Teignmouth has more than its fair share of boozers, really good to see when many pubs are closing down. This is a no-nonsense pub, right on the harbourside (and I mean RIGHT on the harbourside!). Bet it's lovely to sit outside on a sunny day. We were there on a rainy February night, and there was a band just warming up ready to play. Friendly bar staff. Cheap drinks.

Just had the best Sunday roast at the new fountain Inn! Even though they were incredibly busy, the service was fantastic, we had a fabulous variety of vegetables and side dishes and a really tasty roast! The whole family had a really lovely time. Thank you to all the staff.

After my car broke down outside The Royal Oak, I was welcomed into the pub and looked after like a long-time local by the wonderful family who run it. They could not have been more kind and helpful. When I returned the next day to organise my car to be towed, again they were so open and supportive. I did eat lovely fish and chips there too. A great local pub, that I wish I had near me so I could frequent it often. Not only were the management fantastic but the locals were equally friendly, sincere and welcoming. Such a wonderful experience after what could have been a real disaster!

Cracking homely, local pub which is great for a few drinks and/or meal. Warm and friendly staff, nice, relaxed atmosphere. Serves good, homemade, tasty traditional pub grub with wide selection available and all reasonably priced. Itâs nothing fancy but doesnât try to be and thatâs why we love it. Itâs popular and often gets busy, even on some weeknights, so worth booking if you are going with a group or have in mind a particular time to go.

Have eaten here now 4 or 5 times in the last 12 months since becoming a permanent resident in Seaton. The pub is family run friendly and welcoming serving good homemade meals at a good price. The Friday night steak night is very popular and booking is highly recommended. Sunday lunch is also excellent. Always find staff at the kings arms welcoming and friendly, this is definitely a pub we recommend to visitors and friends.

We enjoyed the 2.5 mile walk to this cafe from Woolacoombe. The facilities at Putsborough were terrific and if every beach resort were like this, well people would never want to go abroad đ There is a large car park with some changing rooms at one end and some very clean toilets at the far end. Access to the cafe is down some steps at one side or via a slope at the other. The cafe is also a shop and like an Aladdinâs cave. Kids would love browsing in here. There is a large menu which includes breakfast baps, various sandwiches, burgers and other stuff but we enjoyed the nachos with chilli and accompanied by salsa, guacamole and soured cream. A big plateful for ÂŁ12. The coffee was fine but nothing to write home about. Big shout out to the old boy who was serving. I suspected he might be a volunteer but he was friendly, efficient and polite.

Although we use the pub regularly for meals, I have found over the last three or four times of going for a meal, especially in the evenings, there doesn't appear to be enough staff. I thought the first time it happened, someone was off sick and they were coping with just the one lady behind the bar. However its not the case as every time i have been in, only one lady behind the bar, pulling pints, taking orders for food and then waitressing to the tables. Tonight was no exception, and I must say, the six nations were on the TV , it was fish and chip Friday and the place was packed. Andrea had no clean glasses or cutlery to hand, she was running around the place cleaning up , serving , delivering food and basically could have done with another pair of hands. The chef was on his own so had no help with the dishwasher either. When you know its going to be a busy night with 6 nations rugby, and the added draw of fish and chip supper, along with it being a Friday night, when lets face it most people have had enough and want to relax, the pub is being run by one lady behind the bar and one chef, no KP in site. Come on whoever runs this pub, get yourself over there and give a hand , the staff are lovely always but there is only so much one person can actually do. food was delicious btw, but took a while to arrive.
