The best restaurants serving British food in Wiltshire South West

A very enjoyable evening here. The food was lovely and the portions were of a good size. The staff were very pleasant. We will definitely return.

Chose this venue on the spur of the moment for a family roast. We were absolutely delighted with the decision; the food was as good of a roast as you could hope to find anywhere, the manager was super friendly and attentive and the general vibe was welcoming and relaxed. We will be returning soon. Thanks to all at the Wig and Quill.

Friendly staff, eager to help. Breakfast is top quality. There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options, too. It is a really nice, clean establishment.

Went here with friends for my birthday. Upon arrival we couldn’t get inside as it was very very busy and very very loud. We were shown to our table in the restaurant, the waitress was really lovely. She recognised immediately that it was absolutely impossible to hold a conversation or hear yourself speak as it was so loudly, why do people have to shout at a table?? The waitress offered to move us, which she did to a quieter corner off the bar area tucked away. The food was decidedly average. Again the waitress was fantastic and rectified the issues as they arose, but still to be served cold food, and food that was mainly fat and the remainder very tough meat just is a shame. As said the service was great but at that point my husband had been put off his food, so ended up without really eating. Then unfortunately to cap off the experience the pub dog was unwell, right by our table. They clearly didn’t bill us for everything we had, which is good, but we would much rather have had a good experience and paid full price. With regret, we probably won’t be returning..

Always a great night here. Lots of different entertainment on throughoutthe week, friendly staff. Lovely clean and modern decor with very comfy seating.

We have been coming to the sun inn for many years. Staff are always very accommodating and super attentive. Food is always fantastic, chefs very accommodating to people's requirements. It's great that the menu changes every season. New menu is very good. Great beer garden in the summer. All round one of the best pubs around. Keep up the high standards you guys set.

Such a lovely cafe in a nice setting, friendly staff, lovely coffee and cakes, wider menu available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice view of Cathedral.

Great outdoor seating - fab position to watch the sun set. Nice prosecco ....and can even get a pot of tea. Just delightful on a warm day.

Nos hemos detenido aquí en Antsy PYO Farm Shop tres veces y es nuestro hoyo favorito: deténgase en nuestro camino por la A 30. Normalmente paramos para almorzar o tomar el té y el café por la tarde. La calidad de la comida es excelente, todos los productos de origen local. El personal es extremadamente amable y servicial, nada parece ser un problema para ellos. ¡Este es realmente un hallazgo notable y soy reacio a compartirlo con otros! Jajaja DEBES probar el Chelsea Bun (en la foto), lo calientan lo suficiente como para que el azúcar dentro de las caramelizadas: las palabras no pueden hacerle justicia. No puedo esperar a nuestro próximo viaje por carretera para visitar Antsy, de hecho, ¡podría ir allí a almorzar! Está a solo una hora y media, vale la pena.

Attractive rustic cafe, which would be nice to visit on a warm day..It was absolutely freezing cold when we visited. The heaters in the cafe were completely ineffective. A cappuccino at £4 you think they could afford better heating. I felt concerned for the girls working there constantly having to point customers to the feeble heaters.

Popped in for lunch the food and drinks were superb. Great service too, we will be back very soon
