Was a good, quick meal for 2 on a Saturday eve just after peek service time. Quite a few family's were still sat in the restaurant. Everyone seemed very relaxed, staff and customers alike. Good lighting, clean restaurant and warm atmosphere! We were running late .. But the staff were lovely - friendly, flexible and accommodating. The food came out in good time and was hot, tasty and reasonably priced for the size of the meal. The chap on the bar was a good laugh, shame I don't remember his name. Drinks were a reasonable price too. Will be back! Will recommended 😊

We had a table for 10 booked but we needed an extra 2 seats. Gentleman went into great detail of how he would move the table around for us and sent us to the bar to get a drink. (The restaurant was empty). From that point onwards this gentleman/waiter mentioned how the bar closed at 9, he wanted the kitchen closed, could we order deserts quickly and pay by card as he had closed the tills and needed to open one up again and he would have to keep the kitchen running, he constantly wanted to get things closed up as soon as possible and mentioned something to this affect every single time he came to the table. We have eaten here several times over the Christmas period and not come across this employee. It should be noted that some of our party were actually staying in the Premier Inn. I shall be doing my best not to eat here again, we felt extremely unwelcome and inconvenient. Absolutely horrendous.

Good value no frills restaurant. A bit limited for vegetarians but what we had was good and reasonably priced.

Visited for breakfast with santa. Breakfast had a large choice and you could revisit for more. Grandkids were happy to get a gift from santa. But you had to go other to another bit to see santa. Would have been nicer if santa wandered around a bit, speaking to kids. Ais then would have felt more like a breakfast with santa, rather than eat you breakfast, then pop over to another bit to see santa

Ate there for Christmas Day. The food was of an OK standard with the focus being more on getting covers in than the food standard, which was a shame. Of the different brewers st I have eaten this is one of the better one. The staff are very friendly. The price for the meal was overcharged but expected for this day. All in all an OK day with room for improvement.

Absolutely disgusting meal, we went for xmas dinna, we went in at 6pm, so not late , no turkey no vegetables, had to have steak, chips and half a tomato, and had to pay extra, with half dinna missing bye bye brewers fare we won't be back .

We eat here regularly as we find it value for money for a cheap lunch. However, it can be a bit hit and miss with length of waits, quality of food and general mistakes with food orders. I would say 75% of the time, we're very happy with the food/service. Staff are generally pleasant but hate that you have to order at the bar now. Lots of discounts with the app too.

Arrived at Brewer’s Fayre Bideford for our prepaid breakfast as I was staying next door. Unacknowledged by Ben who was just stood sour faced by the door. I said my room number only to be moaned at for not booking a table and that there are a million notices in the hotel reception (since found 2) he then proceeded to moan that there was no tables and that they don’t know what the hotel is doing as they have pre-booked a table of 25 spread all across the restaurant and that he was having to move everything around. It was 840am on a Sunday morning and apart from 3 table (2 couples and a gentleman on his own) the whole restaurant was empty. We then proceeded to listen to him moan at staff about hotel bookings not booking tables. I was in the restaurant for an hour eating breakfast and observed Ben who I then found out was the general manager that anyone who had prepaid from the hotel he had an issue with and was moaning and saying there were no tables only to eventually seat them but making them feel awful. Anyone who was paying on the day he got a spring in his step took there payment and sat them at the many free tables. I’ve never experienced such awful customer service and to find out Ben is the general manager is a joke. I feel sorry for his staff they must go home feeling depressed after his constant moaning a manger is meant to encourage and uplift a work force. Will not be returning. After reading other reviews which name Ben in them obviously this is an issue that has not been addressed or resolved.

Excellent Service from start to finish....The Mixed Grill was Superb....... would definitely recommend to family and friends.....First Class.....

We ate dinner here as a big family group for a birthday celebration. Food was delivered all at the same time, tasty and great service... recommend!

10/10 we are regular visitors. Every week. Staff are so helpful and friendly especially Dylan, nothing is too much trouble, he makes us feel welcome, he is polite and always smiling.

Very good service with no drama and quick timing on food arrivals. Food was stunning too. Would come again 100%.

We arrived at 21.15 and was told it was lest orders and no food as the kitchen was closed that was before we had got to the bar. The web site says open till 11pm. I can see why pubs are closing down . So we called McDonald's over the road half the price of the pub .

Great service and food. Dan that greated us and showed to our table and the girl that looked after us most of the night was fantastic.

2nd time I have ate in this place whilst staying at Premier Inn and bar closes at 930pm despite saying 11pm on website and didn’t even hear last orders called out - will stay elsewhere when next down

Went for a Sunday carvery with the family, excellent food and drink all for under £50

I have autism, and we had an anxiety dog with us. We got introduce to Tanya, who took us to our table and then khloe served us and Simon Help us with our questions staff were lovely friendly and helpful and went the extra mile

Very poor service and extremely miserable waitress from start to finish and we're local definitely won't bother going back again and I don't expect a response either 😔

Typical pub chain, standard fare, free refills on soft drinks and coffee. Comfortable, views- there aren't any. Toilets clean and tidy.

Worst restaurant experience in a long time !!! Im not going to go into details of the complaint here due to it’s severity but i am now in contact with environmental health (allergy issues) and the operators of brewers whitbread ceo. Very serious complaints over Two male members of staff , one being the male bar tender and the other being the shift manager .

Went to have breakfast this morning to be told that it wasn’t possible, before I even turned up the app was saying they had availability. Rude isn’t the word. You are in the food industry, busy shouldn’t be a word in your vocabulary……….. WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN………

Let us sneak in despite being fully booked. Great guy on front of house (sat 21st september), super helpful and understanding of our needs, having a little one and needing a quick bite. Recommend. Book early as often fully booked!

Value for money breakfasts and meals

Two meals out of three, excellent. One meal, smothered chicken was over cooked and a little tough. However, on the whole a nice place with good staff, and nice atmosphere.

The mixed salad with extras (chicken breast) and jacket potato was excellent value. Server was Dillon who was very attentive. All round good value and service

We turned up for breakfast to be told no spaces even though it was 20% full, looked online at the door to book and said I could book a table now, showed the member of staff and she still said no come back in half hour. Went outside and booked the next time slot in 15 minutes time and went back in and was shown to table. Breakfast was ok but service off the one member of staff not ok.

Fab food and great customer service. We hadn’t booked but they still managed to get us a table as it was my daughter’s birthday!

Went to brewers fayre Bideford it was very quiet but as we had a dog was going to eat outside went in to order and was told they can't serve food outside so it is not dog friendly as they claim if you want to eat staff not helpful at all only brewers fayre I know that you can not eat outside would not even give it 1 star but had to put something

Have gone to this pub before, and had an all round experience, this visit was very good we had a lovely lad called Dillan he was very helpful and as I was having the cocktail deal, he knew his stuff, also so did the rest of the staff there. The menu had a good choice of foods, and when the food came out it was very good.

Crap, poor quality food cooked by bad chefs served in a down market scummy soul-less so called pub. Just about as a bad as you can get. Perfectly fits with the Aldi and the council estate being built around it.

Deb , Simon where very helpful on seating us and Tanya was was polite on serving are drinks and food was delicious as well

Excellent quality food and terrific service

Sunday lunch carvery was delicious, the veggie burger and nachos also highly recommended. The manager Ben, was very accommodating, funny and welcoming. Even gave us a doggy bag for our left over meat we didn't finish (for our dogs) will be back!

Don't sit on table 23 it is to near the door,, very drafter about from that ok.

It took one hour to get your main meal. This is a joke...the restaurant is not even full. Cannot comment on food quality as still waiting for it....

Nice friendly great service & food

We had booked ahead but arrived early. Was still shown straight to our table. The restaurant is clean and well laid out. We ordered starters, mains, desserts and drinks for 2 x adults and 5 children and came to just over £70! Food was served quickly. It was delicious and fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Ordered a mixed grill and smothered platter. Both delicious. Initially the steak on the platter was very tough, couldn't cut it! Discretely told the girl at the bar and she changed it promptly.

Couldn't get in as booking system was down the restaurant looked half empty

The restaurant was very busy, so unfortunately our visit was extremely rushed to escape the noisy atmosphere, but the food was extremely good and we will return on a quieter period.

We had pizza and salad. The chicken on both was lovely, tender and well cooked. Staff were a little gruff but it seemed to be an extra busy lunch rush. Food took 40minutes, too long imo and came out immediately when prompted. Not a bad experience, food saved the day

IF I could have given zero star I would have. Not expecting anything wonderful from a cheap place .However edible would have been nice .Lasagne very poor there is more beef in a tin of beef ravioli than what was served, and only 1/2 sheet of lasagne the rest was melted cheese .Worst chicken breast I have had .So be warned cheap but not cheerful in any way shape or form .Pay the extra go somewhere nice

Hi I’ve been staying in Bideford for the last 7 mouths in the premier inn and I have been dining there all the time the food is next to nothing and the staff will do anything for you but there is 1 member of staff with a stinking attitude and his name is David don’t think he should be in this game

The service was ok , my wife’s meal was ok but the vegetarian option was not good, it had been blasted in a microwave, I understand it’s a chain but I have eaten out in others Brewers Fayre but to be honest it was very poor

Staff were very friendly and when asked a question they answered and delivered a great service and went the extra mile when there was a slight mix up with my son's order of pizza. They served up another one very quickly and without any fuss. Would recommend and will be back

Please add more sauce and ideally a side (e.g. poppadom) to the delicious Katsu curry, for that price it wasn't enough. That's said my family loved their meals (kids 3 course inc. Mac and cheese, and 2 burgers for the boys).

Food was fine - it's nothing special but for the price point, there's not really anything to complain about. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy and there can be families with screaming kids sometimes. My own kids actually commented on how naughty and loud some of the other kids were. This isn't really a reflection on the place though as they can't really control what other people's kids are doing. Service seemed fine, staff were friendly. You have to go up to the bar to order. Also the 25% off advertised on the tables seems to be deliberately delayed so you can't use it on your current sitting.

Good basic pub dinner at Brewers Fayre, Bideford. Had just finished watching the England’s quarter final match on Saturday evening and needed to have a quick good quality pub dinner. Restaurant/pub is vey large and nicely decorated, staff very pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed our meals.

Very friendly staff and plenty to eat on the carvery. Food was very tasty.

Ordered chicken tikka , was tasty enough but so watered down probably as it was the cheaper lunch deal. Wasn't too impressed this time.

The food was good quality and portion for money. And the atmosphere was mediocre However the service was top notch. Unbelievably good, it left a grin ear to ear for the kids on the table. Dylan really did make it a good experience in that pub

Simply the best steak we have eaten in a very long time. The burger chips were also amazing. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and tidy. We stayed in the hotel which does meal deals, but we did not use that, would recommend the hotel too.

Great service from Dylan despite it being very busy….. everything fresh and piping hot. Fish pie excellent. I’d come again.

Dylan was an amazing waiter for me and my family this evening, every time we come here he is always so attentive, always have to have him as our waiter!

Awful, miserable and rude staff, even when you are placing your order at bar. Meant to be a family friendly establishment but felt unwelcome with children, unacceptable comments made towards us by the tall plump bloke.

Never been to a place that serves breakfast to be rudely told they won't serve me breakfast. No "walk in's" apparently. Anyone would think I was a tramp walking in off the street. Find somewhere else to have a breakfast that will gladly take your money and not be rude to you.

We were pleasantly surprised, thought it was going to be like weatherspoons, but it's was far better. Would you defo recommend it for a cheap meal that was cooked really well couldn't find fault.

Over recent times we have not used Brewers Fayre restaurants because of indifferent food and service. We recently holidayed in Devon with friends and through convenience stopped off at the Bideford restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly young gentleman who on request seated us at a window table. We were all very happy with the excellent service we received from the young gentleman and just as happy with the quality and presentation of the food. If we are in the Bideford area again we would certainly visit again. Thank. Recommended.

Lovely meal here with the family

Lovely roast, plenty of veg to choose from. Nice to have a blue light card discount. My only moan would be the vegetarian option, if you don't like meat, being given something that is suggested as like chicken, defeats the object! Had a nut roast there a few years ago which was lovely. Very friendly staff and service.

Booked a table last minute for my friend and myself. Was greeted straight away and lead to a lovely table. Ordered food and drinks at the bar and was served very quickly by a smiley very efficient and pleasant member of staff. We ordered the 2 for £11.49 meal deal and 2 ciders. Food was delicious and enough to fill us up. Unfortunately no room for puddings. All in all, staff were fab, food great and totally enjoyed our meal. Thankyou.

Whats going on with PI breakfast as this was dire! Man on door was so miserable to the point of being unwelcoming (obviously doesnt enjoy his job). The breakfast ingredients were very basic and bland. There were no decaf tea bags and I was advised by the equally unhappy waitress that PI have stopped doing them and theres no longer any costa coffee either? The juice was watered down concentrate, the fruit salad unedible and we had to keep moving tables due to their being remains of the night before food under them (stale chips, etc). Awful breakfast, awful disinterested staff. Only saving grace was the toast! Go elsewhere for breakfast.

I've improved my rating because its been a long time and I can say I did enjoy my experience. I had a smothered platter which, although lacking in vegetables was a satisfying and hearty meal. Service was good. They asked how I wanted the steak. I'm leaving happy.

Booked this part of a meal deal at Premier Inn. Starter of chicken wings was cold and not cooked properly. Over charged for kids meals. Manager did return with free drinks and refund not before saying F$%^ this in front of my 11 yr old. Breakfast was nice although no orange juice. Wouldn't rush to return
