Visited with friends for the second time and service, food and staff were great. I thoroughly enjoyed the home made lasagne followed by eton mess. The others all enjoyed their meals as well, good portion size and service was friendly and efficient. Our dog was made very welcome to.

Arrived shortly before last food orders and staff kindly accommodated the request. Ordered the steak pudding with crisp potatoes and steaming veg, which was delicious after a long drive. Ale on tap could do with a wider selection but a pleasant meal in a nice surrounding, would recommend if in the area. Friendly atmosphere inside with mostly locals out for a weekend meal.

Went for first time with friends who are locals and had booked us in. Very friendly staff and good range of beers. Food was very good and some home made specials. Friend had fish cakes from specials menu and was pleased and I had home made biscoff cheesecake which was yummy and probably one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Would definately go again when in the area.

Found out food is only available Thursday to Sunday pub is closed Mon Tues and normally has to be booked in advance , which seems to be the norm in Seaton very difficult to get a pub meal .there are pubs open serving food in the area but if you don't book you could wait over an hour for service .the kings Arms is clean ,friendly staff , and appears to be a local pub frequented by regulars at the bar.

Poor customer service .Very disappointed with Kevin who appeared to be in charge but was in fact very rude and abrupt with us before we had even ordered our food .Two of us ordered the £12 Lasagne but I can honestly say it was no better than Morrison’s own brand .When we complained Kevin called us “mate” which to me is very unprofessional in my opinion . The chips were overcooked (fried several times !) as you can see in the photo . Portion size was not worth £12 but we were told we had the last 2 portions so I’m assuming that we had to share the last bit . 2 of the family members had the steak deal and enjoyed it ( apart from the well done chips !) .. Had Kevin been abit more professional our experience would’ve been more enjoyable ! I do think he needs to learn some manners and customer liaison etiquette !

This was our second visit in a month and much like the first, it was a treat of great tasty pub grub served by friendly people. My sirloin steak, cooked medium rare, was bob on. My wife, as far as I’m concerned, makes the best lasagne in the world. She said the one she had here was better. My boy had a burger and raved about it. Nice pint too! This will become our go to Friday night place.

Walked to this pub after reading reviews on trip advisor. I wouldn’t bother! Ordering a drink almost too much trouble, forget trying to get food. Covid means they only serve on a weekend, but guess what, it’s booked for weeks. Bar man almost happy he couldn’t accommodate us during our stay. Certainly not trying to recover their business after covid. Unfriendly and unwelcoming.

If well-cooked, honest (and ‘proper’) pub grub is your thing, then The King’s Arms in Seaton is the place for you. It has a cosy bar, a restaurant area and a wonderful beer garden which overlooks the beautiful Axe Valley. I ate here a number of times over the past month, and took advantage of their Friday Night Steak Deal (a beautifully cooked 8oz sirloin with all the trimmings for £10) and their lovely Sunday roast. All the meals here – including their ever-changing Specials Board – are very keenly priced, served within a reasonable time and were filling and delicious. Although not a fan of live music, Alan West & Steve Black have a regular Monday night slot which is extremely well-attended and also offers up the same steak deal as a Friday night (good enough reason to go in any instance!) All-in-all, The King’s Arms offers great food and drink at reasonable prices, and live music on a Monday - if that’s your thing.Do take note – the kitchen is closed on Thursday and Sunday nights – but as a small, family-run business, I guess the wonderful chef needs some time off from making all those delicious meals!

Our family thought of popping into The Kings Arms one evening time for a special meal, going past at lunch time my partner popped in double check opening times and was told 18:30pm. We came back that evening for that time and upon ordering our order I was bluntly told that they don't serve food to 18:45pm (note was happy for an early order.) and just as the man about order the Ploughman's another employee said to him that they don't serve it, even though I politely showed them copy of there menu as from there web page I was rudely ignored add to this Jacket potato only for Lunch time.. After drinks we left and had to find a Fish and Chip shop by which point was very late in the evening and little one's was very tired and hungry. From looking at the web site noted two slightly different web sites and the menu is not broken down into Lunch and Evening Meals, advertising for something they don't sell is false advertisement! For kid's play ground a very old broken tatty tree slide thingy bob, and a broken swing to seat, guess must be invisible. Great views though from the rough beer garden.

As this place has good Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to go on our first night of a break instead of self-catering.Very disappointed. The food was poor.. we both had a burger (leathery) on an ersatz bun with an unmelted bit of plastic cheese on top. The chips were soft.We were asked to sit about 10 feet from a wall mounted TV (don't know why, other seats were available so maybe they were booked) and an international football match was showing. Now I hate football being a rugby man myself but .. needs must. So that was on full blast with sound in my right ear (with one patron watching it) and in my left ear a radio station was doing its bit to add to the cacophony of sound we had to endure. Table was ... dirty to be honest and seats were uncomfortable.Beer .. a local brew but more like ale than beer.. perhaps the local brewery should review the type and quantity of hops they use.The one glimmer of hope was the service.. smashing lady who was very attentive.

After doing a lap of Seaton last night, both my husband and myself were staggered as to how quiet all the other pubs seemed particularly as we're slap bang in peak season. In the end we decided to try The King's Arms - which is just a few minutes from the seafront - and were not disappointed. The pub had excellent entertainment and was full of customers enjoying the music. Although we did not eat ourselves, many of the customers did and can only surmise by all the empty plates going back into the kitchen that the food was very good. The atmosphere in there was cracking and hand-in-hand with drinks at a sensible price and an attentive Landlord and bar maid - it all made for a great evening. If you haven't tried The King's Arms yet - do. It also boasts a belter of a beer garden that overlooks the beautiful Axe Valley. Excellent.

Nice food. Service was a bit slow in the restaurant but ok when we sat in the pub. They have a lovely garden to sit out in the summer.

The 3 of us were attending a local event in the town over the Easter weekend and decided to try out this pub. It was not a mistake. Very friendly staff and locals made us very welcome. A good local beer which was very well kept and great food. We all went for their steaks which are sourced locally and which melted in the mouth! We liked it so much that on both days we went in early afternoon and again after the event we were attending finished in the evening. Added bonus of good live music by Adam Sweet on the Sunday evening.Large restaurant to the back and a beer garden with a wonderful view.A good little pub and we will be going back.

We were looking forward to ‘Pie Night’ for a long time, since our friends had been previously. We were not disappointed! The pies were absolutely delicious - especially my fish pie. Out of this world good and hands down the BEST most scrumptious fish pie I’ve ever had. Extremely generous portions, hot veggies, yummy desserts and wonderful service. Really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go back for more.

Been to Hughsies again for a few meals while on holiday in Seaton. Lovely breakfasts freshly cooked and good service. Lunches were a more difficult choice as there was a good selection and I know from experience that whatever we chose would be delicious. I have seen a number of negative comments on here but my husband and I have never had a problem. Nice clean cafe and good fresh cooked meals. We will be back again next year.

A very pleasant evening with friends. The food was excellent although I was surprised that certain items were seen as 'sides' - as an example we had a delicious Cotê De Boeuf at a cost of £120 (shared between 2) and had to pay extra for 'seasonal vegetables' (kale and french beans) which wasn't even offered as a menu item. My disappointment was in the service on the evening, it wasn't very genuinely welcoming, more functional. The bill was approximately £200 for 4 people and didn't include alcohol. I won't be going back.
