Amazing place and the music, definitely comes back

Anyone who loves the “Treasure Island” will get their money’s worth here. You can literally hear Robert Louis Stevenson's characters talking, ordering and making plans here. The food is great, drinks are not too expensive, the service is friendly. Always my pleasure

A choice of 2 ? This pub or the Old Duke opposite?? I chose this one. Miiserable 20 something barmaid serving and the place looks like it could do with some tlc. Empty inside but busy outside with sharing tables with the other pub. Nice Timothy Taylor pint of bitter, though! Came back in the evening and the area and both pubs was busy busy. All youngsters putting their money on their cards....2nd pint I went to the Old Duke !!!

Sadly no food. Just expensive drinks. The staff were great and the atmosphere was top notch, it felt as if the walls could tell stories. However it needs to sell food. The pub was empty when I visited. Although there were people drinking outside. The pub itself looks amazing. I wish Bristol held onto more buildings like this one.

Pints! Seating! Enough tables for everyone! In a street where there are so many pubs, the Llandoger stands out as one of the better ones. Good selection of drinks and not too costly. I'd happily drink here again.

Good service and excellent selection. Stay outside but don't worry about the wait.

Great pint like being a part of history

Excellent selection of guest beers with a nice selection of session IPAs on tap. We had a nice afternoon relaxing having a few drinks with a good atmosphere etc. Lost one star because the toilets are pretty grim! Gents definitely need an overhaul!!

Llandoger is a personal favourite and always one that deserves a visit when in town on a “walk”. Good atmosphere, good beer

I have been here a few times on a recent holiday to Bristol to have a refreshing drink after a long walk, and it was a nice surprise to find some good music playing in one of the side rooms on a Saturday night. What I didn’t appreciate is being accused of taking a drink I ordered but never received. I ordered 3 drinks and was served two. I asked for the 3rd to be told i had already been given it! What? Where would i hide it? My jeans pocket? After a short showdown a new drink was poured and i paid for the 3 drinks i eventually got. If the drink was poured and left on the bar then clearly someone else stole it. I didnt see it so i can’t say for sure it was poured or not as i was distracted by my husband handing a phone in he found on the bench. Im not paying for a drink i didnt get, no matter how nice your aladdin dress is. That kinda put a dampness on the evening tbh and we left after and won’t be back unfortunately

Decent quiet bar with lots of history, interesting place

Toilets are gross, smells of wet dog and probably haunted, but still an excellent boozer. Staff are great, drinks are good and not too expensive for King Street. Definitely a place to try.

Stopped in for a beer based on many great reviews but left feeling very disappointed. A very impressive selection of beers. However, the tired decor, off putting smell and under par quality of beer mean I won't be back. On plus side bar man very friendly and welcoming. But was really looking forward to their Budvar and really just tasted like fosters.....

Lovely old building from 1664 if the blurb in the pub is to be believed. Feels a bit of a missed opportunity, the new king Street brew house opposite was heaving, whereas this place felt a bit lacking in atmosphere and empty... Great beer though, just feels like someone needs to give it a bit of love, currently feels a bit down on its uppers, shame for such an iconic place

I go because the Sea Shanty Group meets there. I find the service and the loos both pretty grim. Not somewhere I would go voluntarily. Press ganged comes to mind

It's an incredible place really: a stunning collection of German beer on tap and a huge variety of seating areas, in nooks and crannies. It's a genuinely old building, rickety, warped and heaving with character.

I thought this place had improved but found it dull and uninspiring it could do so much better!

Proper pub, choice of drinks was amazing and the barman was a massive help. The only thing that stops it getting 5 stars was the choice and quality of the wine. (Wife's choice not mine)

Wow what a gem. Popped in for a quick drink day 1 of our 5 day family holiday. Visited every day since. The selection and quality of the cider and real ale is amazing. Purple hazy and Bristol port ciders were fab. Shout out to the bar staff, wonderful and helpful people. Please visit and keep this gem of a pub going.

Came for a few pints after the Saints v Bristol City evening game (Saints lost). The service was excellent and the ale, just 2 choices but was in absolute tip-top condition. Recommended.

Love this very old pub. The building & history is so facinating.

Apparently one of bristols oldest pubs rumoured to of been drank in by one of bristols most famous sons Edward Teech aka Blackbeard it also has a ships maiden in it that looks like cilia black

Came in tonight with a group of my friends, they served my friends but me and a few of my friends were refused drinks even though we came altogether. Very inconsiderate

The Llandoger used to be a terrible bar in one of Bristols most iconic historical buildings. It's now a very much improved cosy venue for a pint in one of Bristols oldest streets.

Apparentky were here in this iconic pub. Whether a book was written here, it's a great building, atmosphere and fantastic beer. Only allowing myself half as I am the driver, lol. Whether the book Treasure Island was written here, we shall not know but the building ozzes inspiration. Bsistol has much history to explore.

Atmosphere and a good choice of beers, not at daft prices.

Popped down just expecting a nice pint and chit chat with my family, ended up in another room listening to a live dj set. Was great fun and more than I bargained for so I can’t complain. The pints are also cheap compared to other pubs on Kings Street 😤🙏

Did not eat here but was lovely old pub to enjoy a couple of drinks.

More character in the bog than the bar. And it dates from 1664. That's saying something. Sort out the atmosphere asap. And get that fire on!!

I enjoyed my visit to the Llandoger Trow. There was a good range of real ales on draft, including Thornbridge Jaipur. They were playing some really good music including Jonny Cash and Portishead. I particularly enjoyed reading about the history of the building. However, I noticed a spelling mistake on the plaque! Work on your SPAG guys and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of 5 star reviews coming your way in the future!

At last! I've wanted to visit this pub, and "Brizzle" for many years. A good selection of beers available, although many are "on tap." Great atmosphere, great music ( Cream and Zepp playing when I visited).

Stopped by very busy but wait wasn't too bad. Tried to pay cash but was refused so tried to pay with card but then was having issues paying with card. Not wheelchair accessible due to age and design of building.

I like the red techno room but the mold in the female toilets is DISGUSTING. Please sort it out as not safe

This pub is no longer part of the Brewers Fayre chain, and as such, no longer serves food.

Great pub in an area of several pubs literally next to each other, this was the best one I reckon.

Outside space is always super busy in summer months. Inside has lots of different areas to sit in and a wide variety of pints to choose from.

Been here a lot when staying at the premier inn next door fantastic pub.

Shanty night was good vibes, very cute pub. Lots of beers on tap, but lots were out after the bank holidays. Pork scratchings were crispy, good service

Historic pub with links to Daniel Defoe and Robert Louis Stevenson. Fantastic old building with lots of character. Has reinvented its self as a very popular real ale pub. Incredibly busy on the Saturday night I visited. If you don't like crowds probably best to visit earlier in the day. Very good selection of beer, the staff manage to cope very well with the large numbers. Only plastic glasses when visited. In the current CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2023. (So crowded found it difficult to photograph, the painting is from their advert in the local CAMRA magazine). If you want a pub that is full of life on a Saturday this is the place to go in Bristol.

Lovely old school Tudor style building - great drinks list with lots of craft and artisanal drinks - the Mojito cider in particular was amazing

This pub in a historic building has many ghost stories. But the most important thing is that it has a lot of different beer choices, enjoy.

Good beer, good place to watch the rugby

This place scammed me! Very poorly made and frustrating app/website. It doesn't scroll properly, the basket is confusing, and it crashes. The staff was short and unhelpful. Their app crashed, and when I loaded it again it duplicated the mixer I ordered for a different drink. I was brought my whiskey neat with ice and mixer! When I pointed this out, they remade it, but upon giving it to me they decided to charge me for the remade drink! I was charged for a mixer I did not order and twice for a drink I had to go get changed. 17 pounds for a whiskey neat.

Nice old building circa 1664, a good selection of ales, loses a star for being card only, and doesn't do itself any favours by having graffiti in the toilets, you may think this is edgy and artistic, it's not, it gives a poor impression of a pub that's given up. Disrespectful to the heritage of the building.

A great place with a proper old pub atmosphere. It was super busy when we were there and the staff handled it well. Great selection of beers too.

Well what can I say, used to work here in the early 1980's and still has the same carpets!! It was great to see it open again, lovely day time atmosphere and lucky to meet a lovely family from Holland

A King Street, and Bristol, must visit. A proper old fashioned pub with bare beams and some summer floors. Great range of beers, and a student discount if you're lucky enough, good to watch sports at the back, but also room in the bar for sitting and catching up. Basically, does everything you could ask for from a pub

We went on a Friday, forgetting it would be crowded. It is still a good pub with a great selection of beer.. Our only problem was getting a taxi, which didn't have anything to do with the pub.
