Terrible service unfortunately.Usually really good but this time I have to admit it was poor.I have visited this costa for years & have always got on well with the staff but I walked in there at about 1600 to get a coffee only to be told that they were shut even though their were people in there.I said to the Girl that the website says that you don’t shut till 1630.She wasn’t interested and just repeated that they were shut & that was that.Could you change your website Costa please to avoid confusion 😡😡

Average at best experience. Not as expected. Was a bit dirty with lots of sticky surfaces, food on the floor and a counter front was missing so display was all over the place. Nothing wrong with the service, but I think there was an over abundance of people behind the counter that were unable to make drinks, which I can imagine would be frustrating to work with.

Its a coffee shop. Order coffee get coffee. A bunch of yummy mummies descended on the place and took over with their noisy kids. No consideration for other customers. Just letting them run riot. My friend and I had to move to hear each other. Bought tea and coffee which was okay. Staff friendly

Ordered 2 Latte's and am 99% sure they forgot to add any coffee to them. Go elsewhere unless you are a fan of syrupy milk.

Poor service. Staff friendly enough but had really bad retention (Eg, asked for water with ice, no ice. Baristas forgot had ordered with oat milk). Frappe consistency was REALLY bad. Watery and may as well have been an iced coffee. I've had several of these before and they should not be like this. Not a £5 quality drink for sure. Do yourself a favour and go to Coffee 1 down the road or go local with Cafe 96 or Little Shop and Pantry.

Lovely Costa Store. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is clean, tidy and well maintained. Drinks are well made. Comfy seating. Nice decor. Toilets on site. Good variety of good and drink available. Step to get into this Costa, so might be hard for the less able bodied person. Door is a bit heavy also. On street parking outside ans some disabled parking spaces.

I love coming to costa henleaze, the staff are so friendly and the whole atmosphere is just so nice. My daughter loves coming here for a baby chino. Kylie is always so welcoming and kind she makes me feel very comfortable here.

Used to come here back in 2009. I still sometimes come here for a coffee.

coffee is pretty tasteless I have been going to Costa for years and it has become a bit of a habit one which I will be breaking.The shops look tired inside and out.Many people cant get a card for a free coffee because they cant get the Costa app mostly pensioners the people they rely on.I dont think much of Costa anymore

We have had a very nice early-morning stop. The barista who served us, Mike, was incredibly polite, professional, and friendly. This was despite it being very busy and 8am

Clean and tidy. Not to busy. Friendly staff. Service was quick at the counter.

Popped in for a coffee the staff was lovely and helped us brilliantly with 2 children, gave us the wrong cake but immediately gave us the right cake with our extra charge! Keep up the good work team!

Not a great experience. The coffee quality varies widely, i.e. the flat whites are a hit and miss business. Close to the closing time the staff only cares about going home early. I was studying at 15:15 and the team leader shouted -“we are closing the carpet area at 15:30!”… Please and/or thank you are always appreciated. Then the staff turned away several clients 20min before closing time… I am really not impressed with the lack of customer service. At 15:40 the team leader came back saying they were closing in 20 min. Again no signs of politeness. I grabbed my stuff and went; I was clearly not welcome there. I won’t come back. In Henleaze the Coffee #1 is the better option both for the service and quality of the drinks.

Great coffeee with a great service

My wife and I popped in for a coffee and a sandwich at 3.45. We got our order and sat down by 3.50. Almost straight away, it was announced that the shop closes at 4pm. We thought, fine, they are bound to allow us enough time to finish as they were still taking orders. However, the announcement was repeated another 3 times, until at 4pm we were personally informed that the shop was closed! This was very rude and unreasonable. Costa definitely need to train their staff in Customer Service. Have used this shop since it opened, but won’t be back.

I visited here and ws pleased that they offer a glass of ice with cold drinks. I took a Sprite, Cheese & Tomato Toastie & A Feta & Tomato Pasta Salad. The seating is comfortable and modern but the walls do look a little dated. That sort of light pine effect isn't often seen anymore. The toastie was delicious, the cheese especially was flavoursome with surprisingly sweet notes, and it was served steaming hot. The pasta also tasted good. It is a reasonable place for a lunch and a refreshing drink.

Great coffee but feels a bit grubby..

We had a family party of 5. Pretty full, two tables for 2 not adjacent. Very noisy as everyone was shouting to be heard. Back of the shop was empty, ideal as I have hearing disability where noise is painful and causes problems with exposure. Obviously pensioners, despite that, can't go in the back the section is closed. So we have to leave. Thanks Costa. Expected better than that.

Nice place to take the pace of life down a stride or two. Staff are friendly and the food and drink is what you expect from a chain.

Had a chilled experience at Costa Coffee, the 2 young girls that work there were really friendly and pleasant, only had coffee with friends but just felt relaxed.

Was a standard Costa, disappointed that they'd run out of oat milk but the staff were lovely and the almond milk was a passable replacement.

This place used to be really good, but it's gone down hill for some time now. This time the dishwasher was supposedly broken, same as previous. They had no medium take out cups and the hand sanitizer is always empty

When I went the 3 times over the week the manager was by herself due to staff being away or ill. Nothing was too much trouble, she was bubbly and chatty with everyone didn’t matter she was on her own, a great asset to the business, unlike the weekend staff who were sat on the counter texting on the phone total opposite. However the hot choc is always great 😂

Had to ask for a replacement decaff as could not taste any coffee at all, replacement was just as bad. Looks like coffee#1 down the road is the better choice

Small Costa. During my visit all customers crowded into front section whilst the back was blocked off with chairs. I'm guessing to make it quicker clean up. Hardly doing their best for COVID spacing.

Got sent away and said they couldn't cook me a toastie as they were shutting in 15 mins at 1.45 when the website states 4pm. Very rude staff. Won't visit again

Food was to be collected b4 4.30pm shop was ment to close at 5pm we got to shop at 4.17pm to be told our food had been thrown away and shop was now closed. Yet the waitress clearly had our 2 bags of food in her hands, when i asked her about it she told me she would enjoy it as we were to late but we still had 13 mins to collect food. Very rude staff who steal customers orders, will never buy from Henleaze Costa again.

Decent coffee! They could try and be friendly, although I am very sociable........to everyone and my bar is very high. I like to be acknowledged when I walk in with a hello and a smile followed up with a "what can I get you" or am I being unrealistic!.....wait, it was quiet and there were two people behind the screens......maybe I'm just too sensitive and like to feel welcome.

This is a much improved venue. The premises are now very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. All of the Covid restrictions are clear and enforced.

How can a cafe run where they have not taken the tables out so people can social distance. Place is now so cramped, more tables that u cannot sit on than there are ones you can. Sort it out. Coffee one has and the other local costa has ( owned by same person). Coffee to usual standard, really need to sort seating asap please.

The internet setup was a bit difficult to have it run on 2 devices and didn't manage to get it running in the 20 min I was there. Otherwise fine another Costa following the covid measures etc. Still managed to get a seat in the reduced set-up.

3 members of staff, as far as I could see. The manageress, intent on making sure everyone stood on particular spots, another one, who seemed to be doing repairs to chairs and and the beginner, taking orders and cash, and then down a ing the coffees. I must have been in an extremely good mood today, as I don't do queues normally. Painfully slow service.

We arrived and had to clear a table before sitting down. There was only one person serving so it was not quick service. I had an espresso, no little biscuit with it and no offer of a glass of water. I had to ask for one. Tepid water, no ice. The environment felt stark and basic.. As often the case, noisy children made conversation difficult. I would not choose to return. With so many cafes on the High Street I am surprised that this cafe is so indifferent to the customer.

I visit Costa with friends as the acoustics are better than in some other venues and we can easily hear each other speak. On the most recent visit, the service was quite slow. When I was being served the staff member was friendly but whilst I was waiting there was no smile or anything to acknowledge my wait. Although Costa was not very busy, dirty mugs etc were on the tables. I cleared our table and it looked like the tray I used had the remnants of several weeks of spilt coffee on it. I like this venue but the staff need to be more friendly and clean the shop up a bit.

Have always Costa in Henleaze but recently the place seems to have let standards slip. I understand that they have been promised a refit but that is no excuse. Visited Saturday 21st with 12 week old Grand Daughter, she needed changing but the toilet with changing facilities was out of order so had to leave and come home. Went in on Christmas Eve still out of order and the other one had a broken lock so could not lock the door. Visited 28th One had been fixed but the other one still had a broken lock. The hygiene bins were overflowing, totally disgusting. Floors were dirty, tables not cleared there were 3 staff on but they just stood behind the counter on their phones. They were polite to customers and served them when needed. Boxes piled high outside of toilets which was definitely in breach of safety if a child had knocked into them they would have fallen down on top of them. We mentioned this to a staff member whose reply was "well it hasn't happened yet" Expected better from costa

For a shop so say specializing in coffee I was somewhat disappointed. My coffee was bitter tasting , to be fair I have had better instant coffee. Also why serve coffee in a soup bowl masquerading as a coffee cup . The previous day I enjoyed a coffee at The Mall Cribbs/Causway Soho's , absolutely delicious and served in an elegant mug !!! .

Came here for some coffees. Both the server and the barista were friendly and efficient and made a good cup of coffee. Didn’t have to queue either mid morning which was nice.

No me impresionó con Costa Coffee Shops, pero nuestros dos Grandchilren quieren ir allí mientras los teníamos comprando. Ambos tomaron un sándwich con su café y yo tomé un chocolate caliente que no era nada del otro mundo. 15 y cobres para lo que no era algo especial, seguro que todos estos lugares solo piensan en un número y se multiplican por lo que quieran. No hace falta decir que no volveré. Creen que están a la altura de la buena mesa.

Having visited Costas in other parts of the UK, I appreciate the Henleaze Road shop. The staff are friendly and do their best to help. The shop is also kept cleaner and used crockery is cleared away more quickly than I have experienced elsewhere.

Very good for a Costa Coffee. Very good service and good food. There are lots of Costas in Bristol and this is one of the better ones.

It was so amazing and absolutly great service. I would highly recommend it for a catch up with friends and family. It's a thumbs up for me 👍🏻☕️

We met friends here for coffee. The coffee shop is within Cadbury garden centre .Congresbury nr Bristol .Lots of tables and very comfortable seating. Waitress clearing tables as fast as she could. Coffee excellent .

It's my favorite place to have a daily coffee :-) Hot chocolate it's also very good. Interior of all cafe's it so cossy, like you want to stay there for all day :-)

A great place to go with friends for a chat and a decent smoothie or coffee. It's a favourite with my kids as a special treat once in a while after school. Plenty of space to sit.

This is the typical costa coffee outlet. Ordered cake and coffee. Seemed to be a lot of bother for the staff member. If you don't want to work in retail please work somewhere else. Disappointed. But the coffee was good.

Ordered some drinks and a muffin - then ordered toast - and it seemed to be a real effort -! Not sure why it seemed such a problem to toast some bread ? Otherwise ok - but a shame as I normally get good service in Costa - come on - maintain the good service please !

Reconozcámoslo, Costa es Costa. Sin embargo, el personal en esta rama es particularmente amable y eficiente, comparado con muchas otras ramas en los que he estado.

Lots of tables, some comfy armchairs and sofas too. Thankfully more of the mums and tots seem to go to Coffee#1 these days, so Costa is usually quieter and more relaxing. Standard Costa offering, but the staff are usually pretty efficient and provide much quicker service than Coffee#1 (though a less interesting range of food and drink). And I like their coffee!

We love Costa and the staff here are so friendly. Coffee consistently excellent. More low calorie food options would be good though.

As a non-coffee drinker I can't comment on the coffee personally though my husband would highly recommend!I love the toasted sandwiches though and am happy to visit almost any costa coffee for one! A great spot for people watching and often busy with mums so great place to meet up with the kids too!

I like Costa Coffee shops but this one is really noisy, as so many mums seem to come here with buggies.....choose the time you come carefully, but great atmosphere and nice staff.

The Costa menu is all about great coffee, delicious food and a dazzling array of hot and cold drinks.The Chocolate mint fancy and pecan maple muffin with moka are delicious!

This place had yummy food and was a great relief from the rain. I would definitely suggest their pigs in a blanket panini and the carrot cake.

Europe is popular with their cafes and the original taste from home-country. So, if you visit UK, Costa is a must to have. There are so many branches everywhere and doesn't differ the taste at all. My favorite drinks, Hot Chocolate. And the foods are good. While you're sightseeing around UK, take a sip of hot drinks should be good. And, must Costa.

Right on Henleaze high street this is a busy little cafe competing with several others. I popped in for a drink and cake and read a paper- service was friendly.

Costa Coffee was refurbished a year or so ago. This has made the venue more comfortable.The drinks/ food are standard throughout Costa Coffee in the UK. The differentiator for the Henleaze franchise is the service that the staff provide. Whilst most Costas will serve food at your table if they have to heat it for you, very few offer to bring drinks to your table. I appreciate this service.For me an advantage of Costa in Henleaze is that it is not as noisy as Coffee#1 which is only a minute's walk away. At Costa I can actually have a conversation with friends; it is more difficult to do this at Coffee#1.My tip is to remember to use your Costa loyalty card to claim free drinks/ food.

Food same as any Costa. Prices same as other Costa's .... No different.Staff best I've seen so far. Instead of shouting at me to get food they brought food over. Apologised for the wait. That was a first.Very pleased with service. Only breakfast here once a month if that. Pictures of our Friday morning breakfast.

Service slow, food was poor and the drinks were made wrong.Won't be going here again, Starbucks for me next time.......
