What an amazing place. A Christian cafe in Bideford with a crazy stunning look! Sofas, tables made from old cast iron machine bases, amazing food and atmosphere and as for the hot chocolate - my boys love it. Pete and Brioney and family make you feel so welcome. If you are visiting Bideford or locals like we are, this is a ‘must visit’ experience. Like me, I suspect you will keep on going back!

We had been walking around trying to find a quiet cafe to have lunch. Came across this lovely cafe. The lady was amazing very attentive and understanding as I'm a coeliac hard to find a nice cafe that does different food. She made me two toasted brie, bacon and cranberry rolls came with coleslaw and crisps. Very tummy, fiancé had the same but normal bread. Atmosphere is lovely great music, nice chill out cafe. Thank you so much, will definitely come again when next visiting bideford.

I'm spiritual rather than religious, and usually I get a bit freaked when going anywhere near anything with God written on it, but this place was heavenly. 1940's music playing, coffee to die for, veggie and vegan options, and the best bit was the cornucopia of vintage artefacts for sale for really good prices. I bought 2 things and would have bought more if I hadn't been curtailed by my long-suffering partner, who well-versed in my vintage obsession! Lovely, friendly people and interior design magazines to read. I was in a truly happy place 💕 Recommend highly and I shall return without children, so I can browse, read and sip tea at my leisure! Loved it 😊

Visited The Rock Church Cafe twice while visiting the area, and if time had allowed, I would most certainly have taken the opportunity to go back, again and again. Not only did I find it a super place for food and beverages but was made to feel most welcome by Brioney and her family; coupled with the truly unique decor comprising of quirky retro items at affordable prices, which one could purchase. Food and beverage options were extremely good, including a vegan menu. I can recommend the vegan breakfast! Next time I visit Bideford, I am making a bee line for The Rock Church Cafe. . . .

When I went in it didn't seem clean or like the 'kitchen area' was fit for purpose. Funny smell about the place, nothing about it made me want to stay...so I didn't.

A chance walk through Bideford during our Devon holiday, saw us noticing this delightful happy, friendly cafe, then following up on an invite to their church service. The service and welcome in the cafe made us feel really at home. The food on offer was truly tempting - whoops! - coffee great. A good place to meet up, end or break a walk or just take your book to read.

First visited because my friend was playing guitar and singing there - I was really surprised and happy to find such a lovely cafe. It is great for meeting friends on a Saturday, or for a relaxed light lunch with family (super child-friendly). The coffee is great (try the hot-chocolate also) - everything about the whole place is done with love and out of Love - always a smile and warm welcome and a word of encouragement. Be happy and try it :)

What a find! My wife and I popped in for a late lunch on Friday. The food, tea and coffee were excellent quality and excellent value for money. I had a chilli con carne baked potato which was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection and my wife had a pasta vegetarian option. We followed that with a gorgeous slice of carrot cake washed down with another cup of tea. The Rock Church Coffee Bar is family run and has a comfortable welcoming and informal atmosphere and is well worth a visit.

A very friendly christian cafe run by a family consisting of lovely couple Pete & Bryony & their lovely daughter Mariah (the most talented 10 year old barista around!). The cafe is very stylish and funky- there are a range of delicious homemade cakes on display- and the latte's are delicious! They serve fresh food- baguettes, soups, pasta, jacket potatoes and other home comforts! In addition, they also run a church service (praise and worship) on Sunday mornings from 10am which is inspirational and moving! Very different, informal, fun! Bring yourself and your children! Everyone is welcome!

I took my children to this cafe for tea and cake, which was delicious and so well priced! The kids loved the downstairs where there was a ball pit, sofas and toys. I loved the styling and feel of the place so much I rented it out for a friend's birthday! It's so cool there, it made a perfect venue! Would really recommend for young and old for any occasion

I visited with family whilst visiting the area for a Works Hot Chocolate for myself and my younger sister, which was heavenly and ideal for a sweet fix! I also brought a cream tea for my mom which was lovely! The scones was amazing. All was reasonably priced and staff was friendly/quick service. Very impressed and would definitely return if we was in the area.

A bitterly cold Saturday morning was made memorable by our experience here. What was so special? Lets face it any so called Barista can produce milky coffee (aka Latte) but it takes real skill to transform it into something really special. A really good espresso base; micro-foamed milk with bubbles that can barely be seen and just the right temperature. Sounds easy-it ain't! This was perfection in a cup. With quirky but comfortable surroundings and very helpful staff this place is hard to beat. I believe that this may be a family business and if it was the owner who I spoke with when leaving I wish you every success. On this showing it will be well deserved.

What a great cafe! Walk up High Street and turn left towards the market. Church runs cafe, staffed by volunteers, shabby chic decor, old fashioned games available to play if you like. But the cheapest cafe in town for what you get. Our second visit this week, and we will be going back soon. Two drinks and a light lunch each, under £9! Chilli nachos with cheese, jalapeño, chillis, sour cream and salsa just £2.60, and cheesy scrambled eggs with ham on toast not much more. Range of cakes, hot and cold drinks. Try "The Works" hot chocolate, it's well named. Friendly staff too, no rush to turn the tables over. It will get popular, and it deserves to.

We went to this cafe on a Saturday morning with our little baby boy in push chair. We found the owners to be welcoming and helped us in with the push chair (there were double doors so he opened the other one up). We ordered at the bar and service was prompt and with a smile. Great coffee (and I like my coffee!), and good food - we had a doughnut and a cinnamon bun. The atmosphere is good too - quirky artwork, nice sofas and generally a nice space. Yes, it's a 'church cafe' but to be honest it is a good place to go for a coffee and food with realistic prices too - A latte, fruit tea and two cakes came to £4.50.

We visited for afternoon tea - booked as a gift for our wedding anniversary. Every single piece of the afternoon tea was delicious - and we were so full we had to take some home! Thank you for a lovely experience.
