Brillante, amable, negocio familiar.

This is local to me and I enjoy coming here. The food selection is very good and I always find the staff friendly and accommodating. They do very good sausage rolls and pasty’s and a good selection of frozen foods. Definitely worth a visit.

Love the food in this place, the cakes and bread are freshly made and the veg are mainly picked from the farm, we love to pick Raspberries and Strawberries every year to make jam. Wish they would update the Café area, very dark and old fashioned, could be made to look amazing as it is a large area, we love a cup of tea and a cake when we stop but it never looks very welcoming inside, wish they would do light lunches that would be great.

Went for pumpkin picking around a week before Halloween and was really disappointed that they had already harvested the pumpkins. And had no orange pumpkins. It's a beautiful view and lovely playground for kids, as well as tons of toys in cafe, which is why I gave an average review. My cake was really dry and the frosting tasted of nothing but pure butter. Coffee not great. Kids "pizza" truly awful. Selection very limited, especially for kids food. Such a beautiful spot, just missed potential...

The second time we have stopped here when travelling between Kent and the West Country. Good picnic food in the shop. Peaceful place (outside) to sit and have a cup of tea. Had thought to pyo raspberries but found & decided on superb blackberries instead, really excellent rich flavour, glad we did this.

We called in for pyi strawberries, and were directed to the rows which were open for picking. With the greatest difficulty we managed to pick 1.75kg from about ten rows, in which most fruit was either rotten or under-ripe. By the following day many of the strawberries had started to rot. In these circumstances, this establishment should not have been offering the pyi service. We wish now that we had gone to,Waitrose, where the fruit would have been no more expensive, and of reliable quality. My ratings below relate to the pyi strawberries only.

Visited today for the first time, had a great coffee with a scrummy homemade cake, lovely view over the fields and then a bit of shopping in the farm shop picking up a few of those homemade cakes, breads and fresh eggs. PYO not open but will definitely be back for some strawberry picking in the summer. Great friendly staff too.

Both times that we've been here we've found the staff (apart from the young lady in the cafe) really unfriendly. The prices for the pyo are really high and when i asked if they sprayed the fruit they snapped at me "we're not organic "the prices would indicate that they were. I got better and much cheaper strawberries at Aldi!

Si yo no hubiera reservado alojamiento...

Absolutely dreadful! Advertised a la carte menu replaced with a 'bar' menu. Took the waiter 15 minutes to bring a menu and ask if we'd like drinks 40 minutes for food to arrive which was not hot. The pork belly my colleague had was wrapped in gooey fat not crackling, the pumpkin sauce was a teaspoon of orange 'something' and the seasonal veg was mashed potato and some peas. The chicken burger was deep fried and tasted of old fryer fat as did the 'tepid' skin in chips. Presentation of the burger was non existent and the two tiny leaves of lettuce were brown. This was fed back to the waiter when he finally returned to our table his response was he'd mention it to the Chef. The after dinner treat of sticky toffee pudding was solid and rubbery, not moist. The tiniest bit of ice cream and a token gesture at the sauce all was tepid. The dining room was cold and drafty. The decor tired and wall paper peeling off the ceiling and walls. Utterly awful experience with nobody interested in the overall shoddiness of the service and food. Really disappointing, especially as this is the closest hotel to work. A real missed opportunity for this Hotel and Restaurant.
