The pizza that we ordered wasn't that great. The base was burned. But it's a good filing for 3 people.

A nice looking bar inside spoilt by really poor service. Didn't have my glasses with me and because it was dimly lit I asked the guy with the beard behind the bar which ones were his American IPA's as I was struggling to see. He just rudely grunted at me and pointed to the list on the wall saying they were on there. I said I was struggling with the lighting without my glasses and could he just point out which ones were the IPA's. Another grunted rude reply. Luckily someone else at the bar had heard the conversation and helped me out with a recommendation which turned out to be really nice beer. I know everyone can have a bad day but maybe not take that out on your customers. Shame really because the actual beer was really nice

Disappointing with my recent experience. While I had initially come to enjoy a meal and a drink, my visit was marred by poor service and an issue with your furniture. Due to an unstable table, my glass of wine was spilled through no fault of my own. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, your staff were unhelpful and insisted that I pay for another glass. This is completely unacceptable—customers should not be penalized for issues caused by the venue’s inadequate furnishings. The only redeeming factor of my visit was the quality of the food, but the lack of customer service and attentiveness from your staff left a lasting negative impression. I would expect a business to take responsibility for maintaining its furniture to prevent such incidents, and I find it disappointing that I was made to cover the cost of your establishment’s shortcomings. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address both the state of your tables and the attitude of your staff. I would appreciate a response on how you intend to rectify these issues. .

Jack was an absolute legend behind the bar! He made our night with his quick wit, infectious energy, and genuinely kind demeanor. Ordering drinks became a fun, interactive experience thanks to his humor and personality. Not only was he a master at crafting delicious drinks, but he also made everyone feel welcome and part of the fun. If you’re looking for great drinks and even better vibes, Jack is your guy. Liam runs an incredible team and knows how to create the perfect atmosphere. He’s clearly a top-notch manager who leads by example, ensuring everyone feels welcome and taken care of. The bar had such a great vibe, and it’s clear that Liam’s leadership plays a huge role in that. From the efficient service to the friendly staff, everything ran smoothly, and it made for an unforgettable night. Un bar en la planta baja, convertido de varias bodegas de techo de arco bajo. Hay un ascensor para personas con discapacidad, aunque los bancos largos y las pesadas mesas de madera son difíciles de mover para pasar una silla de ruedas. Una gran selección de cervezas artesanales a diferentes precios, sin embargo, las tres cervezas en barril eran excelentes, cervezas locales y de precio agudo, así que yo y un par de amigos nos quedamos en ellos durante la mayor parte de la noche. Solo parecía haber dos empleados trabajando toda la noche, lo que significaba una espera bastante larga en el bar a veces! Tampoco estaba del todo claro que no se podía pedir en la parte del 'barril' del bar, ya que el letrero que lo decía estaba girado en sentido contrario, por lo que no se podía ver cuando esperaba allí! Hubo algo de música 'jazz' más tarde, que era bastante fuerte, especialmente en el espacio cerrado de la bodega. La banda de 'jazz' tenía amplificadores y altavoces, lo que probablemente no era realmente necesario, y ciertamente no agregó nada a la atmósfera. En general, un buen lugar con una buena selección de cerveza, pero me imagino que puede ponerse muy ocupado y opresivo en las noches calurosas.

Only had one round of beers but if we had more time in Bristol we would have returned. Good range of beers with friendly, helpful staff. The downstairs is nice and airy, cosy with a range of seating to suit everyone. We did not have anything to eat as we had already met friends for lunch but pizzas coming from the kitchen look very tasty.

Nice place for drinks. We did not have any food but they have a nice selection of beers and ciders.

Admito que fue tranquilo para un sábado por la tarde, pero la persona del bar, Willem era muy brillante. Después de haber comenzado y tres turnos de trabajo en el local, era amable, sensible y sabía sus cosas. Viendo que era un día soleado de otoño, decidimos sentarnos afuera, pero la decoración y el ambiente general de abajo parecían un lugar en el que me gusta empaparme en una ocasión nocturna más concurrida. Pedimos dos pizzas que llegaron en 15 minutos. Base crujiente y buenos ingredientes. Muy asequible y mejor relación calidad-precio en comparación con su competidor, Renato's.

I went with a group of friends up from Burnham, on a Birthday Treat. Only ti find the building was the venue i had put on a fashionshow back in the 1980s. What a treat.🙂

Stopped in here for outdoor beers and was pleasantly surprised by the vaulted cellar inside. It was good weather, so there was no one inside, everyone outside enjoying Friday evening drinks.

Stopped in yesterday for a beer. Had plans to go elsewhere but had such a good time chatting with Lisa, that we cancelled our plans and stayed. Love their Belgian beer selection!

Cool bar - live jazz on a Saturday night which was ace

Expensive, loud as hell because of the bunker style cieling and waited an hour and a half for my food (which was a small margarita pizza)

Went in at about 6:30pm on a Friday, when it wasn’t particularly busy. Spent £20 on a single pint of beer and a pizza for one person, and nothing else. London prices! Then waited nearly an hour for the pizza to come. Other people on my table who had ordered a pizza 1-2 minutes before me received their pizza 20 minutes before me so had to eat whilst I watched so theirs didn’t get cold. The serving staff were useless and vague when I went and asked where my food was. The place also absolutely stinks of damp and toilers. I know it’s underground but still, it’s not particularly pleasant, especially when it feels like the smell is coming from the toilets inside the venue rather than anything else.

Great place! Staff lived talking about the beers! NB: phone reception can be weak inside, so organise meetups beforehand!

I like a craft beer the wife not so much. So this was a little treat for me. She wasn’t enjoying the music or the atmosphere much but got chatting to the bar man Elijah who was a credit to the place. Welcoming, engaging and win the wife over. Great selection as well of some of Bristol’s best breweries beers!

Great place for a drink. Love the underground atmosphere. Only drawback was they only had one cider on tap 😞

The Beer Emporium is always my recommendation to people who come for a drink in Bristol. The vibe of this place is really awesome and the alcohol is really nice!

Pleasant place with live music.

This was one of our favourite places in Bristol - stocks loads of Belgian beer (and advertises heavily that it does). But we were there at about 3pm on a Saturday, ordered a couple of bottles of Belgian beer and the response - the fridges are locked and my manager has gone away with the key so you'll have to wait. Well no, we'll take our business elsewhere. Utterly ridiculous that several hours into opening on a Saturday one of the key parts of the bar is still locked.

Had tables available on a Saturday afternoon, but still had a great atmosphere. Would have eaten here if we hadn't eaten already!

I really loved the chilled and relaxed vibe here, made it an enjoyable conversation and pint. Lots of choice in terms of drinks too so you can’t knock that. My inner student did cry with the prices but that’s something you just firm lol. Great establishment

Came in during a night out. Very expensive. Two spirits and mixers were £20. One shot of fireball whiskey was £4 and listed as a deal?! Jazz music played throughout our drink and was very loud; had to shout across the table. Had one drink and left. Will not be returning

Didn't even know this pub existed. Great pub with loads of beer and cider selection. Craft beers are very big in this place

For this place by accident, head into the basement for a decent selection of beers.

The venue is lovely. So much potential but significantly let down by its beers. I had 3, 2 tasted off. I couldn't reccomend it, it's such a shame. The plate was chipped, food wasn't great and the glasses stunk.

Chilled atmosphere on the inside absolutely amazing location. Pint of Thistly Cross was top notch and the spicy salami pizza has to be up there with the best pizza’s I have ever had! If you are visiting Bristol. Go to this place!

Unusual underground cellar location, very cosy. Getting very expensive though, over £6 for a session beer. As a result only stayed for one.

Friendly staff, great onsite brewed beers. New menu has some great winter warmers.

Probably the best range of beers going, certainly as good as anywhere I've seen. Nice cellar bar with some outside seating, though outdoor area gets very busy. Somewhere I always try to visit on a trip to Bristol.

Very atmospheric boozer. Lovely chilled out vibe. Whilst there is a bit of a cellar scent, damp and musty rather than anything particularly offensive, you tune it out after a minute or two. Bar staff are lovely and the range of beers is brilliant.

Very cool underground space with a well priced and tasty pizza. They were playing Elliot Smith when I was there, he did the soundtrack to Good Will Hunting. Great film, if you haven’t watched it then make sure you do.

Lovely underground bar. Very Belgian and a great selection ok beer including a great Belgian selection.

It is OK. I liked the underground mood the place offers. It is a great option of you are doing a PUB walk @ Kingstreet. The beer is all right, and all staff great. One of them you a picture of our group, and was really kind. Appreciated it. Cheers! 🍻

We visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon, but the staff were really friendly and the drink choice was good, we had pizza and mine was really good. The place is underground in like I guess a celler. It feels like a cave! The woodwork on the stair area is stunning

This place used to have a great vibe and a quality feel , when food was more prominant . However nowadays the place is tired , empty and it smells of the toilets. We walked in and the smell was strong across the other end of the bar ( and its a long bar) we did not stay to order , it is seriously that bad and someone needs to spend some money and sort this out .

Came in on Saturday night. Have been plenty of times before but found it disappointing this time. Not a single cask beer was on which I thought was really poor for a beer centred place. The prices also seem to be racing away in comparison to other bars with similar range of local/craft beer. A shame really. Think I'd go elsewhere next time.

One of the most unique spots serving a wide range of beers; a personal favourite of many years

Liked the atmosphere cosy and I enjoyed playing chess.very clean and the people are friendly.

Like the vibe here even the beer price is a bit expensive, but you can enjoy the local beer from Bristol brewery factory. The beer named “milk stout “and “ infinity “ are my favourite. 6.10£ a pine of stout. Next time I will definitely try their pizza cos it looks yummy.

Great beers, stunning surroundings. White pizza was amazing but the margarita pizza was far too sweet tasted like spaghetti hoops. Bar staff need to be more focused on waiting customers not putting glasses away.

Beers are great, nice looking venue but can get a bit smelly. Although maybe not as smelly as before?

Mostly common drink choices, prices on the higher side and smelt slightly funny when I visited last. There are definitely better places on king Street.

Probably my favourite pub / restaurant on kings street. Really lovely atmosphere, with the pub being in a scenic cave like underground structure, a nice long bar with plenty of drink options available, serving pizza with lots of vegan options and plenty of seating, this place is great for a quick pint with a friend, a date or a night out! Five stars!

Decent pizza and atmosphere, not a huge range. If you want coffee.....we'll be prepared to wait as they didn't have the machine turned on (and it was a Saturday afternoon) so it took 25 minutes before I could have one. Staff appeared to not really have had any training on the machine, but if you want a pizza and an alcoholic or cold drink then it's a nice environment.

I really like how the ceiling is cylindrical. Great beer, would go again.
