The best restaurants serving British food in Bideford North Torridge South West

A delightful friendly place with the most lucious hot chocolate. Warm welcome and great prices. Dog friendly too. Highly recommended.

Walked in here the other day with several members of family, all looking for a hot snack. There was no menu or food displayed in window so 7-8 of us walked in. Whilst ordering we were told to leave (whilst some were still deciding). This was apparently as if the shop looked busy, then other potential customers wouldn’t come in. Poor attitude

What an amazing place. A Christian cafe in Bideford with a crazy stunning look! Sofas, tables made from old cast iron machine bases, amazing food and atmosphere and as for the hot chocolate - my boys love it. Pete and Brioney and family make you feel so welcome. If you are visiting Bideford or locals like we are, this is a ‘must visit’ experience. Like me, I suspect you will keep on going back!

Ordered 2 ham salad and coleslaw sandwiches,with grannerie bread, so much filling of ham salad tomato cucumber lettuce and coleslaw, one of the best sandwiches we have ever tasted, also very good price, highly recommend,

4 of us went for the first time on Saturday night. The service from the moment we walked in was excellent. The menu choices were varied enough to cover all of our tastes and the quality of the food and its presentation was superb. This will definitely become a regular of ours, thank you.

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Belluno in Bideford! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. I tried the Raspberry Lemonade, which was served beautifully—an 8/10 for me, as it was slightly bitter (personal preference), but still had a great taste. My friend had the LimonCello Drop, which was a 9/10—smooth, sharp, not too strong on the vodka, and the sugar-rimmed glass was the perfect touch! The Thatchers Gold my friend ordered was spot on—perfectly poured, not flat, and exactly how it should be. We started with some bread (not sure what type), but it was absolutely delicious, served with oil and balsamic vinegar that was sweet and full of flavour. The fries were a solid 9/10—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. For mains, three of us had the Margherita pizza, which was wonderfully presented and tasted incredible. My other friend had the Carbonara, which she loved so much she couldn’t even finish it! The service was exceptional—staff were incredibly friendly, respectful, and took great care of us throughout the meal. Honestly, Belluno is miles better than some other places we’ve been to! Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back! Thank you to the amazing team at Belluno! 😊

There is no car park and very limited road parking for this pub, on top of that the food is very average overpriced pub food, the service and especially the managers attitude needs a lot of improvement, rude and patronising

Visited The Crealock a number of times recently. Without exception, food has been great every time. Good variety on the menu, and a variety of specials every day. Sunday roast very good too, booking pretty much essential on Sunday. Going again tonight, looking forward to it already

Arrived in the area on Thursday. Stopped for a coffee on Friday morning. super cafe staff lovely . We would like to mention the lady who served us sadly We don’t know her name she was so nice gave us lots of tips of places to visit in the area we have followed her advice and had a great holiday. first visit to Lindsey's cafe,had a lattee,which remained hot and had their homemade fruit cheesecake which was delicious.

Stopped here on way to Clovelly, me and my Landlord were on a mission, we saw this pub as we passed, eventually found a place to turn round a mile or so down the road. and well worth it. Parked in car park opposite the pub, weather was aweful, as we entered we were greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar. The Landlady Tina, she was fantastic, lovely welcoming smile, spoke to us as though we had been there before. Ale in top notch condition as we are both CAMRA members. The locals were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely clean pub with the best decor/signs. We were even offered hot pies from the oven upon leaving. Why aren,t all Landladys/Landlord like this. We will definately return when on route next time, or even stay over as there are rooms available and were informed gets live music regular, so well worth a look. Fabulous cod in crispy batter with chips. Batter cooked to perfection 🤩Excellent service and spotlessly clean. Comfortable chairs and just across the road from parking area. Takeaway and sit in. We sat inside large portions and freshly cooked.

The website above clearly states that the chippy is open until 9 pm. (Monday). When I arrived last night at 8.25 pm, the lady behind the counter said they only had chips and one sausage. I live in the area; my son did a holiday job there. I have been to the place regularly to get excellent fish suppers, and as far as I know, they have always shut at 9 pm during the week, (like it says on the listing above). I have to say that the kebab which I got from Danny's Kebabs, just round the corner in Brideland Street was excellent. As a result of my disappointment, I won't return for some time. Giving duff information on the website is a form of bad service.

King Prawn Noodles Soggy noodles and 3 prawns only. Shocking, never had such a small amount and enjoy King Prawns. Felt short changed !
