaters, happy with most food, and ends with large appetites. In addition, we feature some who can't yet walk, others who can't walk without help and those who can't seem to sit still.

Congrats to Adam, Monika and their team, a phenomenal lunch once again, with 180 covers done in two hours!! Nothing was a rush, the food was tasty, and most of all the staff give you the welcome to want book again. It’ll be a definite from us for booking again.

Been down today for a sunday carvery with my family which includes my young sons, which often worries me taking them out for dinner! I can say the food was amazing. Very helpful welcoming staff and a very family friendly place to come for sunday roast. I will be back for sure! I would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed the offer of 2 meals for £12 and were pleasantly surprised at the quality, the presentation and that the amount was more than enough.

Ein sehr schönes, typisches eingerichtetes Pub mit einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich nahm die Lachspasta und meine Begleitung einen Burger. Beides schmeckte einfach köstlich. Immer wieder gerne, wenn ich mal wieder in der Gegend bin.

What a poor looking, shabby place. Women arguing and swearing at each other. This pub needs a good makeover and then it might get a better educated customer. The customers are as rough as the pub.

I have visited several times before and found it to be very enjoyable however my recent visit left me really frustrated.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good but not outstanding; reasonably priced and adequate portions.

Highly recommend by a trusted neighbour with excellent taste, excuse the pun, we went with great expectations and were not disappointed.

After waiting for 45 plus mins my burger turned up raw, I then waited 10mins before the staff came back to say they would do me a new one. Gave up after waiting 15mins.

4 of us ate there, the menu was varied and the prices are very good. The serving are very generous and were well presented, more importantly they all tasted just as good. The price for the 4 of us was very reasonable and the service was first class. There is a very good selection of beers & lagers and the ale is kept well. Recommended!

Called here on a sun evening for a meal. We were hoping to have a Sunday carvery but this is only served in the day time.

All the staff I met were very friendly and efficient - it isn't often these days that someone takes the trouble to show you to your room when you arrive! My room was clean and comfortable, and the smoked salmon & scrambled egg for breakfast spot on. Could not fault the place for the money. Highly recommended.

Good food, reasonably priced, staff were lovely. Went for our tea over 3 nights whilst staying at a b & b. Plenty of variety.

We booked a family table for evening meal. We were advised there was no mash which lessened the menu choices ‘sausage n mash’ ...’pie n mash’ etc..etc.. no lasagne beef or vegetable available, no apple pie available on a limited desert choice, Monday evening so not sure why these options were off the menu? The Chilli was so hot n spicy even the chef did not realise? The waitress was very nice and attentive but the meal was a huge disappointment, and this was after reading good reviews and why we decided to book. Not sure if was just a bad night for the Chef or if this is the norm...the food we had was very underwhelming and we all thought quite poor, shame as could do better. Would not return based on this visit I’m afraid.

Amazingly accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful waiting and bar staff. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for them - easily catering for ceoliacs and vegans, whilst also keeping kids happy with a varied and tasty pub menu. They even kindly transferred our reservation into the pub from the function room (?) so that we could watch the England / Sweden match after our food. It made for a perfect venue for our large family reunion. Many thanks to all the staff!

It was father's day and so took the hubby out for an evening meal. We got our drinks from the bar and our waitress took us to our table. We ordered our food and it came promptly. We had ordered 2 kids meals and asked for them not to hang on for us to finish our starters before the kids meals to arrive. Brilliant! There meals came with our starters. For mains we had 2 lasagnes and a mixed grill. Although we had a minor mishap with the mixed grill it was still delicious. (So daddy said). Our lasagne, in my opinion was slightly to tomatoe puréey. But was nice anyhow. Our food was proper piping hot. Which we was extremely pleased with. We will definitely be going again, and Daisy our waitress was fantastic. I even tipped her, but in amongst my change I found a old £1 coin, sorry Daisy. But moneys money. Lol. Definitely recommend to families. hope my review helps.
