Tripadvisor needs to update its records. Went here for dinner based on the Tripadvisor listing only to find it is takeaway only.

Initial customer support was good and cheery, however that all changed on further contact. The food was substandard, tiny little chicken balls I’m a slimy lemon sauce. When I called to feedback, a lady took a list of the issues of which there were lots, some other person in the background was shouting “that’s not right, the chow main is soggy” my complaint was not taken seriously and considering I’d been there before with no complaints, I can assure after no offer of compensation after wasting nearly £70 plus fuel, I will not be back. Take some reasonable advice, save yourself the bother and go elsewhere. As a food blogger, they should have done so much better.

If you want a good chinese,don't go here,Food is over priced,waited over 3 hours,was not impressed when it finally arrived it was all cold,stodgy,overcooked,the worst chinese I've had,never again 😡 I paid over £30 for 2 people and they wouldnt offer any money back as they said it was late due to lots of traffic,total lies

First and last time using them. Sadly meal took ages to arrive and not as good as others in the area. I appreciate it’s busy in the run up to Christmas, but just say when we order that it’s going to be delayed.

Ordered a takeaway for 3 adults, whilst here on holiday. £50 * Special fried rice, nice (minus bbq sauce- not sure what that’s about?) * Chicken chow mein ok bit sloppy texture * sweet & sour pork balls - the pork was hard! * spring rolls - oh my goodness yuk! Batter not cooked & full on taste of bamboo shoots. Tasted horrible. * beef in black been sauce was ok * prawn crackers were nice

Best Chinese in North Devon. Affordable, great quality and lovely service. Always eat here. If I could cretic one thing is I wish they had a sit down area and a couple more authentic Chinese dishes but love it as how it is already

We were a family group of 14. Placed an order by phone, lots of different dishes with some adaptations. Great customer service over the phone. Collection time given. All food was plentiful, tasty and hot. Highly recommended

Lovely Chinese meal! We had this delivered to our holiday cottage in Bideford and they didn’t disappoint. Prices are reasonable. Food was fresh. No grease on every dish we had. Delivery driver was quick. Highly recommend

Rang through order, which was dealt with efficiently. The food was ready for collection, even though it was a large order for 6. It was still hot when we got home. The portions were a good size, and all the food tasted great, and was resonably priced. I would definitely recommend this Takeaway thanks.

Firstly do not pay attention to the poor reviews stating the food tasted like dishwater. It sounds like that group of people were trying to scam a free meal. Staff were very nice and service was quick, they were quite clearly busy but the food still cam in relatively good time. The value for food was great with good portion and great tasting food. I'm not too sure what the deal was with their poor reviews, I guess they must be used to Gordon Ramsey cooking their Chinese takeaway in Oldham.

Great Chinese takeaway, always and consistent with their quality and service . Compares with the best that London has to offer . Also the dude on the till is so cool . 👍

We would definitely go back. From the start, the chap on the till, clearly inundated with orders, via phone and walk ins, dealt with it all so professionally, remaining calm, polite and efficient. Singapore noodles were lovely but had bean sprouts in them, which we hadn’t experienced before from any restaurant in this dish and unfortunately we don’t like them but we’ll remember next time to request otherwise. The king chilli prawns were amazing as they have been before hence we returned. Chicken chow mein was apparently equally enjoyable (we ordered without the bean sprouts) and almost dry rather than the wet slop sometimes delivered from some establishments 😱😁. Prawn rice was great value, plenty of king prawns and the rice was lovely. We will be ordering again. Thank you.

We always order from here; the food is always delivered hot and it's not too greasy like alot of Chinese takeaways. The staff are friendly and deliveries arrive promptly. Portion sizes are also generous - the king prawn satay skewers are the best!

Having had problems before with takeaways (not tintins)I’ve not had one for ages but after contacting and phoning the person on the phone couldn’t be more helpful being told the food is cooked to order so say can adapt some dishes I ordered mushroom fried rice and vegetable satay and veg in black bean sauce and I can honestly say it was fantastic sadly I’m moving soon but can recommend this place.thumbs up to all the staff

Standard Chinese food takeaway - cheap prices but we didn't think the food was quite the quality we normally pay a little more for - for example no king prawns in a special chow mein - just a couple of shrimps etc. but otherwise perfectly satisfactory. Really busy so clearly popular with the locals. Very prompt service of out order.

Found this place by chance last month and have to say the Food is very good all Cooked Fresh the Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup has plenty of Chicken in and Satay King Prawn is great, service is fast and with a simile.

Arrived to the establishment was made to feel comfortable and the staff were polite and upbeat could do no more than they did to please us !! The food was of great quality great value for money with meal prices etc so well worth going here as would be great idea for a birthday meal etc five stars from me thanks guys

I was the delivery driver for the review running tin tins food down yes they did tip me but not £13 as statedit was £6-50 but they were on the phone to the manager whe i returned who kept calm when trying to sort it out only to be asked why are you working in a chinky talk about being rude. I'm putting this on as i think the people who have said this are being totally unfair.

Bitterly disappointed with the food. Very expensive which wouldn't of been a problem if the food was good.Food wasnt cooked properly, pretty sure they emptied the dish water in the chicken satay. Phoned up to complain and was met with aggressive management. Was offered refund for food but no one to come and pick up offered to take back and excuses where made. Wouldn't recommend.

Ordered a £90 takeaway yesterday with a £13 tip to the driver who was really pleasant and also shocked we'd tipped that good to the point he said "are you sure?" I said yes the he smiled and said "I'm not asking twice".

Lovely little place in Bideford, nice chinese with friendly staff. Very typical in style and always had good food. I would definitely recommend this place

we ordered salt and chilli chicken , salt and chilli chips and a chicken chow mein , with a curry sauce , we were really hungry so was looking forword to this meal after a long drive . the place was lovely and clean and the staff couldnt have been any nicer . but the food was a little dissapointing , the chips tasted like oven chips and the chicken tasted very dry , the chow mein was nice but the meal as a whole could have been a lot better .

came to devon mid november and although this restraunt does not look very large from outside (more of a takeaway) it is nice and goes back quite a long way, The food is lovely and comes out veryhot, Good menu and although they have set menu deals if you ask they offer another deal if there are 2 of you including starters and mains

Been to Tin Tins a few times now with a large group of work friends and always received fabulous customer service and fabulous food. Definitely recommend.

Had a takeaway tonight (crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken, pork balls, 2 rice, seaweed and prawn crackers) and it was all really, really good.Had to wait about80 minutes for it to be delivered but it was a Saturday night and it was well worth the wait!

Very impressed with this restaurant, looks small at the front but has loads of room at the back. Excellent food and very efficient and helpful staff.

We use Tintin for our Chinese food regularly, usually for takeaway. The food is very good and the staff pleasant and efficient. Orders are always ready when they say they will be.

Eat here a couple of times whilst on holiday in 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had, stayed in the area again in May this year so went back and had another very good meal.Service is good and staff are friendly, food is good quality.Don't remember anything standing out as being worth recommending though the sesame prawn toast I recall enjoying, but nothing disappointed either and given that I always over order we took back what we didn't eat to two very happy dogs !Had take away from here too which was just as good....

Went following the good reviews, and glad we did. Had spring rolls and prawn toast starters, followed by beef with seasonal veg, chicken with pineapple and Singapore veg noodles. All very delicious. We will be back!

Had a takeaway from here and was impressed with the portion size, we had aload left for breakfast the next day. We enjoyed the food so much we are thinking about going in to the resaurant next time

We order our Chinese from here regularly, delivery times vary from half an hour to just over an hour but the food is always excellent, crispy duck in plum sauce is my favourite. The staff are very polite and always warn us if there will be a wait, food always arrives piping hot.

The food was so tasty the best I have had in a long time, and the Service was great and staff were very helpful and friendly

On a break for a few days in Bideford we fancied a Chinese. Found the restaurant on Google maps and walked to it from the river. It is tucked away down a little side street , and looks small but opens like a tardis when you go in. The staff are amazing can't do enough for you and customised the dishes to suit our 12 year old. Service was fast and the food was very tasty, our son even managed to master chopsticks. A really lovely meal it made our day . Would highly recommend it .

We nearly walked past but fortunately my daughter was insistent on Chinese.We had a prawn toast and seaweed, which were good sized portions. Then crispy duck with pancakes, followed by a mixture of dishes from the menu - all were really delicious (and, like the starters, were large portions which nearly was too much even for our children ).Service was prompt and friendly, and we'll certainly be back next time we're in Bideford.

I ordered a meal at 18.25hrs. The lad said be an hour because they were busy, phoned again at 19.50 the lad said, "it left at 19.45 so should be there soon!! It's in the car!! Ok!!!! At 20.15 I phoned to say it's still not here, so please cancel the order as it is not going to be the warmest is it? The lad did say oh it is cooked to order!! Yea! But how long ago?? Got to say the meal we ordered on a previous date was not the warmest. Last time we use them!!

Having read many good reviews I was excited to experience Tintin for myself... and I was delighted. The staff are very friendly welcoming and accommodating. We had booked a table being beautifully decorated with little red hearts scattered over the tablecloth. The room was decorated with red balloons with white hearts which created just the right atmosphere for Valentines Day.The menu has a wide choice and a separate section for vegetarian food.The vegetable soup was full of fresh vegetables and very flavoursome.Followed by two yummy vegetable dishes and egg fried rice.Thoroughly recommend this establishment. All cooked to perfection.

Always very tasty food from Tin Tin either from takeaway or by sitting in. The variety of food is good with plenty to choose from on the menu. Well worth a visit to sit in and eat served reasonably quickly as it all cooked to order and fresh.

Always had excellent service here. The tastiest sesame prawn toast ever and the Peking crispy duck us tasty, cooked to perfection and always generous helpings. Very helpful staff

Used this takeaway twice during our stay in Bideford. First time we phoned our order and was delivered in about 45 minutes which was what we were told to expect. Second time we called in and ordered. Both times the food was excellent and certainly amongst the best Chinese takeaway we have had anywhere.Would use again when in the area.

Recently ordered a take-away from TinTins-first rate-not greasy,fresh and tasty would certainly recommend.Good customer service and although we had to wait a bit longer than we expected for delivery it was well worth the wait.

Food was delicious, fresh and great portions. Given the deals and prices as well, it was also excellently priced.The restaurant itself is cosy and quaint, well kept and quite a pleasant atmosphere. The service is amazing, with almost every member of staff willing and happy to help, including the chef who was passing us on his way to his break.Overall, 5/5 for all these things considered. Will be coming back again and absolutely recommend to others.

The menu selection is very varied and caters for all tastes. The £15 special is very good value for money. If dining at weekends it is advisable to book a table to save disappointment. The Manager is very customer friendly and the service is exceptional, no long wait for food to arrive at table. Takeaway service and delivery available.

Had a takeaway from here last night. It was delicious! The staff were courteous, 20 minute wait for the food, obviously a popular restaurant as the phone was ringing off the hook with orders the whole time I was waiting. The food was tasty and not at all greasy, I would definitely recommend it.

A friend took me here for a birthday meal. Lovely venue, not what I had expected looking in the window. Quick service. Had the set meal for £15 a person, more than enough food and plenty to choose from. Look forward to visiting again. They even put leftover food from our meal in box to take away.

I've ordered here once so far as a change from our usual Chinese. It was absolutely spot on. Everything was very fresh and tasted great! It was completely different to our usual and we really enjoyed it although it did take a long time to come though I can only say it must be because they are so popular! so in future we will just order earlier, definitely will use again and recommend .

This is a Chinese takeaway with a nicely decorated seating area to the rear…about 40 covers. You can order any of the standard meals you would expect in any Chinese anywhere in the country so a good place to nip in for a bite to eat after a couple of sherbets in the town’s hostelries! Prices are reasonable and we found the service polite and pleasant…shuts about 11pm which is later than a lot of kitchens in Bideford.

Arrived in Bideford on Friday evening, it was cold and wet, looking for somewhere to eat I found this Chinese Resturant in a side Street off the Quay. It didn't look much from the outside but I went in and was pleasantly surprised. The girl at the reception was very cheery and helpful, she showed me into the restaurant which was quiet but allowing for the time( 5pm) not unexpected. The table was clean, service was good and the meal satisfying and reasonably priced. I would go back.

Tin TIn is our favourite Chinese restaurant/take away ( we always order it as take away ) We get service with a smile and the staff seem happy in their work. They will tell us if delivery times are long in which case we can go and collect if needs be. We have never had a bad meal from there unlike other places which can be a bit hit and miss....their crispy beef is crispy every time. They have an extensive menu so you're sure to find something you like !

We thought we would treat the family to a Chinese take away tonight. Tin Tins are our favourite Chinese in Bideford. So we prepared an order for take away and my husband collected it. Among the dishes we ordered were a special chow mein and a young chow fried rice, both of which contained prawns. We dished everyone up a portion and tucked in, everything seemed great. That was until my husband bit into one of the prawns, it was foul tasting and had a funny smell. He spat it straight out and I immediately looked through my children's plates to remove any of the remaining dishes that they hadn't already eaten. I then picked through some of the prawns in each of the dishes in the containers. Although some smelt ok, there were definitely several that had the same foul smell as the one my husband bit into. We were then left with a load of dishes with no rice or noodles to accompany, we therefore decided we would return the rest of the chow mein and rice dish to Tin Tins. Firstly, we wanted to avoid this happening to any other customers and secondly, because we were pretty furious that we had given this food to our three children and at the possibility that they may have eaten one of the prawns!Fifteen minutes later my husband returned with the news that in fact Tin Tin had denied that there was anything at all wrong with the prawns and had refused to issue us with a refund. They were happy to recook the dishes, but point blank refused to give us even a partial refund. This was simply not good enough. Our whole meal (almost £40 worth) had been ruined, we did not want fresh rice and noodles to eat with our now cold crispy beef and chicken dish. We are regular customer's at Tin Tins and are bitterly disappointed at how we have been treated. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? We were told it was because the prawns had been sat in water! Both of us have eaten prawns countless times, in countless different places and apart from the one time that I got food poisoning, I have never tasted or smelt prawns like that. The fact that we are regular customers and have never complained in the past should tell the staff at Tin Tins that we deserve a refund.So beware everyone, and either avoid or check those prawns before you tuck in.In the meantime I am keeping my fingers crossed that none of my little ones ate one of those prawns.

Have eaten here a couple of times and the food is really tasty, all the usual Chinese options as well as a few Thai and English dishes. The buffet option is good value and as it is cooked to order it is much fresher and nicer than if it had been sitting out. The only dish I wasn't too keen on was the Thai green curry vegetables as it was too sweet for my liking but everything else (soup,crispy duck, pork ribs,sweet and sour pork etc.) was excellent. Worth a visit.

10 of us booked in for the Buffet. The food was excellent - we had a great variety of dishes between us and everybody enjoyed it. Can thoroughly recommend the Crispy Duck! Service was fast and first rate. Waiting staff were very friendly but unobtrusive. It was warm and comfortable. What more can you ask for? Just one small thing a rectangular or round table would have been nice for better conversation! But that's all. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
