After watching you be on four in a bed your attitude and negativity spoiled yourselves.

Very nice beer and we had a pork pie and pickle, excellent and the choice of beers was good. Didn't stay the night.

We live locally but had only ever popped in for a drink once. Last Friday we popped in for a quick dinner and it was so nice that we visited again this evening. Proper home cooked pub food and homemade chips. Best gammon egg and chips that I’ve had in a long time!

Where to start! I Emailed Dean and Abby from Mexico, to see if they could fit me in with a very last minute booking for an extended stay. Within minutes they responded and gave me a great price. The room is beautiful and pristine clean. It has it's own private bathroom and shower, and plenty of space to hang clothes, and drawer to store my clothes. It's freezing cold outside, but my room is cozy and warm. The complimentary tea, coffee and cookies went down a treat. It is very quiet despite the fact there is a main road out front, and it is also a busy bar and restaurant. Both Dean and Abby are very welcoming and have gone out of their way to accommodate me and my partner. I highly recommend a stay here. It is close to the town center, and bus routes, which is an added bonus. Well done guys on a really well run, welcoming establishment.

Great staff and atmosphere. Landlord is a true gentleman. We went with our dogo and 4 year old to a Halloween party and a wedding party showed up. Figure the bride and groom won't forget their photo with Frankenstiens monster.

Went for a carvery for my brothers birthday was very nice I was the only one with a large lol but I would definitely recommend and will certainly come back again one day only thing there was no broccoli.

Disgusting...Sausage underdone, overcooked bacon, watery eggs, Tinned tomatoes. Not much variety for someone obese who likes eating a full loaf of bread with breakfast (not seeded)

A great pub with charming staff, food looked nice, beer choice has plenty of options. Parking just around the corner, will with a visit. Only stopped for a few drinks, did not eat or stay overnight.

Went to this pub for a carvery it was absolutely disgusting the gravey smelt like rotten meat and smelly socks made me feel really sick . I asked the cook what was wrong with it and he stuck his finger in and licked his finger and said, it was the juice from the turkey then gave me the plate back, my sister didn't eat hers ,I'm still smelling it now travelling back home disgusting is an understatement 🙃 if the turkey juice smelt like that then you shouldn't of served gruesome AWFUL DISGUSTING

Food is absolutely amazing can't fault it will deffo come here again compliments to the chef and thay are all every welcoming

We’ve had several meals here. Cannot fault it. Actually home made chips ☺️. Sunday carvery is lovely. Home made puddings. The pub is really clean and the staff are so nice. Looking forward to our next meal there :)))

We had a lovely stay at The Crown Inn, everything was brilliant, can highly recommend.

Only popped in for a pint, so I can not comment on the rooms. The pub itself was clean and tidy. There is a good selection of beer, which is continuously changing. The beer garden was a tranquil space compared to the main road at the front of the pub. The staff members are very friendly and have a good knowledge about the drinks they are serving.

Called in for an quick drink , at lunchtime, whilst in Heanor. Lady behind the bar was very friendly and offered tasters. Several different real ales on offer.

We have been for food & a drink. We had a lovely breakfast 1 day, all cooked, lovely. Also been for steaks & wow they were cooked to perfection 🥰 definitely worth another visit. 😋

With the Redemption closed midweek, the only pub remotely worth trying in Heanor is the Crown Inn. Unfortunately, despite 5 real ales being advertised , only 3 were available . I have a strong aversion to Doom Bar and Lincoln Green brews so that left me with Elsie Mo as the other available choice. Having had poor quality Elsie Mo's at 2 other locations recently, I didn't fancy taking a risk so I decided to go for my back up drink of a cider. Unfortunately again , there was no draught brand like Thatchers or Strongbow , just one brand I had never heard of. Hobsons choice was a fruit cider that was nice in taste and refreshing but £2.40p for a half - a little pricey.

Great pub with friendly atmosphere. Always has a full program of live events and quiz nights. Beer and food is good. The owners are very hospitable.

I'm reviewing the Sunday carvery. Very disappointed. Only gave one thin slice of meat, the roast potatoes were fried as they seaped oil and you had to pay extra for pigs in blankets. Not that cheap either. Staff pleasant though.

Unfortunately this pub and bnb isn't clean at all. From the sticky tables and cutlery. To dirty toilets. If you don't mind filth. This is the place for you.

I cannot believe that you think that your standard of cleanliness is acceptable, I didn’t bother with breakfast as I decided to take the advice of the numerous poor reviews, pity I didnt read them before I paid to stay .

Too bad the owners didn't have the good grace to face their competitors in Four in the bed on payment day. They were only too willing to criticize the other owners on pretty much everything despite being far from perfect themselves. I think this will badly reflect on their business in the future!

You scored low from day one on four in a bed with only saying you would return to one. I know where I would rather stay and it wouldn't be here!! Then to withdraw at the end and imply the others were cheating. Shame on you!

Nice welcome, fish and chips was amazing. Guinness on draft was top rate. Beer batter on fish with homemade chips. So tasty 😋 great looking decor and Xmas tree. Even have live bands some nights.

The pub had a nice vibe but a really weird layout, the down side is that the pub unfortunately doesn't have any on-site parking. There are carparks close.

I didn't stay, but I did take may family today for the carvery for my brothers 50th. The food was delicious. The staff we very welcoming and friendly. Thank you.

What a pub! Rooms are a mystery.. Having recently moved to Heanor, finding the crown at the top of the street was Golden! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff and service are amazing. Quick, efficient and pleasant. Good choice of drinks from the standard to the unique ales. 💷💷 Prices are standard, a pint Carling is ~£3.00 to give a benchmark. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The interior is really nice refurbished and it's a good size with different sized tables to accommodate every kind of group. Air conditioning, this is a massive plus. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The exterior is clean and tidy, more so for a standard pub garden and pleasant to sit in and have a beer. Has an initial covered wooden section with a number of tables leading to some more on the patio of varied sizes. Grass area at the far back is nice but the tables lean with the hill so, be aware! ❓️I've never said in the rooms so I can't comment on them. Conclusion is the pub is a great place to chill out and have a drink. The overall score isn't 5 stars Purley because there is nothing in particular to elevate it to that level like a bar with a gimic or set style for example. However, sometimes that's not that you need. The overall feel is relaxing and that itself is perfect.

Lovely pub, nice atmosphere, good smoking area outside. Hosts a lot of live music nights and plenty of football matches. Great selection of ales.

Ok pub good night out only downside is the smell of the toilets dont need to ask where they are you can smell them from the bar

By far the best steaks in the area both in quality and the way cooked.

Nice rooms however shame not informed they open till the early hours as noise a big issue.

Rooms are spot on and staff friendly. But why would you rent a FAMILY room out then have a disco and karaoke till the early hours??

La única comida comido aquí el desayuno que por £8 cada no mucho, aunque la cantidad de preparado bien, dieron elección aparte de beber y luego sólo salió en tazas. Preferiría haber desayuno no toma aquí en retrospectiva y esperaba tener sólo pagamos £4.50 por lo que recibimos. Ahora hasta las habitaciones, dos habitaciones dobles eran reservado para una sola noche, ambas habitaciones eran pequeñas y uno (número 5) El baño estaba al final del pasillo. Aunque las habitaciones estaban limpias y el uno nos alojamos en el número 4 tenía un baño y el olor al principio no fue agradable. Dejamos el extractor y rociaron con spray cuerpo libremente para remediar. El pomo de la puerta del armario se cayó, creo que el tornillo es demasiado corta, y en el interior de armario varios basura estaba situado (fotos de repuesto, piezas de material y varias maletas). La cama era cómoda, pero sólo un doble. Cuando volvimos de nuestra noche en la ciudad de marlborough hubo una banda en vivo en el pub de al lado (el cordero) que era ruidoso, pero no bloquean el sonido de la ventilación de la cocina, que una vez que la banda había terminado mantuvo parada y arranque toda la noche dando una noches de sueño roto. A pesar de todo que no me volvería a alojar allí y no recomendaría a nadie estancias y por 80 libras por noche con el desayuno no es barato en el extremo de la escala

El domingo asado cena encantadora, mi hijo pidió un trío de carne y el chef y propietario, totalmente. La comida era deliciosa sin duda volveremos. Las habitaciones check out del hotel, bien decoradas.

Lovely accommodation with a public bar and restaurant. Food is excellent and reasonably priced, service is second to none. Spacious rooms with en suite.

This was a lovely meal with a good choice for vegetarians. The location was good and the atmosphere and décor were excellent. Food came in timely fashion and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend

The best carvery meal we have had in ages. We popped in as we were passing and had the most amazing surprise, absolutely excellent. Everyone very friendly and welcoming with great selection of drinks and fabulous food and great value for money. Highly recommended. We will certainly be back!

Hay literalmente nada puedo recomendar acerca de mi visita al Piano Bar recientemente inaugurado en Marlborough previamente El Crown Hotel. Aclamado como una pieza de show para el nuevo propietario, Ian Wilkie, te sugiero que nunca un pie en estas premisas. Él es grosero, odioso y ofensivo. La suciedad es evidente desde el momento en que entras por la puerta y te encuentras con una experiencia agresiva y muy desagradable de principio a fin. No seré recomendar este establecimiento a cualquiera de mis amigos.

Visitamos el establecimiento recientemente reformado para una selección de tapas. Cuando pedir comida el personal no sabía lo que algunos platos estaban o de lo que contenía. Cuando los platos llegó el salmón que había ordenado fue reemplazada con una bola de risotto sin informar a nosotros, las patatas cocinadas eran triples frío y la selección de meze era sin sabor. Las raciones eran grandes, pero no en una buena manera ya que todo parecía frito y pesadas tapas mientras que normalmente te deja queriendo más. La otra decepción fue que no era un pianista como anunciado, pero un cantante y guitarrista que estaban bien, pero demasiado ruidoso. Los artistas también tenían niños que pudieron correr y cuidado romper nuestras sillas. Es una lástima, ya que vivimos cerca, pero no volveré.

Nos habíamos visto alguna buena información facebook desde el equipo de gestión así que nos fuimos a tomarnos algo y primeras impresiones fueron buenas. Muebles nuevos y hospitalario personal. No había música en directo esa noche, así que solo era un pub. Luego las bebidas, una copa de Malbec era 7.95 libras (un tercio más que rivales locales) y una pequeña bebida sin alcohol and Elderflower era 3,10 libras (trabajando en torno a 10 libras una pinta). Los precios de Londres Central y luego algunos para un pub local? No volveremos pronto.

Vine aquí y tenía un bistec. Estaba muy bien cocinados y licitación, servido con una estaban aguados peppercorn sauce, que me pareció un poco extraño para empezar, pero era el mejor que he probado nunca. Tanto yo como compañero se despejó nuestros platos y sentirse satisfecho. Elliott el gerente del bar, era muy servicial y amable y tendían a nuestras necesidades rápidamente. No puedo esperar hasta esta re de lugar se abre en un par de semanas. Tengo la impresión de que va a ser : impresionante )

Paramos para una estancia de una noche en Marlborough, descubrimos que la ciudad está llena de salones de té pero corto de ningún sitio donde comer después de las 6 pm aparte de pubs y restaurantes previsibles de cadena como Pizza Express, Prezzo y preguntar. Por suerte nos encontramos con el Crown Inn, que parecía un poco viejo por dentro, pero ofrece un menú que era claramente un paso de un restaurante típico de pub.

This pub/hotel had only been open for a week, so the towels, bedding etc were all brand new. The staff couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They really went the extra mile (especially Matt!) and asked for our views and suggestions so they could make it even better. They are still upgrading the rooms. Our room had an en suite shower room but not all do, so check before booking. The room was supplied with a kettle and plenty of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc. The shower room too had loads of toiletries, all of a good quality. You feel that this is run by people who have taken lost of notes when visiting other hotels, and ask themselves, what would guests like?Very comfortable bed, plenty of hanging and drawer space, and a big room. Fan supplied as well as extra heater. Décor neat and subdued.Full English breakfast included, and all of a good quality again. My wife doesn't eat meat but they readily gave her an additional egg, extra mushrooms etc.

I dined at this restaurant/pub in February when I visited Marlborough with my partner. We meet some friends here and had a very enjoyable meal. All three courses were delicious. The staff were very helpful and were happy to assist you by recommending dishes from the menu. The lady serving me even reserves the last pork dish for me so that it didn't go. My only negative is that the drinks were extremely expensive and almost doubled the bill. All in all a great night with great food and great staff. But just keep an eye on your drinks bill

We popped in here last Saturday as I had heard that there was a new chef. We were not disappointed with delicious food (everything is homemade), attentive service and well priced. We will return!

I recently visited the crown, the food was amazing and the staff were so friendly! The chef was very polite and despite it being busy he still managed to pop into the bar and check everyone was happy with their meals. I would definitely recommend!!!

Visited on Sunday 22nd March - nice ambience, very efficient staff and timely service and fabulous food. We were 6 adults and 4 kids and there was something for everyone. Good size portions but more importantly the food was fantastic. Would definitely go again.

I went to the newly owned Crown last Saturday night. Am local and haven't been there for years but so glad I did! Had the fish stew as recommended by our delightful waitress. Had a highly enjoyable evening with three friends and although starters and mains filled us up had to try the chocolate torte which was exquisite. Staff were attentive and very pleasant despite being rushed off their feet! Lovely to see the place doing well!Highly recommend!!

Unfortunately the waitress had no knowledge of the food and could not answer any of our questions, which spoilt our experience. Poor selection of deserts and food and drinks very expensive. £1.50 for small bottle of coke/tonic. But, only 50p if put in with drink when served. Won't be going there again.
