Billys - Country Cottage Bakery in Torridge

Memories is a great restaurant, the food is amazing, always fresh and delicious. The service is also great, friendly and helpful without any faff. We have been several times with friends who live locally and know that they have to book months in advance. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

We booked Sherry and her team to cater for our parents funeral in April 2025. They provided their catering service at a separate venue to the Old Farm House tea rooms… and catered for 200 people. After booking their service we visited the tea rooms and discussed what food we would like included in the buffet. They were happy to cater for our requests, and some of my parents old favourites were made and placed amongst the buffet. The food and presentation were wonderful, we had lots of comments from people attending about the quality of the food, with several people saying it was the best buffet they had tasted….. From a personal point of view Sherry was excellent and we did not need to worry about anything on the day or the lead up to it. Thank you so much for being part of the wonderful send off for our parents.

Second time visiting (on holiday from London). Superb food, as good as it was on our last visit about three years ago. Moules were delicious, and the chocolate torte and peach galette were both sublime. The staff are wonderful, attentive but not cloying. This is a gem of a restaurant and hopefully it will be around for many years.

Lovely pub, very welcoming landlord and landlady. Food was really good, excellent price. We were not made to feel like outsiders as we were visiting the area. Exactly as a pub should be.
