Slow Service, Overpriced won't be back

visit for lunch, had the lunch menu which is excellent value for money. It was all wonderful however I can recommend the calamari, sea bass & tirramasu

Make sure you go to high Street belluno as they've moved but still lush food and do their best to accommodate allergies

We had prebooked a party of 17 for an adult's birthday. The staff worked very hard to make sure everything was great and the food was amazing.

Excellent food and a nice experience. Vegan options.

Food is fantastic,the Lasagne is to die for as are the arancini. Service was polite and friendly. We make regular visits,booked and unbooked and can't wait to go very soon.

We love Belluno and visit whenever we're in the area. We've had pizza, calzone, risotto, pasta, it's all delicious. Children's menu is great, the sauce is well seasoned, not too bland and not too much for the little pallet. Great choice of cocktails.

Great food little slow on service

Lunch yesterday was awful. Pre-ordered food, paid £5.00 deposit, table booked for one o’clock. Food served over an hour late. Sat by door and was really cold and draughty. My duck breast was served with bright pink glace cherries in sweet syrup. Service was very slow and off-hand. Not up to usual standard

A restaurant I'd heard a lot of good things about, so it was booked for my son's 18th celebration on the strength of those. The ordering process was straightforward, and drinks arrived promptly. However, whilst two main courses came out a while later, the remaining four did not. Indeed, they did not until the first two were all but finished, lest they go cold. My ravioli was good but for the price light on quantity, certainly for a main course. I was disappointed and not sure I will return.

Very enjoyable until presented with card reader…. Then an option of 10, 15 or 20% tip. This sort of emotional obligation is awkward

A fun bustling restaurant in the centre of Bideford. Food was ok, a little mix up on starters but was dealt with well by attentive staff.

Had a wonderful meal and time for my birthday

Had lunch with friends here today - 4 of us. We had a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere and well presented, delicious food from a very reasonably priced 2/3 course lunch menu. Excellent friendly service too. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others. Thank you.

Have been twice in the last six weeks and came away disappointed both times. The food is good, maybe a bit pricey though. The restaurant is very noisy and almost impossible to have a conversation, not sure how they overcome that but it needs to be sorted as neither time was the restaurant full. The biggest issue was that it was very cold and drafty. Both times when I mentioned it, I was told the heating was broken and nothing they could do. Won't be going a third time, the manager just didn't seem to care and just kept asking if the food was OK!

Lovely food, it was NYE so everyone and everywhere was very busy, it meant we felt a bit rushed in light of later sittings but the food was incredible! Would go back for sure

Nice atmosphere, great service unfortunately one of the guest being pescartarian had ham on her fish no biggie as normally its replaced no drama but unfortunately they only preceeded to rare if the meat and tried to re searve the same fish ??? Minus the bacon. They did re=cook one in the end a little dissapointjng.

Garlic bread was tasty. Mushroom risotto wasn’t . Service was good. Bright light from the kitchen isn’t ideal Mains slightly overpriced

Excellent food and service. New wine list very good. Simply the only place to go in Bideford for a meal out without breaking the bank.

This was an amazing dining experience with the service and food being on point, the steak was cook perfectly to my liking and the cheesy garlic bread was amazing. The banoffee pie was delicious and very flavourful, highly recommend! The cocktails were outstanding as well would definitely recommend to come down and try it for yourself!

Aside from the amazing food, great drinks, brilliant atmosphere and wonderful service what makes this such a special restaurant is this wonderful lady who is the heart and soul of Belluno. She and her team make every visit special especially for our little boy who loves to go whenever we get the chance. We have never had a disappointing experience at Belluno which is an exceptional achievement. Thank you to the wonderful Belluno team.

Best restaurant in Bideford! Visited for an evening meal with kids. Food came out within 15mins. Pizzas we had were all great. Puddings also good. Very impressive to see how the restaurant has scaled up in terms of the kitchen and staff. New interior decor also very well designed. Spacious but also buzzing. Wife loved her November rain cocktail. Staff friendly and attentive.

Our first visit to the new venue. Although very different to the old venue, I think it is nicer. The food was nice as usual, although I would have preferred more vegetarian options. The service was very good, with great staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

4th time here and yet to have a bad thing to say. Food and atmosphere is excellent, the waitress with curly brown hair has been consistently great. Looking forward to next time.

Ate here 12 months ago, good so booked again when back in the area. Food still tasty so why only 2 stars ? Couples get 1 of 7 tables against wall with bench seat, to reach the seat you have to squeeze between one of the tables, so you spend the evening listening to every word of the conversations to your left & right, and they to yours. Larger parties accommodated by shoving other tables together, so loo trip entails asking them to allow you to squeeze through. 50 mins after arriving main course completed, but 35 mins more before 3 scoops of icecream and a slice of banoffee pie appear, although ordered swiftly. Checking on your food "Everything OK? Yes, yes, yes", immediately same to next table. Is the point of a question not to give the person asked the opportunity to answer, rather than answer for them? No green vegetables to be seen - perhaps Italians are dying in droves from scurvy? Chefs in working clothes just outside of loo corridor smoking - just shut the door to keep smell outside, and us in ignorance of hygiene practices. Our 2nd visit will be our last.

I love this place for food but unfortunately I live right beside this restaurant - we are regularly kept awake till 11pm by their noisy STAFF in their outside break area. I respect the fact you are working, that’s why I’ve never complained or kicked up any fuss but I’m fed up now. I understand this can be the perils of living in a town centre but this used to be a small quiet tucked away residential area in the heart of Bideford town and our peace and quiet as been RUINED by your staff. Please acknowledge the fact you are surrounded by flats and houses. Have some respect for the nearby neighbours and please keep it down!

Fantastic meal as always. Even on a Monday night out of season the atmosphere was lively and food was excellent. We have tried the pizza, pasta and risotto, as well as most of the starters and all are very tasty, come out quickly and are great value. Highly recommend 👍

The restaurant was a little tucked behind in a side street with their logo which was small, kind of made it hard to spot but got there in the end. Had to wait for a table too but was definitely comforted by staff. The atmosphere was warm, busy for a Friday night so can't complain. The food was fantastic and tasty. The staff were very helpful and nice, although I have to say one of the staff left a bad B.O trail where ever they went so they probably need to work on that. Other than that, it's a brilliant place to dine in

food was a very poor quality tasted like a microwave meal, service was dreadful meals 15 minutes apart to arrive. I will never return which is sad because the old restaurant was amazing. definitely avoid much better places with fresh quality food to eat.

If you have taste buds, Don't bother. Waiting Staff and chef do there best at the new premises on high street bideford. But the Food ingredients are of Very Low quality. Wine Is Terrible. Lidl I guess. Woman who Seems to be in charge Doesn't Care in the slightest. Use your own flag to sell your food not mine. Following my negative review this owner woman attacked my sister verbally in public on Two occasions. People have a right to make an honest review without reprisal and aggression from you.

Excellent service Excellent food 1st class and lunchtime menu 3 courses for £18.95 can't go wrong. Will definitely be returning very soon. If you haven't been your missing out. 😄😄😄.

We had a very disappointing experience at the new Belluno’s restaurant this weekend. Customer service was awful, the restaurant lacks any atmosphere, and the food was unimpressive. Laminated menus stuck together with old food, noise level so high we couldn’t hear ourselves speaking. It’s a shame as the old restaurant was so nice. We’ll not eat there again as there’s so many better places to eat in the area.

First time we had been since they moved. Absolutely wonderful. The decor and ambience was just right and the food was AMAZING. We were a family of 6, children and adults, and all of us said it was one of the best meals we’ve had for ages. We had a range of dishes - pasta, pizza, risotto, garlic bread, wine and puddings. All fantastic and I can’t wait to go again.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. We arrived at 8pm and was waiting 45 mins for someone to take our order then an additional hour and a half for our food, one of the pizzas we ordered had 2 hairs on the plate. The manager/waitress argued with us and was disgustingly rude I would never go back to this place, avoid this place at all costs because of the rude staff and poor food.

Had a delicious pasta salmon dish. The staff were excellent.

Food was super mega amazing!! We ordered penne pasta and risotto fruti di mari... O M G!! wouldn't be able to say which one was tastier!! Service was very friendly. They brought us the wrong risotto at first but were happy to change it and took them less than 5 min to bring the correct one. They were very apologetic as well. Place is nicely decorated and was full of people, which is a good sign! Would go back 100%

Our first visit since their recent move to new premises in Bideford. The service was 1st class, attentive but not over the top, the menu looked good enough to eat, loads of choice, good prices and freshly cooked. They do get busy so booking is advised but well worth a visit. We had a plate of mixed sweets to finish between 4 of us and OMG, they were all gorgeous, you wanted to lick the plate. Will definitely eat there in the future.

Beware if ordering from online takeaway menu!! I did a takeaway order using the online menu on their website. Priced at around £38. Collected and it was £59! Called and questioned after as was confused and they said their website was out of date and I should of been told on the phone which I wasn't! Or wouldn't of ordered!

Lovely meal with friends in Belluno's new location. Beautifully decorated, the new space is great and the food and service top notch. We all enjoyed everything we had - stand out dishes were the garlic, tomato and pesto bread, the mussels and the anti-pasti. But as said, all the food was superb. We look forward to visiting again soon!

We’ve been coming to Belluno for several years now, and happy to report the food is still as wonderful as ever (they’ve moved to a more spacious location on the high street). Angela is a wonderful host - she can’t do enough to help - and her energy is incredible. The head chef here is really talented. If you draw your stomach away from the traditional pizzas (exceptional) and pastas, definitely try one of the daily fish specials - you won’t be disappointed! A great place for kids too - a well priced children’s menu and a nice buzzy atmosphere so it doesn’t matter if they get a bit loud!!

What experience. We booked a table and when we turned up,, apparently we weren't booked in! Staff error, not even offered a free drink for their mistake

Nice food and friendly service. I visited a couple of times during my visit to Bideford. Booking is probably a good idea as it is popular with locals and visitors. The orange room has a unique atmosphere. Recommended if you're staying in Bideford.

Brilliant family lunch. Excellent food!! Given plenty of time as a large table, certainly not rushed. One main forgotten but soon came out. Thank you, look forward to going back.

A nice local modern Italian, very busy the two days we visited. mussels were really good though I would say the other dishes were a touch too salty.

I had been to Belluno in the past & always had an excellent experience - this time it was completely dreadful & I would never eat there again. The restaurant was v quiet - only 4 tables occupied. I’ll bullet point the issues for clarity as there were so many of them: 1) We had to wait for 20 minutes to be served & in the end had to call the staff over to order. 2) We ordered starters & mains - all food was served at the same time because’we hadn’t specified that some items were starters & others were mains’ - despite ordering from the menu. 3) One of our party is allergic to peas & asked not to be served them - the dish arrived with peas twice! 4) I ordered steak & asked for it to be very well done-brown all the way through-it had to be sent back 4 times to be cooked they way I asked for. The manager tried to lecture me on how to cook/eat steak & said if it had to be brown all the way through the outside would be burned. We explained how to cook steak. She then said it had been cooked in the pizza oven. 5) The restaurant website is out of date & doesn’t provide current location. 6) I ordered a desert which arrived looking like a mess. Dreadful service, dreadful food apart from the starters. V v disappointed - & complimentary desserts do not make up for a shoddy experience.

The tables and chairs were far too close together and the waiters had to constantly squeeze through the narrow gaps it was most distracting. Very noisy due to the large space and no soft furnishings to absorb the noise. It is attractive inside, however I much preferred the old venue where the waiting staff were more attentive you felt you were in an Italian restaurant the new place has a corporate chain feeling. The food was as good as ever.

First visit to them and now in their new premises bottom of Bideford High Street,not up near market so easier to get to. Ate of a 2-3 course priced lunch menu. Had Steak,Pizza,Pasta off it,all very nice,good value

Amazing food. Could have eaten everything on the menu. Even the chef made a mistake on my dessert, which I didn't realise and they came out with another and apologised. Even my fussy parents took their card promising to come back

Belluno restaurant moved to new address High str 83 it's is bigger and more fancy now. Food are delicious !

Burnt pizza, lasagne with sauce like sawdust, slow service don't really make for good experiences and so that proved to be the case. Disappointed as the place came well recommended. Prices were not great with a glass of wine £7.95. Definitely won't be back there.

We had a lovely evening in their new restaurant celebrating my husband's birthday recently. There is a lovely mood to the place as you walk in, - with staff equally as pleasant to look after you for the evening. Well done!

It's moved to 84 High Street, it was busy when we arrived at 18:10, advise you book a table, muscles for starters were excellent, and so were the meatballs, just about ate all the meal, the missus enjoyed her meal as well. Car park not to far away on Bridge Street, free after 18:00.

Very good good service and good food

We went there with some friends on a day trip, the food was top quality. Delicious, fresh and authentic - would definitely recommend their fish of the day dish! Ours was a pan fried sea bass with a delicious complimentary sauce which tasted amazing!

Terrific new venue for Belluno and great food too!! We'll be back!!

Went for dinner with the wife and 2 kids. Nothing else was open which worked in our favour as we wouldn’t normally go for an Italian. Staff were amazing and welcoming and the food was top notch and the potions were great. Highly recommend

A pal and I popped in without a booking, Beluno were very welcoming and friendly, they found us a table immediately. The food is always amazing, I had the seafood linguine which was bursting with mussels, prawns and squid. I would highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant!!
